Chapter 1232: You Don’t Have to Worry...

Aldrian, who could clearly feel this man trying to place a curse on him, still kept his smile. Even without him doing anything, the curse instantly disappeared the moment it touched his body. It could not even reach his soul.

The curse was too weak to withstand Aldrian’s golden energy even for a second.

Aldrian decided to mess with the man in front of him by controlling him with his hypnotic technique.

"As my apology, I would like to invite this gentleman here for a drink. Do you have time for it?" Aldrian asked.

The man felt confused, but he could not help answering without much thought.

"Of course I do."

His followers were stunned hearing that. They never expected him to accept an unknown person’s invitation. Even the man himself felt confused about why he answered that way. But he still thought there was nothing wrong with his answer, which only made him even more confused.

He simply felt that answer was normal for him.

"Good, let’s go. Let me bring you to a nice place." Aldrian said after helping the man up and circling his arm around the man’s shoulder like they were close friends.

The man’s followers who saw it wanted to shout at Aldrian.

"You, how dare—"

"Shh, why are you so noisy? Look, your friend here is not offended by me, and he seems perfectly okay with me." Aldrian said while dragging the man’s body slightly forward to show his face to them.

The one who wanted to shout at Aldrian was fuming, but seeing the man in Aldrian’s arm silently nodding left the others not knowing what to do. From what they could see, the man seemed completely okay with how Aldrian treated him, which gave them another surprise.

They wanted to ask him something, but Aldrian had already turned around and dragged him away.

"Let’s go. Let’s not waste time anymore." Aldrian said.

The man did not say anything and simply let Aldrian guide him. The others from his group also could not do anything other than follow them. They still felt strange about the man’s behavior, but Aldrian did not give them time to think about what the hell was going on with him.

The other people who saw them were also surprised that Aldrian seemed able to smooth things over so easily when it could have caused a huge problem for him.

They did not understand how Aldrian did it, because if they had done what Aldrian did, they would likely still have gotten into trouble with the temple.

They wondered who Aldrian really was.

Aldrian and the group from the temple left the area and walked toward a deserted alleyway nearby, which confused the others from the temple. The people nearby who saw them also wondered why Aldrian and the group took that path, but they did not care much and simply continued with their own business.

After a few moments, the temple group finally realized something was wrong as they were being led nowhere. They arrived at a place where no one from the main street could see them. There was no one passing through this area either, which made the place extremely quiet.

As cultivators at pseudo immortal stage, they were not stupid, and their instincts immediately gave rise to a bad feeling.

"You, who are you? Why are you bringing us here?" one of them shouted while already circulating his energy, ready to unleash his technique. The others did the same as they stood warily while looking at Aldrian.

Aldrian, who knew these people had already realized they were being played, stopped walking and turned to look at them with a smile.

He pushed the man in his arm away, and the man suddenly felt something strange. It was as if his common sense had returned to him and he could think clearly again. He blinked a few times as his mind became clear, and at that moment he finally realized how absurd the situation was.

He did not understand why he walked here.

It was as if he had obeyed every one of Aldrian’s words as though it came from his own choice.

But suddenly, he felt his body become stiff and he could no longer move! He was not the only person who felt that, as his other friends also realized they could not move their bodies. It was as if they were trapped inside a solid object perfectly shaped to fit their bodies, making them unable to even move their lips.

They felt horrified as they tried to break free with their strength, but they could not. They wanted to say something, but only muffled sounds came out from their mouths because they could not move their lips.

Sweat rolled down their foreheads as they realized Aldrian was someone far stronger than them.

"To be honest, I did not think much when I saw you earlier," Aldrian said while still keeping his smile.

"However, an idea came into my mind the moment you placed a curse on that old woman." Aldrian said while looking at the man who had cursed the old woman.

The man’s heart turned cold as this man had found out what he did! He thought no one would realize it since he had cast the curse discreetly.

"Arven Whitesmoke."

Aldrian said the man’s name, which made the man’s and the others’ hearts tremble.

Aldrian knew the man’s name!

That meant Aldrian had already targeted their entire group from the very beginning.

They had fallen into his trap!

"You, who are you? How dare you do this to me?! If you do something to me, the Temple of Avergis will not let you go! You will never be able to hide even if you want to!"

A voice transmission entered Aldrian’s mind from Arven. Aldrian did not change his expression and simply kept his smile.

"Why would I not dare? I am already doing this to you, and you will become one of my pawns." Aldrian said normally before looking at the others. "And all of you, you will support me in my plan."

He then touched Arven’s forehead.

The others did not understand what Aldrian meant or what he was going to do.

Arven’s face was already filled with panic.

"What are you going to do?"

"Nothing. Just relax, and everything will pass before you even realize it." Aldrian answered through voice transmission as he placed the slave seal of the Everlasting Demonic Follower on him.

Arven could feel something embedding itself deep inside his soul, and he instantly realized what had happened to him. Aldrian had branded him with a slave seal!

He was shocked that his soul defense, which was connected to his talisman, did not react at all!

Arven wanted to shout through voice transmission, but Aldrian had already blocked his mind, making him unable to send any voice transmission.

After Aldrian finished placing the slave seal, Arven suddenly felt unbearable pain that made him forget everything other than the pain itself. Only after he no longer harbored hostile thoughts toward Aldrian did the pain finally subside before disappearing completely.

Arven wanted to take a deep breath, but he could not as he was still bound by the spatial lock. His eyes trembled with fear, and he could only watch as Aldrian placed slave seals on all of his friends. They were also experiencing the same pain as him, which could clearly be seen from their expressions.

The movements of their eyes showed how close they were to fainting before relief finally appeared on their faces as the pain disappeared.

"You don’t have to worry about what happened to you from now on. Just continue doing your own thing normally." Aldrian said after he finished placing the slave seals. He then approached Arven and healed his pain to the point that he no longer felt any lingering pain.

Arven felt despair as he knew that his life was already in Aldrian’s hands with a slave seal embedded in his soul. He did not know what Aldrian would make him do, but he had a bad feeling about this.

He did not dare think badly of Aldrian as the pain was something he had never felt before. He did not want to experience it again.

He could only watch as Aldrian healed each of his followers before finally sweeping his gaze across all of them with a smile.

"You will forget everything about me, and you will continue doing your own business like usual. Even if you feel that something strange happened to you, you will not think much about it."

After he said that, all of them suddenly found themselves back on the main street where Arven had crashed into Aldrian. The people nearby were shocked by their sudden appearance, and they were surprised to see them again.

Didn’t they leave with that unknown man? Why did they suddenly appear here?

Arven’s and his followers’ gazes turned blank for a moment before clarity slowly returned to them.

Confused expressions appeared on their faces as they looked at each other and blinked a few times.

Arven narrowed his eyes. He felt strange about why they were just standing there when they were supposed to be in the middle of walking. But in the end, he simply continued walking followed by the others as they pushed aside the confusion in their minds.

Their minds quickly returned to normal, and Arven’s expression returned to that of a young master enjoying the attention around him.

Aldrian had already returned to walking through the streets, continuing to enjoy his time until midnight was about to arrive.

He teleported to one of the restaurants that was always open and reserved a private chamber. He also ordered some food and two drinks before remaining silent until the food arrived.

Not long after, midnight finally arrived.

He remained silent for a moment before suddenly a teenager appeared beside him.
