Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Killer Whale Mount
’Human, pet me, pet me.’
’Get lost, I was here first.’
’¥#@%&*, you wanna fight? Let’s go! Whoever chickens out is a coward!’
The three young killer whales bumped against each other, cursing up a storm.
"Jiaojiao, you..."
Yun Linhai and the others wanted to call Yun Jiao over, afraid the killer whales might accidentally hurt her.
But with a mischievous glint in her eye, Yun Jiao was already swinging a leg over the side of the boat, her movements and expression part of an exaggerated performance.
"Dad, I’m accidentally falling in!"
Then she leaped into the sea.
The three men, who were not blind: ...
They were so shocked that, for a moment, they forgot to grab her.
"Jiaojiao!"
It wasn’t a cry of worry, but of anger.
His voice was laced with a hint of gritted teeth when he yelled her name.
As Yun Jiao hit the water, the killer whales dove in after her.
The three men ran over to look, only to see Yun Jiao already riding one of the killer whales, her small hands clutching its fin as she laughed with glee.
The killer whale happily carried her in a circle around the wooden boat.
"Dad, don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine."
Yun Linhai slapped the side of the boat. "That little rascal, she’s getting bolder and bolder!"
"Get back up here right now!"
Even though they knew Yun Jiao had some miraculous abilities, how could they not worry with such a massive killer whale?
Yun Jiao replied, "I don’t want to! Dad, Big Brother, Little Uncle, the killer whales are taking me home! You guys hurry and keep up."
Last time it was a sea turtle, this time it’s a killer whale.
The killer whale was obviously much faster, and a much more impressive mount.
The killer whale Yun Jiao was riding swam out in front, with a whole pod of others following behind as a royal escort.
It was such a grand spectacle that even a shark would have to turn tail and flee.
Yun Linhai and the others could only row their boat and follow nervously.
Yun Chendong stood at the bow, watching how deliriously happy Yun Jiao was, without a hint of fear. Gradually, he started to relax a little.
At least for now, she seemed safe.
The killer whales swam fast. Sometimes, when they got too far ahead, Yun Jiao would have them circle back around the boat.
She called out cheerfully to the men on the boat, "Dad! Little Uncle! Big Brother! Look at me, look at me! Don’t you want to come down and play too~?"
The men on the boat: ...
Thankfully, they were all adults. Although they were a little tempted, they managed to keep their composure.
If it had been Yun Xiaowu and the other kids, they probably would have jumped into the sea eagerly at the first shout from Yun Jiao.
Since Yun Jiao was unwilling to get back on the boat, Yun Chendong could only remind her, "Don’t go too fast."
Yun Jiao nodded. "I know."
"Let’s go~!"
The obedient killer whales took her racing through the ocean.
When they encountered a fish, a killer whale would smack it with its tail, stunning it.
And it wasn’t a small fish, either.
Based on the principle of not being wasteful, Yun Jiao had the killer whale carry the fish in its mouth and swim back.
"Dad, a fish! A big fish!"
When Yun Linhai and the others looked, they saw it was a Devil Fish!
"Such a big Devil Fish. Aren’t they going to eat it?"
Yun Jiao explained, "They already ate before they came to find me."
After delivering the Devil Fish to the boat, Yun Jiao went off to play with the killer whales again.
As they neared the coastal waters, Yun Linhai’s boat encountered another one from the village.
They were also heading back just then.
"Hey, Linhai, did you guys find any good catches?"
Yun Linhai replied, "We got lucky. Ran into a school of red triple-fins."
Hearing this, the men on the other boat were instantly envious.
"You must have caught a lot, then."
"Just lucky, just lucky."
Since they had run into each other, they naturally headed for the pier together.
"Huh? I thought that little girl, Yun Jiao, went out to sea with you. Where is she?"
Yun Linhai opened his mouth. How was he supposed to explain that his daughter had run off to play, riding on the back of a killer whale?
No explanation was needed. Yun Jiao was on her way back.
"Dad! Dad! Look what I found!"
Yun Jiao’s soft, childish voice drifted over, sounding a little indistinct.
The men on the other boat followed the sound with their eyes, and in the next second, their eyes went wide and their jaws dropped open wide enough to fit an egg.
"She... she... she..."
As Yun Jiao got closer, she noticed the other boat, tilted her head, and called out a greeting.
"Uncle Sen! Brother Ah Cai!"
"You... you... you..."
"A killer whale... a killer whale..."
They had never seen anything like it.
Yun Linhai and the others gave a dry laugh and explained, "Um... these killer whales are the family of the one we saved before. They seem to be a bit friendly, haha."
’A bit friendly? They’re letting her ride on their backs!’
"Jiaojiao, hurry up and get on the boat. It’s time to go back."
They could already see the pier in the bay of Bailong Village.
Yun Jiao could only reluctantly bid farewell to the killer whales.
"You guys can go now. I’ll come play with you again next time."
This time, Yun Jiao didn’t struggle when she was lifted back onto the boat.
She was holding a piece of red coral in her hand.
"Dad, look! Coral!"
Yun Linhai and the others glanced at it and nodded, not paying it much mind.
It was tiny, only the size of Yun Jiao’s palm. Nowadays, something like that wasn’t valuable; in fact, no one would even want it.
"You can play with it."
The killer whales cried out to Yun Jiao one last time before reluctantly dispersing.
The father and son on the neighboring boat finally came to their senses.
"Are those killer whales... really that docile?"
The young man named Ah Cai’s eyes lit up. "Would the killer whales let anyone else ride them?"
He wanted to give it a try.
’Riding a killer whale in the sea... that would be so cool!’
Yun Linhai scratched his head. "Why don’t you go try it yourself someday?"
Before Ah Cai could answer, his father smacked him on the back of the head.
"You dare try? You think a killer whale would even pay attention to you?"
"A killer whale’s mouth is huge! It could take your leg off in one bite, and you still want to try?"
Ah Cai covered his head, dodging his father’s blows. "I was just asking! I wasn’t really going to go."
Yun Linhai gave a dry laugh. "For safety’s sake, it’s better not to get close to those killer whales. If one of them accidentally bumps into the boat, what’re we gonna do?"
As for Yun Jiao, well, their Jiaojiao was clearly no ordinary person.
When the boat reached the pier, Yun Chendong immediately went to get Ah Wang.
Yun Jiao sat on the boat, a sea turtle lying beside her.
She was sorting through some shrimp. These shrimp weren’t worth much, so she planned to take them home to make dried shrimp for herself to eat.
There were also some small, finger-sized fish.
They were best for making fried dried fish, but it used a lot of oil, so they could only have it once in a long while.
Yun Wang arrived, with a few people following him.
Yun Jiao looked up and noticed three people with strange hair and eye colors.
They were clearly different from the black hair and black eyes of the villagers.
The other people on the pier also cast several glances at the foreigners.
"Why are there foreigners here?"
Ah Wang had a smile on his face. "Brothers, did you get anything good this time? I’ve got some guests today, so if you have any good stuff, bring it out. I’ll make sure you won’t lose out."
Ah Wang shot them a meaningful look.
Then he turned his head and said in a low voice to a young man beside him, "Boss Lin, the abalone I got before was from them."
Yun Linhe understood. This was a big boss who wasn’t short on cash.
"We actually do have something."
Yun Linhe confidently took out the enormous mud crab and asked,
"Take a look. Interested in this?"
