Chapter 1155: Chapter 1155: Pursuing Perfection

Until Jiang Pan Die limped and staggered out a short distance, Yu Qianming finally shouted with reluctance, "Stop!"

The sluice gates closed, and the heavy rain ceased.

Lin Tian looked at Jiang Pan Die’s disheveled appearance, feeling rather distressed. As he pondered whether to go up and support her, Tong had already led a group of people up to help her.

In Lin Tian’s eyes, Jiang Pan Die is a good friend. But in the eyes of Tong and others, she’s someone to be treated like a little ancestor, so how can their efficiency not be high?

"Feeling sorry?" Bai Shishi softly asked.

"A bit, but isn’t this the effect we’re aiming for?" Lin Tian replied with a smile.

"Smooth talker." Bai Shishi snorted lightly. This guy shifts his sympathy to work, so how could she be jealous?

At this moment, Jiang Pan Die slowly walked over, surrounded by people showering her with attention.

Yu Qianming excitedly stood up from his chair and walked over to Jiang Pan Die, saying with an exuberant expression, "Pan Die, you did great. It’s a wrap!"

"Really? That’s wonderful." Jiang Pan Die also smiled with squinted eyes. If it’s a wrap, she doesn’t have to endure the rain or wade through water again; who wouldn’t be happy?

"Especially your fall, it looked so real, it even made me feel sorry to watch." Yu Qianming praised generously, with a thumbs-up.

Jiang Pan Die showed a bitter smile, "Director, I actually twisted my ankle... wearing high heels, the road was slippery."

"Uh..." Yu Qianming’s expression turned slightly awkward but quickly became concerned, asking, "Is your foot okay now?"

"Thank you. It just hurts a bit. I’ll apply something when I get home at night and it will be fine. We still have two scenes left, let’s hurry and shoot them." Jiang Pan Die said with a smile, approachable like a sister next door.

Yu Qianming thought for a moment and said, "There’s a scene later where you fall down the stairs. How about using a stunt double?"

Stunt doubles often appear in movies for various dangerous and challenging actions to protect the artist. If an artist gets hurt, it becomes a big issue.

Unexpectedly, Jiang Pan Die shook her head and said, "It’s okay, I can do what a stunt double can. Besides, when it comes to using White Lotus Muscle Powder later, we have to deal with real wounds; we can’t deceive the audience with fake injuries, can we? We must show them the most authentic effect of the product."

This is actually being responsible for herself, after all, it’s the product Jiang Pan Die endorses. If the effect shown in the ad differs from reality, her reputation will surely decline significantly.

"This..." Yu Qianming was a bit troubled, so he asked again, "It’s quite dangerous; are you sure?"

Jiang Pan Die nodded vigorously, "I’m sure. Wearing some protective gear at that time should be okay."

"Okay then." Yu Qianming nodded, once again refreshing his perception of Jiang Pan Die; no wonder this girl has become famous throughout Great South City in just a few years.

The surrounding staff had already come over with dry coats and towels during the conversation, taking meticulous care of her.

"All departments prepare, change scenes!" Yu Qianming shouted with his white megaphone again.

The few of them got back into the RV, and Lin Tian glanced at Jiang Pan Die’s ankle, saying softly, "Lift your foot and let me take a look."

"Ah?" Jiang Pan Die was stunned for a moment, then realized this guy is a renowned ancient physician across Celestial Dragon Continent.

"It’s not necessary, right?" Jiang Pan Die shook her head, "There are still one or two scenes ahead, it looks more realistic when filmed like this."

Bai Shishi said, "Are you out of your mind? Your foot is already so swollen; if you don’t take some action, you won’t be able to walk, let alone shoot scenes."

"It shouldn’t... be that bad, right?"

"You can’t rely on luck with such matters." Bai Shishi tugged Lin Tian and said, "Quickly, help her take a look, and be careful."

"..."

Lin Tian let Jiang Pan Die put her foot on the chair, lifted the pant leg for a look — it was already a large red patch, and even a bit swollen.

"This is quite serious; why didn’t you say something sooner?" Lin Tian said with some blame, "If it stays like this, it will get worse and worse."

Jiang Pan Die lowered her head like a child who had done something wrong.

"Where else did you hit?" Lin Tian asked.

"Um..." Jiang Pan Die opened her left palm, "Just some scratches, it’s nothing really, you see, the wounds have scabbed."

The palm had two long scratches, skin broken but fortunately not deep.

"Didn’t fall anywhere else?" Lin Tian asked.

Jiang Pan Die shook her head, "No more."

"Okay then, bear with it." As Lin Tian spoke, he placed his hand on her injured ankle, gently massaging it. Spiritual Qi continuously flowed through her pores into the skin.

Jiang Pan Die widened her eyes in surprise; she had prepared herself but didn’t feel any pain, instead feeling cool and comfortable.

The swollen part seemed like snow meeting sunlight, quickly melting away.

"Now move your ankle a bit, see how it feels." Lin Tian said.

"Okay."

Jiang Pan Die stood up and walked back and forth a couple of times, exclaiming in surprise, "Wow, it really doesn’t hurt now! Lin Tian, how did you do it? Is it really just rubbing a few times when sprained and it’s okay?"

Not only Jiang Pan Die, but Yu Qianming and Tong were equally amazed.

"It’s not that simple," Lin Tian said, "This is ancient medicine, being familiar with the body’s meridians and causes of ailments. For instance, though your sprained foot looks simple, there are many intricacies beneath. No wonder so many people study ancient medicine, only to remain at a superficial level. Indeed, sometimes the difference between talent and mediocrity is just so narrow."

Jiang Pan Die and the others nodded in seeming understanding, accepting Lin Tian’s explanation.

Bai Shishi, however, thought differently. Knowing Lin Tian too well, she realized he gets vague when discussing topics he doesn’t want to delve into. If he really intended to explain, everyone would understand clearly.

"Mr. Yu, once filmed, how long will it take to edit?" Lin Tian asked.

"About three to four days, then I’ll send the finished product to your inbox for review." Yu Qianming replied.

"Thanks," Lin Tian nodded to him, then added, "Actually, I have another idea. I’d like to add some background music to the video, to enhance immersion."

"Background music?" Yu Qianming paused, then slapped his thigh and said, "I think that’s a great idea. Appropriate background music can enhance the atmosphere and increase audience immersion. In your opinion, what background music should we use? I’ll handle the copyright negotiations."

Lin Tian smiled and shook his head, "I want a unique piece of background music, just instrumental."

Pure music means without vocals.

Yu Qianming thought for a moment and said, "This requires finding a music teacher to compose."

"It’s no problem, money is not an issue, I just want a perfect piece," Lin Tian said.

Yu Qianming also laughed, "Mr. Lin, we’re truly kindred spirits, I want a perfect work too."
