Chapter 667: Chapter 625: Wrong and Betrayal!
"Is this all the strength they have, to have run amok in Huaxia for so long? It seems the people from the Guardian Institute are hopelessly incompetent!" Qin Fan shook his head in sorrow, looking at the vampires and the pack of werewolves struggling to escape the grasp of the Green Light from his Prison Suppressing Body.
"Fuck! How can this be? How can this be!"
Being immobilized meant they were nothing more than fish on a butcher’s chopping block. Whether it was the three vampires or the pack of werewolves, they all screamed in terror. Despite their desperate struggles, they couldn’t move an inch.
WHOOSH!
With a cold smirk, Qin Fan retrieved a utility knife from the storage space in his sea of consciousness. He flicked his wrist, and its glittering blade flashed with a piercing, cold light.
"You like drinking blood, do you? Today, you’ll get a taste of what it’s like to be bled dry!"
At his word, Qin Fan flicked the tip of the utility knife forward. The blade pierced a werewolf’s flesh, striking a blood vessel. With a gentle slash, dark red, almost black, putrid blood immediately spurted out!
"No, no, no! Save me, boss, save me!" the werewolf wailed frantically as he watched his own blood surge from the ruptured vessel.
Yes, it was true that werewolves had the ability to self-heal. The problem was, he was held completely immobile by the Green Light’s pull, his powers restricted. Simply put, he was no different from an ordinary human. In such a state, how could he possibly heal himself? Waiting for death, waiting to be bled dry—it seemed this was the only desperate path left for him.
Qin Fan couldn’t understand the Russian words, but he could guess their meaning. He paid them no mind, merely glancing at the werewolf leader who was getting back on his feet. The leader’s head was lowered as if he were concocting something, but Qin Fan dismissively looked away.
The utility knife in his hand blurred into a series of afterimages, its gleaming edge flashing as it swiftly sliced one werewolf after another.
「In the blink of an eye.」
With him at the center, not a single werewolf caught by the Prison Suppressing Light escaped their fate. He had sliced open the blood vessels of every last one of them. The pungent stench of Wolf Blood filled the air as it sprayed around Qin Fan like a fountain, but he remained utterly unfazed by the gore that splattered onto him.
The leader of the werewolf squad was still bent over, concocting his plan. He seemed completely unconcerned with the life-or-death struggles of his kin, ignoring their continuous roars without so much as a glance.
"No, no! We’ll leave Huaxia! Spare us, we’ll withdraw from Huaxia immediately, right now!" the three vampires pleaded incoherently as Qin Fan turned his gaze toward them.
"Too late!" Qin Fan let out a chilling sneer.
He grabbed one of the vampires and yanked him forward. Before the creature could even resist in the instant he was freed from the grasp of the Prison Suppressing Light, Qin Fan fiercely plunged the utility knife into the edge of his temple.
HISS!
Blood gushed out in a frenzied column. Thanks to the precise angle Qin Fan had chosen, the vampire didn’t die immediately. Instead, his consciousness grew ever more intense. Like the werewolves, these vampires also possessed the ability to self-heal. However, the spot where the utility knife had pierced him was his one fatal weakness—a place he could not regenerate. As blood streamed out, the vampire felt his lifeblood rapidly draining away, drop by drop.
Withdrawing the knife, Qin Fan casually slammed the vampire to the ground.
His consciousness growing ever clearer, the vampire struggled ceaselessly on the ground. But as the blood flowed, his crawling body grew weaker and weaker until he could only lie paralyzed, watching the viscous fluid spurt unceasingly from his wound.
For a vampire, death only came from being burned to ashes or decapitated; as long as a single trace of blood remained, they would not die. And now, he was facing the only other path to his demise aside from being burned or beheaded. He was too weak to move, his blood gushing out with no way to replenish it. What was this, if not waiting for death?
Not far away, Norman, another vampire, began to tremble violently. His once-ruddy face was now ashen. Combined with his vampiric nature, he was the spitting image of a vampire from novels and films. Listening to Bill’s pleas for help fade from strong to weak, Norman’s body trembled uncontrollably. He didn’t dare move a muscle. He was so stunned by Qin Fan’s incredible power that he even forgot the instinct to run.
"No! No!"
Completely ignoring Jeremy, Norman, and the werewolf leader, Qin Fan turned to the next vampire, deaf to his terror-filled cries for mercy. His utility knife, still warm and slick with blood, was inserted into the next vampire’s temple in the exact same manner. He then casually tossed the body to the ground. After the second, the third and final vampire could not escape the same fate.
The same end, the same way of dying. Qin Fan had, in a way, mercifully granted them a little more time to live. But this mercy became the most torturous ordeal for the soul. In the process of waiting for death, their consciousness would crumble over and over until it was utterly shattered and lost.
In the folklore of Huaxia, to die in such a manner meant becoming a soulless, wandering ghost.
"You’re the one who abducted the missing girl today, aren’t you?" After dealing with the three vampires, Qin Fan ignored the still-scheming werewolf leader and turned to the shivering Jeremy, asking coldly.
"No, no, it wasn’t me! It was him, Norman, it was him!" Hearing Qin Fan bring up the source of all this trouble, a terrified Jeremy pointed at Norman and yelled incoherently.
"Jeremy! You... how could you blame me? You’re the one who kidnapped her! I... I only helped you drain her blood, and you’re trying to pin this on me!" Norman shrieked, whipping his head around to glare in disbelief.
"It wasn’t me! It wasn’t me, I didn’t do it! Qin Fan, this has nothing to do with me! It was all him! He orchestrated everything! Not only did he abduct the girl, but after draining her blood... he... he violated her corpse! He did it! It was all him!"
No matter how composed or imposing he’d been in the past, Jeremy’s mind was now in utter chaos, his thoughts and senses scrambled. All he could think about was desperately shifting the blame, completely forgetting his own predicament. Even if he succeeded, could he truly earn Qin Fan’s forgiveness? With the fate of the others serving as a clear warning, how could Qin Fan possibly show him mercy?
"Fuck! Fuck! Jeremy, you son of a bitch! You sold me out! You actually sold me out!" Norman roared ferociously.
The next moment, he lunged at Jeremy, Tusk bared and claws out.
His gleaming Tusk was fully exposed as his eyes flashed blood-red!
He was terrified of Qin Fan, but he didn’t fear Jeremy, whose strength was comparable to his own. As his Tusk gleamed, his blood-red eyes filled with an utterly crazed killing intent! This killing intent had, in a way, been forced out of him by Qin Fan. He had already been on the verge of a mental breakdown, and now, Jeremy’s accusation and betrayal had lit the final fuse, driving him into a frenzy.
In that moment, the English vampire, his fearsome Tusk revealed, had only a single thought: to sink that Tusk deep into the Russian werewolf’s throat and relieve the panic that was shattering his mind.
