Chapter 1726: Chapter 1726: Maybe There’s Still Hope

Ever since she could see flowers, Little Taotie would browse some flower catalogs, wanting to learn about more flowers. However, she still couldn’t recognize many rare ones, like the Tyrant Flower on the Queen Flower Lady’s head, but she’d already memorized its appearance, planning to look it up when she had time.

Little Taotie realized this big brother also seemed to like her and blinked her eyes, thinking he might not be a bad person after all.

If he were a bad guy, a real sugarcane man, he’d definitely have mushrooms growing on his head.

Little Taotie tried to chat with this big brother to ask why he had argued with the Queen Flower Lady.

The Queen Flower Lady saw Little Taotie trying to move closer to the man and immediately pulled her over, whispering in her ear, "Don’t mind him, he’s no good!"

The Queen Flower Lady naturally knew her ex was a fan of Little Taotie. After all, he was the one who started being a fan, and she only became crazy about Little Taotie because of his recommendation.

She was a bit worried Little Taotie might get swayed by him, but she, for one, was done believing anything that man said!

Getting together with her best friend was just shameless, waiting for divine retribution!

Cursing in her heart, but the Queen Flower Lady didn’t show it on her face, afraid of scaring Little Taotie with her darker side.

Lou Lan returned after washing the little pink shovel, with an extra pink towel in her hand.

She handed the shovel and towel to Little Taotie, "If it gets dirty, just wipe it clean with the towel before putting it back in the bag."

Little Taotie accepted it, nodding obediently, "Thank you, teacher!"

The elder snapped back from his reminiscence about the Broken Bowl, his gaze falling on the wooden box as he asked, "What’s in the box?"

Lou Lan: "I don’t know. We didn’t open it recklessly for fear of something like poison gas. It needs to be scanned first."

"It’s best to be cautious. Where was it found?"

"Found along with the Broken Bowl, both were dug up by Little Taotie."

"Were they all found at the Ancient Tower’s location?"

"Yes."

"You speculate there’s a seal and a passage around the Ancient Tower?"

"Yes."

The elder looked at the Broken Bowl, "If Shen Cang didn’t discard it back then and always kept it with him, then the place you excavated might very well be the passage; otherwise, there’s no explanation for why it appeared at the Ancient Tower."

Lou Lan pondered aloud, "Could it be he buried it?"

"Possibly," the elder set down the bowl, "Take me to see the place."

"It’s almost dark." Lou Lan glanced at the sky, "How about tomorrow morning?"

The elder shook his head, "If he’s really there, finding him sooner might..."

He didn’t finish, but everyone fell silent.

Shen Cang had been missing for days, and honestly, most people no longer held much hope.

What the elder left unsaid was likely "maybe... there’s still a chance."

But is there really still a chance?

Nobody knew the answer.

Lou Lan sighed slightly, "Alright, let’s go then."

Lou Lan led the way, the elder following her, while others wanted to catch up. The elder casually chose a few people, which included the Queen Flower Lady and her ex.

Little Taotie jumped in place, raising her small hand, "Me, and me too!"

The elder hadn’t originally included her.

Little Taotie jumped energetically, trying to catch his attention, "And me!"

The elder saw how high she was jumping, reached out to press her little head, and set her back on the ground.

Little Taotie tried to jump higher again but was held down by her head, unable to leap up.

Little Taotie: "..."

She looked at the elder in confusion, her small innocent voice, "...What about me!"

The elder’s mouth curled slightly, "I wasn’t going to bring you, but since you’re so eager to go, then let’s go."
