Chapter 681: Chapter 639: I Also Want to Be This Kind of Person! (13)

"Okay, I’m coming down!"

Amid the roaring chants for them to get together that filled the auditorium, Qin Fan still clearly caught Jiang Yino’s call for him to come down. A smile touched his lips. He pushed the microphone stand aside, hopped off the high platform, and then strode down from the stage. As the crowd’s roar died down to an abrupt silence, he quickly walked toward the back of the auditorium. Reaching Jiang Yino, he didn’t hesitate for a second. He decisively took her small hand and led her straight outside.

His commanding presence instantly captivated everyone. By the time the crowd snapped back to their senses, Qin Fan and Jiang Yino were long gone.

"I’d rather be a pair of loving mandarin ducks than a lonely immortal! That was so MANLY! Yino is so damn lucky!" Du Ruanqing murmured, stunned with admiration.

At the same time, a wave of sighs swept through the audience. In that moment, countless girls felt a pang of loneliness.

"Damn! Our guy pulled off that move like no one else!" Zhu Houqing exclaimed, deeply impressed. He then added in a daze, "I want to be a man like that too!"

"Get lost, you won’t get a chance even in your next life!" Wang Dalu retorted with a teasing laugh.

As they bantered, murmurs and commotion stirred throughout the auditorium, leaving the performers scheduled after Qin Fan completely bewildered. Are we even supposed to go on stage after that?

「Outside the auditorium.」

Qin Fan led Jiang Yino by the hand, their walk finally coming to a stop at a secluded stone bench in a small grove. He took off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders before sitting on the bench and pulling her down onto his lap.

As soon as she settled, Jiang Yino noticed that Qin Fan was only wearing a thin t-shirt, and her heart ached for him. "I’m not cold, you should wear it!" she chided softly.

"Just keep it on," Qin Fan ordered gently but firmly, tightening his arms around her. He sounded like the head of the household gently scolding his disobedient young wife.

Hearing this, Jiang Yino couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle. However, just as Qin Fan’s hands started to roam, she quickly swatted them away. "Behave!"

Stung by the swat, Qin Fan gave a wry smile and stopped his advances. He hugged her close again and asked, "Yino, the holiday starts tomorrow. Do you have any plans?"

Jiang Yino smiled slyly. "Somehow, I get the feeling you’ve already made plans for me."

"I have." Qin Fan’s expression turned serious as he met her gaze. "Come back to Jiangzhou with me," he said gently. "We can have some fun for a few days... and you can meet my parents."

Jiang Yino gasped, completely stunned. Go to Jiangzhou? Meet his parents? This... this is—!

After a moment, she shifted on his lap and said hesitantly, "Isn’t this... a bit too fast? I don’t think I’m ready for that."

"It’s not too fast. The timing is perfect," Qin Fan said firmly, shaking his head. "Don’t say no. Come with me tomorrow." The hope in his eyes was unmistakable. She knew he was resolute, and her heart suddenly began to race.

Biting her lip, having already made her decision, Jiang Yino voiced her biggest worry, "What if your parents don’t like me?" After all, with Qin Fan’s family background, she was just a girl from an ordinary family. In the eyes of others, they were a complete mismatch, and she couldn’t simply ignore these anxieties.

"Then we’ll just have to go tomorrow and find out, won’t we?" Qin Fan grinned, knowing he had won. He pulled her even tighter against his body.

Just as Qin Fan was about to get restless again...

RUSTLE! RUSTLE!

Her hearing sharp, Jiang Yino suddenly caught the sound of footsteps nearby. She panicked and scrambled free, exclaiming, "Someone’s coming!" As the words left her mouth, she instinctively leaped off Qin Fan’s lap, her heart fluttering anxiously.

Qin Fan, however, merely smiled, completely unbothered. Of course he knew someone was coming. He even knew it was Du Ruanqing and Ou Mingsi.

Sure enough, just as Jiang Yino was straightening herself out, Ou Mingsi’s teasing voice came from the side. "Ahem... Yino, no need to hide! We saw you two from way back there!"

"Wow, what a great spot! Mr. Fan, you sure know how to pick ’em!" Du Ruanqing’s equally teasing voice chimed in.

Seeing their two mischievous, grinning faces approaching, Jiang Yino hastily stood up. Feeling utterly mortified, she shot a quick "See you tomorrow!" at Qin Fan before rushing over to the two girls, grabbing them without another word, and practically dragging them away.

A chorus of delightful, teasing laughter lingered in the quiet grove.
