Chapter 49: Let’s Do It

Minutes ago, a moan escaped Lynsandra as she stirred slightly. Her body felt sore, as if she’d been beaten all night, and her head throbbed dully. When she shifted, she realized her feet were trapped against something firm and warm.

Slowly, her eyes cracked open, her long lashes fluttering.

With the morning glow filtering through the window and directly onto her face, she squinted one eye shut. The other was blocked by... a man’s chest.

"Hmm?" Her brows furrowed as she stared at the firm chest before her.

Her body stiffened slightly as she lifted her gaze and caught a familiar face sleeping right beside her. When she moved just a little, she felt his arm resting over her bare waist, his fingertip brushing lightly against her back. Their feet were tangled beneath the blanket, their bodies close enough for her to feel his morning wood.

When she peeked down, all she saw was the top of her breast and then the blanket that was covering their bodies.

Lynsandra deadpanned. Her first instinct was to send him flying.

But instead of kicking him straight out the window, she stayed still. She shifted her gaze back to Elias’s sleeping face, letting her eyes linger on his Adam’s apple, then his shoulder.

There, he had a large bite mark.

It was healing, but slowly. If she had done it, that explained why. As a cursed being, it didn’t just slow her own healing abilities, but it affected others as well. There were downsides, but also good sides, since it was effective in battle and torture.

Her eyes traveled down his chest, catching sight of several scars. For a werewolf to scar, it meant the wound had either been deep... or emotional.

This is a long one, she thought. Did someone slash him with a sword?

Curious, she raised her hand and tried to reach the scar across his chest. But just before her fingertips could touch it, Elias rolled onto his back.

"...," she pressed her lips into a thin line, her legs now free, but... "it’s comfortable."

Whether she liked it or not, that was the truth.

The bed felt warmer. Softer. In fact, it made her want to indulge in a lazy morning — something she rarely allowed herself. So, for once, she let herself enjoy it and continued studying Elias.

Not because she was enthralled by him, but because she didn’t know what else to do yet.

How did I end up with him last night? She wondered. If my memory serves me right, last night I was...

Last night, she had taken Minnie to a nightclub.

She hadn’t chosen a high-end bar where elites party. She had just appeared publicly at the Clark Consortium event, and the chances of being recognized were high — especially since people had been sending gifts to the Royal Pack, believing she lived there.

No one knew the harem was set elsewhere.

So she took Minnie somewhere casual. A place frequented by many, but not by elites.

And then...

Her thoughts trailed off as memories surfaced of her having fun with Minnie, drinking, laughing. After that, everything became vague, blurry. She remembered a group harassing a table, and then someone speaking to her.

Everything after that was blank.

Was he there last night? She wondered, refocusing on Elias. Did he help me?

He slept soundlessly, and bathed in the morning light, his naturally sharp features softened. His jaw was well-defined, his cheeks naturally contoured. He looked every bit the Alpha of the North.

She found herself staring at him until his brows knitted.

A second later, he cracked one eye open. Even in that brief moment, the usual irritation he carried flickered through his gaze.

Elias rolled onto his side to face her, clearly intending to go back to sleep until he fully registered her presence.

His eyes widened instantly.

She adjusted slightly, resting her head more comfortably on his arm.

"Did we..." she trailed off, watching his reaction. "...do it last night?"

Elias didn’t answer right away. He simply stared at her, briefly wondering how she had escaped her blanket prison. Then he remembered how she’d sprawled out before he wrapped her like fast food.

Refocusing on her, his lips curved into a teasing smile as he leaned closer.

"You don’t remember?" he said lightly, pointing at his shoulder with his thumb. "It was wild. We can reenact it if you’d like."

Lynsandra arched a brow, then smiled. It wasn’t the reaction he expected.

Elias drew back slightly, confused. "Why are you smiling?"

She shrugged. "You might want to take a leak," she said casually. "It’s poking me."

The moment she said it, he realized his morning wood was pressed against something very soft.

He froze as a dozen scenarios flashed through his mind, all ending the same way — orgasm.

"Fuck." He closed his eyes and exhaled, then opened them again lazily to look at her. "Let’s do it."

She snorted and finally moved away, pulling the blanket with her. "Thanks for taking me back," she hummed, stretching lazily. "I don’t know how I ended up in your bed, but I slept really well."

"Tch." Elias clicked his tongue. "You have no idea how much stress you put me through last night—seriously."

Unbothered by his lack of modesty, he dragged himself out of bed and walked away without hiding his pride down there. He paused and glanced back, checking her reaction.

She didn’t look, not even once.

He hissed and stormed toward the bathroom. Just before he entered, Lynsandra called out.

Turning, he saw her leaning against the headboard, blanket pulled up to her chest.

"Elias," she smiled. "If you’d asked me last night... I would’ve said yes. And I wouldn’t have regretted it."

Whatever reaction he had left died instantly. He scoffed sharply and shut himself inside the bathroom.

"Fuck! Fuck—fuck!!"

Lynsandra chuckled softly at the muffled curses echoing from inside, shaking her head.

[He’s a good man.]

She smiled faintly as she glanced at the bathroom door, then toward the window.

"I know," she whispered. "That’s why he’s not the Alpha of the North... and why I woke up in his bed."
