Chapter 50: Chapter 50: A Little Trouble

The Martial Tower, one of the three floors of the Lake Tower, was also its most eye-catching area. Martial Arts flourished in the Azure Sky Realm, and cultivating them was a matter of honor. Since most Martial Artists were competitive by nature, the Martial Tower had been established for this very purpose.

At that moment, on the Martial Arts Arena within the Martial Tower.

"Haha, Li He, you haven’t improved at all." On the arena, a well-built young man, bare to the waist, held a fiery red war saber. With his black hair draped over his shoulders, he grinned broadly, his arrogance on full display.

Across from him, a pale-faced young man with burn marks on his body was crouched on one knee. Staring at the formidable opponent who had defeated him, Li He gritted his teeth and snorted coldly. "Congratulations, Brother Wang, your Blazing Flame Saber technique has reached a new level. I trust you’ll use it to shine at the upcoming Martial Tower Banquet. My congratulations in advance."

"But of course." The well-built youth laughed, planting his fiery red war saber on the floor. He looked out at the young elites in the crowd and said, "Haha, is there anyone else who would like to request my instruction?"

"It’s been over half a month, and Wang Yan’s strength has already improved this much. Even Li He, who’s in the Spiritual Element Realm, couldn’t last fifty moves against him. What a monster."

"The Blazing Flame Saber is one of the Wang Family’s Secret Techniques, an Earth-Tier Low Class art. Combined with that Fourth-Grade Profound Soldier, the Blazing Flame Battle Saber, in his hands, his strength is probably on par with the very top students at Mingxin Academy."

"That guy is terrifying."

Every word of the crowd’s whispers reached Wang Yan’s ears. He was naturally arrogant, and hearing such praise made him laugh even more freely. "Haha, you flatter me."

Wang Yan retrieved a red robe from his Storage Ring and draped it over his shoulders. He then returned to his seat above the Martial Tower’s arena. As he passed, many cast reverent gazes his way, making him even more pleased with himself.

On the Martial Arts Arena, another two young Martial Artists went up to spar. Wang Yan watched with little interest. In his eyes, aside from the handful of top-level geniuses in the Imperial Capital who could match him, everyone else was just small fry.

Suddenly, his gaze fell on a young man drinking not far away. He smiled and said, "Brother Xiao, why are you just sitting here drinking? Aren’t you going to go up and show us your moves?"

"After your brilliant performance, Brother Wang, I wouldn’t dare go up and embarrass myself with my meager skills," Xiao Yi said with a laugh, setting down his cup.

"Hah, you jest, Brother Xiao. You’re one of the standouts of the Xiao Family’s younger generation. If your skills are meager, what does that make the rest of us?" A glint of amusement flashed in Wang Yan’s eyes. Although Xiao Yi was from one of the Four Great Noble Families, he wasn’t particularly outstanding. His current Cultivation was only at the Spiritual Element Second Grade, a far cry from his own.

"You praise me too much, Brother Wang," Xiao Yi replied with a faint smile.

The two chatted idly for a moment. Suddenly, Xiao Yi’s eyebrows raised, and a hint of a smile touched the corners of his eyes. "Brother Wang, look over there. Isn’t that your brother? It looks like he’s run into some trouble."

Startled, Wang Yan turned his head. He saw a person with disheveled hair, soaking wet as if just fished out of the water, walk into the Martial Tower. Upon seeing Wang Yan, the person immediately headed toward him.

"What is the meaning of this!" Wang Yan gritted his teeth, his eyes flashing with a cold, sinister light. That person was indeed his younger brother, Wang Zilu.

’This brother of mine might be a good-for-nothing with mediocre Cultivation, but he’s still my brother. For him to end up in such a state... this is a matter of my own face.’

"Who is that? How rude."

"Heh, don’t tell me he swam here."

"He looks so familiar... Huh? Isn’t that... Second Young Master Wang? How did he end up in such a sorry state?"

The crowd’s words were even more jarring to Wang Yan’s ears. With a loud SLAP, Wang Yan smacked his brother across the face. Wang Zilu, who had just reached him and was about to complain tearfully, was stunned.

Staring at the grim-faced Wang Yan, the burning sting on his cheek only deepened Wang Zilu’s hatred for Qin Ya.

"Speak! What the hell happened?!"

Wang Yan’s expression was dark, like a dormant volcano. Though it hadn’t erupted yet, anyone could tell he was extremely dangerous at that moment.

Wang Zilu snapped out of it and said, "Brother, I was just eating at the restaurant when I ran into this kid. He’s the one who hit me and threw me into the lake! He even bad-mouthed our Wang Family and called me an idiot."

"A kid?! How old!"

"He looked about fifteen or sixteen."

Hearing this, Wang Yan almost slapped him again. "A fifteen-year-old kid beat you into this state, and you have the nerve to say it out loud? What about your guards? Are they all just freeloaders?"

"Brother, the kid may be young, but he’s strong! My guards were no match for him. Brother, you have to get justice for me! You have to help me get my revenge!"

"Hmph. Who was he with?" Wang Yan asked coldly.

"He was just with two women."

Wang Yan gave his brother a long, hard look. Knowing his character all too well, he said in a low voice, "And I suppose they were two beautiful women, weren’t they?"

"B-Brother, your insight is sharp," Wang Zilu said with an awkward laugh.

’Useless trash.’ Despite his frustration at his brother’s lack of promise, he was still his brother. Wang Yan said, "Take me to him. I want to see for myself who dares to humiliate a member of the Wang Family like this."

Wang Zilu was overjoyed at his words. He quickly led his older brother toward the restaurant, ready to wash away his humiliation.

Off to the side, Xiao Yi smiled faintly. ’Looks like there’s a good show to watch.’

Seeing this, the other Martial Artists also followed along. They were incredibly curious about a young man who would dare to thrash the Second Young Master of the Wang Family.

"I’m so full." Leng Ningshuang patted her slightly bulging tummy with a look of complete satisfaction. It had to be said, the Lake Tower truly lived up to its name as one of the four famous towers in the Imperial Capital. While the quality of the ingredients couldn’t compare to the Mountain Delicacies Tower in Mingxin Academy, the flavor was a cut above.

"Hehe, you little glutton," Qin Yuxiang said affectionately, gently tapping Leng Ningshuang’s nose.

Just as the three of them were about to leave, the diners in the restaurant all suddenly looked out the window, their faces filled with shock.

"What is that? A fireball?"

"No, it looks like a person. What a powerful aura."

"It’s the Wang Family’s Eldest Young Master, Wang Yan! What’s he doing here? Uh, could it be..."

Everyone couldn’t help but look toward Qin Ya’s group of three. Hadn’t this young man just thrown Wang Zilu into the lake?

Qin Ya smiled calmly. "Looks like we have a little trouble."

Outside the window, a figure strode across the green water as if walking on air. His True Essence roiled around him, transforming into scorching flames. From a distance, he looked like a ball of fire. This person was none other than Wang Yan.

He stepped into the restaurant. His gaze, as hot and terrifying as a flame, swept across the room before locking onto Qin Ya. A powerful aura, carrying intense heat, suddenly pressed down on the young man.

"You’re the one who threw my brother into the lake."
