Chapter 242: Chapter 242: Blood Frenzy
Alexander dialed Aria’s number again and again, but the line just kept ringing until it went to voicemail. He switched to Mrs. Gable, then to Serena, but nobody was answering. He kept redialing while sprinting across the campus parking lot toward his silver Tahoe. He ripped the door open, threw himself inside, and slammed his fist against the steering wheel.
"Shit! Answer the phone! Answer me!" shouted Alexander, his voice echoing inside the cabin as he started the engine and tore out of the parking lot, the tires screeching against the asphalt.
After dozens of desperate attempts while weaving through traffic at breakneck speeds, his phone finally buzzed, and Evelyn Gable’s voice came through the speaker.
"What is going on, Alexander?" asked Mrs. Gable, her tone sharp and annoyed. "I have a ridiculous amount of missed calls from you."
"Where are you?" demanded Alexander, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the wheel.
"I’m at my house. Why? What is happening?" asked Mrs. Gable.
"I’m on my way there right now," said Alexander, his breathing ragged. "Where is Aria?"
"She went to get some medical exams done, I already told you," said Mrs. Gable, her voice tightening.
"Don’t lie to me, Evelyn! Do not goddamn lie to me!" yelled Alexander, pressing his foot flat on the accelerator. "Tell me where Aria is right now!"
The crushing sensation of desperation inside Alexander’s chest was growing with every passing second. A suffocating weight on his heart was screaming at him that something was terribly wrong, and it wasn’t as simple as her hiding from him. He had to get there.
"Alexander, it’s nothing, calm down," said Mrs. Gable coldly. "I will have her call you when she gets back."
She hung up the phone.
With a deafening screech of tires, Alexander’s heavy truck smashed through the main security gates of the Gable mansion, sending metal debris flying everywhere. The private guards recognized his vehicle, which froze them just long enough to keep them from opening fire. Alexander slammed the brakes, threw the door open, and bolted toward the main entrance before the truck had even stopped moving.
He kicked the heavy front doors open, storming into the luxury villa like a hurricane.
"Aria!!" roared Alexander, his eyes bloodshot as he scanned the massive foyer. "Where the hell are you, Aria?!"
A frantic, chaotic search began. Alexander tore through the downstairs hallways, throwing doors off their hinges and shattering expensive vases as he moved. Mrs. Gable hurried down the grand staircase, her face pale as she tried to step in front of him.
"Alexander, stop this madness right now!" shouted Mrs. Gable, waving her hands in a desperate attempt to halt his advance.
Alexander ignored her, shoving past her into the inner courtyard. Seeing the massive breach of security and the clear danger, four armed guards rushed into the hallway, drawing their weapons as they realized the young man was out of control.
But Alexander was no longer human. The high-grade TMC combat potions floating in his bloodstream reacted with his extreme spike of adrenaline and panic, altering his neural pathways to a terrifying, monstrous level. This time, his frenzy didn’t crave a tactical victory; it craved absolute slaughter.
He closed the distance to the first guard before the man could even raise his rifle. Alexander grabbed his weapon, snapping it in half with his bare hands, and delivered a brutal elbow straight to the guard’s chest, shattering his ribs and collapsing his lung.
The second guard lunged forward, but Alexander grabbed his extended arm, twisting it until the shoulder joint dislocated with a sickening crunch. He slammed the man’s head into the marble wall, knocking him unconscious.
The third guard tried to draw a sidearm, but Alexander grabbed him by the throat, lifting his entire body off the floor, and smashed him down onto the tiled floor with enough force to crack the stone, leaving him paralyzed and bleeding from the mouth.
The remaining guards took a step back, their faces filled with horror as they stared at the bloodthirsty beast standing in the middle of the ruined hallway.
The panic and the deafening roar of automatic gunfire shattered the mansion’s silence.
Alexander didn’t hesitate. He launched himself through the air, diving clean over a leather sofa just as a volley of bullets tore the cushions to shreds. Mid-leap, his hand blurred toward his holster, drawing his tactical pistol with inhuman speed.
Bang! Bang!
Two crisp, echoing shots rang out. Two guards dropped, bullet holes drilled perfectly between their eyes before their bodies even hit the floor.
Alexander crashed behind the barricade, rolling to evade a fresh barrage of drywall-shattering rounds. He vaulted back up into the open, his weapon roaring in a relentless rhythm as he initiated a brutal, close-quarters gunfight.
Evelyn Gable stood frozen at the top of the stairs, her hands pressed over her mouth in terror. She had always known Alexander was dangerous, but she never imagined he could become this irrational, this monstrous. He was tearing through her elite, highly trained personal security force as if they were nothing but cardboard cutouts, his eyes burning with a terrifying, bloodthirsty frenzy that showed no signs of stopping.
"Stop! Everyone, stop shooting right now!" screamed Evelyn Gable from the staircase, her voice cracking with desperation.
Hearing her direct order, the remaining guards lowered their weapons, terrified of accidentally hitting her in the chaotic crossfire.
Alexander stood in the center of the ruined foyer, surrounded by blood and spent shell casings. His chest heaved huffing and panting like a rabid bull as his fingers remained tightly wrapped around the grip of his smoking gun, his eyes darting around locked into his combat instincts and ready to split open anyone who made a single move.
Evelyn marched down the steps, her face pale with rage but her posture unyielding. She closed the distance between them and unleashed a sharp, resounding slap right across his face.
Crack!
Alexander’s head snapped to the side, but his body didn’t even budge from the blow.
"What the hell do you think you are doing in my house, you goddamn idiot?!" shouted Mrs. Gable, glaring up into his bloodshot eyes without a single shred of fear. "Do you think I am afraid of you?! This is not a place for you to come and do whatever the hell you want!"
Alexander slowly turned his gaze back to her, his breathing loud and heavy, but the sudden physical confrontation seemed to briefly stall the violent fog in his mind.
"Get the fuck out of my house right now and never come back!" yelled Mrs. Gable, pointing a trembling, furious finger toward the shattered front entrance. "Stay away from my daughter! Stay away from both of us! I never want to see your goddamn face ever again!!!"
