Chapter 772: 772. Sunflower Inn

After leaving the inn, Tyler headed straight for one of the largest trading shops in Schez Town. The shop specialized in cultivation goods, and after spending a while browsing the shelves, he finally found what he wanted.

"I’ll take this storage bag."

The shop assistant immediately took the storage bag down with both hands and carefully placed it on the counter. Tyler inspected it briefly before paying without bargaining. As he was about to leave, he casually flicked a low-grade spirit stone onto the counter.

"For you."

The assistant froze for a second before his face lit up with excitement.

"Thank you, Young Master!"

His attitude instantly became even more respectful. He hurriedly took out a jade token engraved with the shop’s emblem and handed it over.

"This is our VIP token. As long as you visit any of our branches, you’ll receive priority service and discounted prices."

Tyler accepted it with a smile before leaving.

Not long afterward, he returned to the private room he had rented earlier. The moment the door closed, he waved his sleeve and dozens upon dozens of spirit stones spilled onto the floor. They rolled across the room before piling up on the table into a small hill, filling the room with rich spiritual energy.

Tyler didn’t even bother looking at them.

Instead, he untied the storage bag from his waist, took out the old copper pot, and gently placed the newly purchased storage bag inside.

A moment later, he reached in and calmly pulled out several identical copies.

"One for carrying money... four for Lee, Louch, Maximus and Shyla..."

He counted them one by one before nodding.

"One more for copying more."

Storage bags weren’t particularly expensive, atleast for Tyler, but having several of them would make future transactions much more convenient.

After separating them, Tyler picked up one empty storage bag and casually swept every spirit stone in the room inside. The little pouch looked ordinary from the outside, yet it easily swallowed the heap of spirit stones without changing shape.

Tyler weighed it in his hand before smiling.

"Let’s try this."

He placed the storage bag filled with spirit stones into the copper pot.

A few breaths later...

Very soon, he placed Five identical storage bags on the table. Tyler opened one at random. The same mountain of spirit stones lay quietly inside. He couldn’t help chuckling.

"Unlimited money mode unlocked."

Anyone else would probably have gone crazy from excitement.

Tyler merely packed away the bags one by one before cleaning the room as though nothing unusual had happened. After changing back into his Dark Forest Society robes and putting on the skeleton mask once more, he quietly left the inn.

By the time he arrived at the agreed meeting place, the others had already been waiting for quite some time.

"Boss." Maximus immediately waved.

The elderly broker also hurried over with a smile.

"Young Master, I’ve already spoken with the owner of the Sunflower Inn. If you’re interested, we can inspect the property first before discussing the price."

Tyler shook his head.

"There’s no need to inspect it."

The broker thought he had misheard. "Young Master... aren’t you going to look around first? We haven’t even discussed the price."

"If it’s one of the biggest inns in Schez Town, that’s enough." Tyler looked at the grand building across the street and casually added, "If everything is in order, I’ll buy it today."

The broker stood there for a moment before hurriedly nodding. Rich people really did think differently. Most buyers would spend half a day inspecting every room before bargaining over every spirit stone. This young man hadn’t even crossed the front door yet and was already talking about buying the entire inn.

"Please follow me."

The group entered the spacious lobby one after another. The broker quickly left alone to fetch the owner.

Several attendants immediately recognized the robes of the Dark Forest Society and instinctively became nervous. Earlier that day they had refused these very same disciples by claiming every room had been occupied. Now those same people had returned, accompanied by a broker no less.

Before anyone could figure out what was happening, laughter came from behind.

"Well... if it isn’t the disciples of the Dark Forest Society."

Dave walked into the lobby with several Sun Dial Sect disciples following behind him. He looked Tyler’s group up and down before chuckling.

"What happened? Still looking for a place to sleep? I already told you this morning. People don’t like corpse cultivators. Rather than wasting your time knocking on doors, why not find a quiet corner outside the city? At least the roadside doesn’t charge spirit stones."

The disciples behind him laughed loudly.

Lee’s face immediately darkened, while Louch had already clenched his fists.

Tyler simply said, while lightly knocking on the table with a finger, "Sit."

Lee and Louch looked at each other before quietly sitting back down.

Seeing that nobody reacted, Dave frowned slightly. He had followed them here specifically to provoke the Dark Forest Society into making the first move. If a fight broke out inside Schez Town, the law enforcement team wouldn’t care who started the argument. The one who attacked first would naturally suffer.

Unfortunately, the masked man acted as though he didn’t even exist.

Dave wasn’t willing to let the matter end there.

He looked around the magnificent lobby before laughing again.

"Then again... even if this inn had empty rooms, could you actually afford to stay here? The Sunflower Inn isn’t somewhere just anyone can enter."

One disciple beside him subconsciously muttered, "Senior Brother Dave... honestly speaking, even for us, I think this place is too expensive."

Smack.

Dave slapped the back of the disciple’s head.

"You fool. Which side are you on?"

The disciple immediately lowered his head.

"...Sorry, Senior Brother."

Just as Dave was thinking of another sarcastic remark, hurried footsteps came from upstairs.

A young man dressed in luxurious robes descended with a smile on his face. The moment Dave saw him, his expression changed slightly.

"Jack Nelson..."

Among the younger generation of the Nelson Clan, Jack’s status wasn’t low at all. Rumor had it that he was one of the candidates competing for the position of the next Clan Head. Dave immediately stepped forward with a smile.

"Young Master Jack, I am Dave from the Sun Dial Sect. It’s a pleasure to—"

Jack walked straight past him as though he hadn’t heard a single word.

He stopped in front of Tyler instead and cupped his hands politely.

"Honored Guest, I apologize for keeping you waiting."

The elderly broker finally caught up and laughed awkwardly.

"Young Master Jack, this is the buyer I mentioned."

"I see."

Jack’s smile became even warmer.

"If that’s the case, please come with me. We can discuss everything upstairs."

As he turned around, he suddenly stopped and looked toward the attendants standing stiffly behind the counter.

"What are all of you standing there for?"

The attendants immediately lowered their heads.

"Our distinguished guest has arrived, yet none of you even served tea?"

His tone turned cold.

"Bring the finest spiritual tea to my office."

"Yes, Young Master!"

The attendants scattered in panic.

Only then did Jack seem to notice Dave standing nearby.

"Oh... disciples of the Sun Dial Sect."

Dave forced a smile.

"Young Master Jack."

Jack nodded politely.

"I’m afraid you’ll have to visit another day. The inn isn’t receiving guests today."

After saying that, he personally led Tyler’s group upstairs, leaving Dave and the others standing in the middle of the lobby. Watching the Dark Forest Society disciples disappear onto the second floor, Dave’s face gradually became darker than the robes worn by the people he had mocked only moments earlier.

Inside Jack Nelson’s office, the negotiation surprisingly never began. Instead of discussing the inn, Jack casually chatted about business, trade routes, and his experiences managing shops across the country. He even talked about his dream of opening something completely different from a traditional inn one day.

Tyler listened patiently before smiling. "If Young Master Jack is interested in investing in new businesses, you might want to watch tomorrow’s competition. We’ll be introducing something new. I think it’ll surprise you."

Jack’s curiosity was immediately stirred.

"Oh? You’re making me interested already."

"You’ll have to wait until tomorrow," Tyler replied with a mysterious smile.

Jack laughed. "Keeping secrets now? Fine, you’ve successfully piqued my curiosity."

Only then did Tyler steer the conversation back.

"Now, let’s talk business. How much is the Sunflower Inn? If the price is acceptable, we can sign the transfer contract today."

Jack blinked in surprise before nodding.

"The asking price is ten thousand low-grade spirit stones. The inn earns a considerable monthly profit, and—"

"I’ll buy it."

The room instantly fell silent.

Jack stared at Tyler, wondering if he had heard correctly.

Even Shyla couldn’t help blurting out, "T-Ten thousand low-grade spirit stones? Boss... are you serious? Even many elders would think twice before spending that much."

Tyler didn’t answer. He simply waved his hand and placed twenty storage bags neatly across the table.

The skeleton standing behind Shyla tilted its skull.

Its lower jaw slowly fell off and hit the floor with a loud clack.
