Chapter 82: Chapter 81: Almost Crashed
He tried to focus his Perception on the statue again, but its outward appearance hadn’t changed. It was as if what had just happened was merely an illusion.
But the statue’s body had been sculpted from his own Magic Power Polymer. Now, it had activated, as if a Magic Power cycle had formed within it.
This was no longer Qin Xiaoxia’s own Magic Power, but a special kind that was aligned with the Law of the Order of Truth.
It was a bit of a contradiction. Although the cycle had activated, the Magic Power reaction showed no "emotional" fluctuations. It was like a substance operating on mechanical principles.
’Perhaps this can’t even be considered Magic Power anymore. It’s just the materialization of a Law.’
Doudou’s Perception wasn’t as strong as Qin Xiaoxia’s to begin with, and he didn’t have the buff that came with being a Secret Realm Weaver. He was therefore slower on the uptake and only just now began to notice the change.
Seeing that there was no apparent danger, he jumped out from behind the pillar.
"Big Bro, did we do it?"
His voice was buzzing with excitement.
The Mischievous Elf had never accomplished anything of consequence, to say nothing of a monumental feat like creating an Image of Order.
"Correction. *I* succeeded!"
Qin Xiaoxia snapped at Doudou, who hadn’t lifted a finger from start to finish.
"Okay, fine, you can have some of the credit. After all, you were the backup!"
After just a few exchanges, the two of them could no longer contain their excitement.
An Image of Order wasn’t something you could just whip up. They were incredibly rare, even in Magson.
It wasn’t just the difficulty of finding high-quality Magic Power; the most dangerous part was the Order Gravity phase.
Doudou knew of one particular incident.
Once, the Fairies had tried to create a Statue of Windsor. They had gathered dozens of high-level Secret Realm Weavers and Magic Awakeners, along with many powerful Guard Soldiers.
But they’d had a run of bad luck. The Order Gravity lasted for three full days before completely collapsing on the evening of the third day.
The layered Secret Realms were torn apart, and three bizarre, never-before-seen monsters radiating agony poured in. They caused heavy casualties among the Fairies, and the nearly-completed Statue of Windsor was stolen.
It was safe to say that Qin Xiaoxia and Doudou had found a clever loophole.
They had communicated with the world’s environment to gather basic information, and used Doudou’s past memories to understand the shielding effect of the Power of the World.
Creating the Statue of Comir in this environment meant they could use the Power of the World as a powerful shield.
This was something the Fairies’ Secret Realm couldn’t even begin to compare with.
Qin Xiaoxia had originally been on the lookout for any "little critters" that might show up. He’d estimated they would be on the level of Chiperlo Ghouls or Swamp Monsters, which the Secret Realm could have easily handled.
He hadn’t expected the Law of Order’s response to be so surprisingly fast, its effect so surprisingly good, and the duration of the gravity so surprisingly short.
It was almost as if it couldn’t wait, which nearly made Qin Xiaoxia believe that "Comir" wasn’t just an anthropomorphic concept, but the name of a True God.
However, he quickly theorized a possible explanation.
The Earth World seemed different from all the other worlds Doudou had described. It felt like it was missing something, yet at the same time, it felt more unique.
It was highly likely that the world’s environment itself was in a near-vacuum state when it came to the Six Great Orders.
Because of Qin Xiaoxia, a small tear had suddenly appeared in this vacuum. It was like a spacesuit being punctured in space; in an instant, the Laws of Order rushed madly toward the opening.
This directly resulted in an extraordinary effect that neither Qin Xiaoxia nor Doudou could believe.
Looked at in this light, this Statue of Comir was unconventional in both its quality and its very nature.
"So... shall we give it a try?"
Qin Xiaoxia could barely suppress his excitement.
The big one and the little one approached the Statue of Comir, their eyes gleaming and snickering mischievously. They looked like a pair of perverts, one large and one small.
Communicating with the Statue of Comir wasn’t a simple question-and-answer exchange like one would have with a person.
Qin Xiaoxia retrieved the Mother Crystal Ore and walked up to the statue.
Using the faint connection that remained with his Original Magic Power, he established a strange link with the Statue of Comir.
Everything he was thinking about, everything he understood about this world, was clearly magnified in this instant.
HMMMM—
Amidst a mental hum and vibration, a whole new world exploded into existence in his mind. Qin Xiaoxia felt his thoughts had never moved so efficiently or so quickly.
His mind and the Order of Truth were exchanging information, as if a high-speed channel connected them, allowing data to shuttle back and forth.
Only then did Qin Xiaoxia understand. The Statue of Comir didn’t simply give the user answers; it was a way to channel the Order of Truth.
It was like a combination amplifier and accelerator, speeding up the user’s own thought processes while also making it easier to extract supplementary information from the interconnected Law of Truth that spanned all worlds.
However, it only worked on whatever the user was thinking about at the exact moment of their query.
It wasn’t that it couldn’t provide a comprehensive overview, but if the user wasn’t a legendary, "god-level" being, their brain would likely explode in an instant.
Qin Xiaoxia’s current state wasn’t much better.
"Urgh... ghh... hhhh..."
His entire body trembled uncontrollably, as if he had malaria. His Magic Power spontaneously enveloped him from head to toe, trying to suppress the adverse reaction.
Doudou had long since leaped back behind the pillar.
He shouted with a worried expression.
"Big Bro! Hang in there! Big Bro, you can do it!!!"
Even though his mind was now like a circuit of pure light, Qin Xiaoxia could still hear Doudou’s shouts, and they were infinitely amplified.
His mind was filled with two things: the method to perfect the Magic Energy Crystal Ore, and Doudou’s booming cheers.
’I’m going to kill him!!!’
Miraculously, driven by pure rage, he managed to form a separate thought even in a state where he could barely maintain his focus.
Two streams of blood trickled from his nostrils, quickly flowing over his chin and staining the front of his shirt red.
Doudou fell silent.
’This is bad! If Big Bro croaks, what am I going to do?’
’Forget Gou Junbao. Mrs. Huang would probably take me in... Hmm, that silly girl Su Su seems like an even better option...’
’Wait, no! If Big Bro croaks, I won’t even be able to leave the Secret Realm! I, Doudou, will starve to death in here! AAAAAAAH!!!’
His concern for Qin Xiaoxia instantly skyrocketed more than tenfold.
Doudou began to shout again at the top of his lungs.
"BIG BRO!!! YOU... HAVE... TO... HANG... ON! YOU CAN DO IT!!!"
’Big Bro looks terrifying, but his Magic Power is still stable. He should be fine, right?’
Suddenly, an idea struck him. Doudou immediately used his Magic Power to activate the Secret Realm Technique on his arm that he hadn’t used yet.
"Kelson... Luna..."
The power of Secret Realm Weaving instantly focused in the empty hall. At the same time, the Shadow of the Red Demoness appeared, already looking almost corporeal.
"Kelson... Luna..."
A Magic Language, even more beautiful and ethereal, issued from the lips of the Shadow of the Red Demoness.
Qin Xiaoxia was shaking violently. He felt as if his head had swollen large enough to contain the entire Earth. A nauseating sensation flooded his muddled Perception, but the speed of his thoughts didn’t slow in the slightest.
"Kelson... Luna..."
A voice echoed.
A power was pressing in on his mind from all directions.
The head that felt as large as the Earth seemed to be getting compressed back to its normal size.
