Chapter 49: Chapter 49: Thrown into the Lake to Feed the Fish

"I told you to get lost!"

The young man’s face flushed red with shame and anger. "Bastard, do you have any idea who I am? I’m Wang Zilu, the second young master of the Wang Family."

"What’s that got to do with me?" Qin Ya said coldly. With his status as an Advanced Academy Teacher at Mingxin Academy, there were few families in the Imperial Capital he couldn’t afford to offend, aside from the Four Great Noble Families.

"Fine. Fine. Such an ignorant brat."

Wang Zilu waved his hand, and several hulking men stepped forward. They were all tall and powerfully built, their faces covered in menacing flesh. Their cultivation was at the Profound Origin Realm, and they exuded a ferocious aura, like Fierce Beasts.

"To dare anger the Young Master... you must have a death wish."

"Heh heh, be careful where you swing. Don’t hurt the ladies, or the Young Master will be upset."

The men cracked their knuckles, looking at Qin Ya like a fish on a chopping block, ready to be carved up.

"Get him." One of the brutes attacked first. His palm, as large as a cattail fan, whistled through the air as he swung it violently at Qin Ya. If that slap landed on an ordinary person, they would be maimed, if not killed.

’You made the first move, so don’t blame me for what happens next.’ Qin Ya would naturally show no mercy to such people. With a cold smile and a fierce glint in his eyes, he raised his deceptively slender arm and precisely caught the brute’s hand. Then, he viciously kicked out with his right foot.

The brute let out a pained howl and was sent flying backward, soaring right out the Restaurant window. SPLASH! He landed in the lake below. Seeing this, the other brutes froze for a second before letting out guttural cries and charging.

"Go feed the fish in the lake, all of you."

Qin Ya sneered. A few small-fry in the Profound Origin Realm were no different from ants to him, his to crush as he pleased—even if he was in the Profound Origin Realm himself.

But even within the same Realm, the difference in combat power could be night and day. Qin Ya possessed the Leakless Body, cultivated the Nine Heavens Shocking God Record, and had comprehended the Wind’s Great Trend through his practice of the Solitary Yang Spear Technique. Each of these feats made him far stronger than anyone else in his Realm.

The brutes’ attacks were relentless. Their fists and feet flew like the wind, powerful enough to split mountains and shatter stone, but Qin Ya’s footwork was exquisite and unpredictable. No matter how they attacked, they couldn’t even touch the hem of his robes.

In contrast, Qin Ya’s movements were light and casual. His palms and fists, which seemed too weak to withstand a gust of wind, made their True Essence Body Protection Shields seem like paper, tearing with a single touch. A continuous Palm Power, like rolling ocean waves, then swept through their internal organs, making their Qi and Blood roil and sending them flying.

SPLASH! SPLASH! The sounds of bodies hitting the water echoed. Among the diners were many Martial Artists, and their eyes lit up with amazement as they watched.

"What a profound Body Technique. His movements seem random, but they possess an ethereal, carefree grace."

"And his Palm Power is extraordinary. Each strike looks plain and simple, yet it lands like overlapping waves. That must be some kind of Martial Skill. The level of control over one’s True Essence to do that must be incredible."

"Which power nurtured such a Disciple?"

SPLASH. After tossing the last man into the lake, Qin Ya casually dusted off his hands as if he had done nothing more significant than shooing away a fly. He then turned to Wang Zilu, whose face was now dark as a thundercloud. "So, are you going to get lost, or would you rather go for a swim?"

"May I ask your name, so I know to whom I’ve lost today?" Wang Zilu asked, his tone laced with apprehension. Those guards were his hand-picked elites, all Third or Fourth Grade Profound Origin cultivators, no weaker than the finest soldiers of the Red Flame Army.

’To think they were so easily defeated by this fragile-looking youth...’ Yet, there was little fear in his heart. He was, after all, the second young master of the Wang Family.

The Wang Family’s power in the Imperial Capital was not insignificant. Even when encountering members of the Four Great Noble Families, they were not a match, but as long as he didn’t cross the line too badly, he could always find a way to extricate himself.

"Qin Ya."

Wang Zilu’s eyes lit up. ’His surname is Qin?’

He thought for a moment. There were no powerful families with the surname Qin in the Imperial Capital. At this realization, a cold smile touched his lips. ’A nameless junior dares to disrespect me, Wang Zilu?’

"Listen closely. While my Wang Family may not compare to the Four Great Noble Families in the Imperial Capital, we are still a First-Class Noble Family. If you give me a sincere apology and hand over those two beauties, I’ll let you live."

"Idiot."

"Wh-what did you say?"

Qin Ya couldn’t be bothered to waste any more words on Wang Zilu. Executing Carefree Travel, he instantly appeared by his side. As Wang Zilu stared in shock, Qin Ya grabbed his shoulder with one hand. He tried to resist, but his cultivation was barely any higher than that of his guards.

Compared to Qin Ya, he was like a helpless chick before a falcon.

SPLASH! Wang Zilu followed his guards into the lake. The guards, who had already scrambled onto a nearby walkway, saw their young master fall in and frantically pulled him out. "Young Master, Young Master, are you alright?"

"Get lost, you useless trash!"

Furious, Wang Zilu kicked one of the guards back into the lake. The others instantly fell silent, not daring to make a sound.

"Qin Ya, I will not let you get away with this!" Wet hair plastered most of Wang Zilu’s face, revealing only two sinister, venomous eyes, making him look like a monstrous water spirit crawling out from the depths.

"Young Master, that youth’s cultivation is impressive."

"So what? Do you think the Wang Family is so easily bullied?" Wang Zilu thought for a moment. "Come on. We’re going to the Martial Tower to find my older brother."

"The Eldest Young Master! That’s right! If the Eldest Young Master makes a move, it’ll be fine. He’s a Martial Artist in the Spiritual Element Realm!"

"That’s right! The Eldest Young Master is a peerless genius! He’ll definitely be able to beat that arrogant brat and get revenge for you, Second Young Master!"

Wang Zilu stared at the Restaurant, a vicious light flashing in his eyes.

Upstairs in the Restaurant, having dealt with the trouble, Qin Ya calmly sipped his wine. The other diners who had been eyeing the two beautiful women saw what happened to Wang Zilu, took stock of their own abilities, and didn’t dare to make a move. They stared at Qin Ya, desperately trying to recall who he might be.

"Brother Qin, you were so cool!"

Leng Ningshuang gazed at Qin Ya with adoration. "With just a few quick moves, you tossed that fop and his cronies right into the lake."

"Xiaoya, won’t this cause trouble?" In contrast to Leng Ningshuang’s excitement, Qin Yuxiang was clearly worried.

"Don’t worry, Sister Yuu Xiang. Even if it causes a huge mess, my grandpa can handle it," Leng Ningshuang chuckled. She wasn’t old, but in recent years, Huaa Que had taken her all over the land in search of a cure for her Profound Yin Bloodline. As a result, her worldly experience was arguably even greater than Qin Yuxiang’s.

She knew exactly what an Extraordinary expert—the Mansion Master of Mingxin Academy—represented in the Yunxiao Empire. Qin Ya had only beaten up some rich kid; even if he had torn down the gates of the Imperial Palace, he would be fine as long as Huaa Que had his back.

Qin Ya looked at Leng Ningshuang, who was so readily throwing her grandfather under the bus, and was left speechless. "Ningshuang, if your grandfather knew you thought that way, he’d probably get so angry he’d dismantle me."

"Heh heh, Grandpa would never have the heart to dismantle you."
