Chapter 1007: Chapter 1007: Observe The Dismantle Process

At that exact moment, they finally remembered what Young Master Su had previously mentioned to them. One of the students in this academy truly possessed a functional, high-capacity storage rune.

"I have taken out exactly two hundred and four Stone-Clad Wolves." Bai Xifeng stated calmly, as if she had not just shocked the room.

"Thank you, Student Bai." Zhou Yaoting thanked her sincerely, his eyes scanning the pristine condition of the corpses.

"Teacher Zhou, may I stay here and observe them while they work?" Bai Xifeng suddenly asked, her eyes lighting up with visible curiosity.

"Of course. Why not?" Zhou Yaoting did not think much about the request and immediately allowed her to stay and watch.

Soon afterwards, the experts from the Armament Master Guild officially began their work, dismantling the Stone-Clad Wolves one after another with practised, terrifying efficiency. At first, many of them were visibly surprised after discovering rare Xien Stones hidden deep within the flesh of several beasts, their hands trembling slightly. However, they quickly calmed themselves down and resumed working with professional detachment.

Bai Xifeng carefully observed everything from the side, her sharp eyes tracing the lines of their knives. She noticed how they meticulously separated the organs, drained the blood, and sorted each usable part into different reinforced crates. Every single movement was extremely careful and precise, as though they feared accidentally nicking or damaging the valuable materials.

"Teacher Zhou, what are they planning to do with all the organs?" Bai Xifeng asked in a low voice.

"Many parts of spirit beasts have highly useful applications." Zhou Yaoting patiently explained, gesturing to a crate of bones. "Their skeletal structure can be used to craft specialised weapons such as armour-piercing arrows. Their bladders are incredibly useful ingredients for certain medicinal elixirs. We also plan to sell some of the more usable internal organs directly to the Pharmacist Division for their own research. As for the remaining, unusable parts... well, those are simply discarded and burned."

"I see..." Bai Xifeng silently memorised the information in her mind, thinking of how she might use such materials in the future.

After observing the meticulous process for quite some time, Bai Xifeng eventually felt satisfied enough with what she had learned. She informed Zhou Yaoting that she planned to leave, and the teacher thanked her once more for providing such a large number of resources to the division. Bai Xifeng merely nodded politely before departing from the area.

At this exact moment, now that her mind was free of distractions, her stomach began growling loudly. Thus, Bai Xifeng immediately decided to head straight toward the campus restaurant for a heavy meal.

However, while walking down the main path, she suddenly encountered someone she truly did not wish to meet. It was Liu Jun.

Liu Jun himself looked up, clearly not having expected to run into Bai Xifeng out in the open like this either. Meanwhile, Bai Xifeng simply kept her pace steady, intending to walk right past him without even sparing him a single glance.

"Bai Xifeng." Liu Jun called out her name immediately, his voice sharp and demanding.

Bai Xifeng, who had been busy thinking about the restaurant menu the entire time, finally stopped walking after hearing someone address her so sharply. When she realised it was Liu Jun blocking her way, she merely glanced at him briefly before taking a step to continue forward again.

"Bai Xifeng, you do not even wish to acknowledge me anymore?" Liu Jun stepped directly in front of her, his brow furrowing as he blocked her path once more.

"What do you want?" Bai Xifeng asked, her voice dripping with impatience.

"Bai Xifeng, you are technically one of my subjects, and I am the rightful heir to the nation. You should greet me with the proper respect befitting my status." Liu Jun said proudly, tilting his chin up.

"Oh..." Bai Xifeng replied flatly, her face deadpan, before she gave a completely emotionless, perfunctory bow. "Greetings to Your Highness, the Crown Prince. Happy now?"

"You!" Liu Jun became instantly flustered and angered by Bai Xifeng’s utterly nonchalant, disrespectful attitude.

"We are currently inside the gates of Tianlong School. Your royal status outside means absolutely nothing here." Another voice suddenly interrupted their conversation, smooth yet incredibly cold.

Bai Xifeng turned her head toward the source of the voice and saw Xie Zixin standing a few paces away, alongside the imposing, silent figure of Xie Yanlin.

Liu Jun frowned immediately, his hands unconsciously clenching tightly into fists. Even though the Xie Family technically belonged within the geographic territory of the Liuyin Empire, Nanning City had originally been part of the old Yue Kingdom. Because of that long-standing history, political independence, and deep-seated pride, the Xie Family had never cared much about the Liuyin Empire’s Royal Family at all. They certainly were not about to suddenly start showing unearned deference toward a prince merely because they happened to cross paths with him on the school grounds.

"Yanlin, Zixin..." Bai Xifeng immediately walked toward the two men, a relaxed, genuine smile lighting up her face as she ignored the prince entirely.

The moment Liu Jun saw that brilliant smile directed toward them, a wave of bitter jealousy instantly surged violently within his chest. That smile should belong only to him.

Yes... Yes...

He admitted to himself, with a gnawing sense of frustration, that he deeply regretted breaking off their engagement back then. But who could have possibly predicted that the supposedly useless Bai Xifeng would suddenly become capable of cultivating? Not only that, but she had even become far more outstanding, talented, and beautiful than Bai Chunhua in every conceivable aspect.

"Where are you heading to?" Xie Yanlin asked calmly, his gaze shifting away from the tense prince to look at her.
