Chapter 834: Intentional Or Unintentional In-fighting.

Each of them wanted to be the first to reach him, so they used their full power to run over. But they didn’t stop here.

They also began subtly hindering each other on their way to the dragon. Crane Master was the first one to do this. He made his crane create a wall of wind to slow down the other two.

The yellow crane flapped its wings and created pillars of wind beneath its wings. The pillars of wind were short-lived, but in the brief moment they existed, they solidified the wind into a wall that became an obstacle to the wood giant and the five wolves.

Monarch Wood Tyrant responded by swatting the yellow crane with the branches of the tree giants. He also didn’t forget to trip up the wolves with the roots of the tree giants.

These two had interfered with the others in an unintentional manner. It was normal for the yellow crane to rile up the wind when it moved, so it couldn’t be proven that it was intentionally creating obstacles for the others.

As for the tree giant, its movement was clumsy at best. Its branches and roots are always swinging about when it moves. So the fact that its branches and roots hit the people near it is most likely a mistake. At least, this is what Monarch Tree Tyrant will claim.

The two of them can do these despicable things while claiming to be innocent because what they did wasn’t obvious. But Monarch Wolf Emperor didn’t have the luxury of feigning innocence because it didn’t have any method that would appear to be an accident.

He didn’t have anything to use to pretend, but he also wasn’t willing to let the two of them get away with bullying him just like that. So instead of racking his brain with coming up with a way to pretend, he decided to attack the other two outright.

Monarch Wolf Emperor ordered his wolves to howl at the other two. As the five wolves howled, their howls turned into sound waves that smashed into the yellow crane and wood giant with enough force to shatter mountains.

The attacks of the wolves caused the other two to stagger. The attacks weren’t actually full-powered attacks aimed to kill, so the yellow crane and the wood giant were only slightly injured. But this was still enough to count as crossing the line for them.

Monarch Crane Master looked down from the top of the yellow crane at the Wolf Emperor and said with anger, "What is wrong with you? Why would you attack your allies?"

Monarch Wood Tyrant also said, "Have you gone mad? We haven’t even captured the dragon yet, but you’re already turning against us."

But Monarch Wolf Emperor was too lazy to pretend with them. Instead of apologizing or feigning ignorance, he scoffed at them and said with disdain, "You know what you did. If you can’t take it, then don’t dish it out."

Of course, the two of them knew this. The problem was that they had only been playing tricks and being a nuisance earlier. They hadn’t actually attacked him. So they felt cheated that he escalated the matter.

They felt that he had taken advantage of them. Since they were unwilling to let him have his way, they made up their minds to retaliate.

So Monarch Crane Master sneered and said, "Since you’re an expert in taking it, I hope you won’t mind taking this."

As he spoke, he made the crane beneath him create six wind blades with its talons. The six wind blades slashed down and struck the wolves. In return, the wolves howled.

This time, the howl of the wolves was a full attack. So when the shockwaves smashed into the yellow crane and the wood giant, their bodies actually cracked open like glass fracturing under high-frequency sound.

Monarch Wood Tyrant refused to let this behavior stand, so he let the roots of the wood giant extend and ensnare the wolves. Because of this, some wind blades from the yellow crane also struck the tree roots when they attacked the wolves.

The injury caused by the wind blades injured the wood giant, so the wood giant retaliated by whipping the yellow crane with one of its branches. The branch peeled a layer of feathers and flesh from the yellow crane until its raw flesh was exposed to the air.

As bad as the injury was, the attack was actually unintentional. Monarch Wood Tyrant hadn’t actually ordered his enslaved wood giant to make the attack. The wood giant had done so as an instinctive reaction to being harmed.

But there was no way to explain that the attack was intentional, and there was no way that Monarch Crane Master would believe that the attack was intentional. Even if the attack was a mistake, the fact remained that the injury was real. So when the yellow crane created another batch of wind blades, it used them to attack both the wolves and the wood giant.

While the three of them were snapping at each other, they were also rushing over to reach the dragon. After all, the dragon was still the priority.

They hadn’t let their anger blind them to what was most important. At least, not yet.

It could happen that the three of them decided to forget about the dragon and fight each other to the death. As it happened, they also belong to the same pathway, so they can use each other’s Divine Metacs and assimilate each other’s Cave Heaven.

Because of their situation, they can just decide to hunt each other, not the dragon. If the dragon escapes from them, then this is a viable option that they can pursue. They already hate each other, so it should be easy to make the switch to hunting each other.

Unfortunately for them, Loki was unwilling to let things reach this point. He was a greedy person, so all of them were to become his slaves, and he wasn’t willing to share.
