Chapter 204: Moved forward

‎Somewhere unknown, a radiant figure sat completely still under a crushing waterfall. The figure looked completely unaffected by the strength of the crushing waterfall.

‎A stunning woman long with oak brown stood upon the water a few meters away from the waterfall’s landing point, eyes fixed on the figure under the waterfall’s unrelenting pour.

‎The figure’s chest rose slowly, and then fell. A moment, an intense and blinding golden light exploded from the figure’s chest.

‎At that, the woman’s eyes widened. "You’re almost there, now push your aether towards the barrier with everything you have." She hurriedly said.

‎The figure however was oblivious to her words for they were already lost in their own world. The intense golden light though, only grew more intense by the second.

‎Deep inside the figures body, a small shattering sound echoed through his body. With that, it was as if a dam had been released. A flood of power flooded the figures body like never before. The natural blue colour aether flowing throughout the body slowly bled away, giving rise to pure and rich golden aether the colour of the sun.

‎The moment the figure opened his glowing eyes which were more like two swirling sins, a crushing pressure erupted from his center, sweeping everything away including the crushing water falling on him.

‎"I guess congratulations are in order." The stunning woman from before appeared next to him even with the crushing aura radiating from his body. "You have finally reached the Zeta- rank, Alistair."

‎"Thank you, Miss Summers." Alistair smiled so brightly that even instructor Summers was dazed for a short moment.

‎Instructor Summers’s cheeks bled crimson, embarrassed at having being dazed staring at her own student.

‎"Enough with the pleasantries." She said collecting herself. "I’m curious, what new ability did you get, I wonder?"

‎Alistair smiled, summoning his status screen.

‎Status====

‎Name: Alistair Von Drake

Age: 19

‎Status: Second Young master of the Drake ducal house.

‎Rank : Zeta-

‎Strength : Zeta →Zeta+

‎Agility : Zeta- →Zeta

‎Stamina : Zeta →Zeta+

‎Intelligence : Zeta+

‎Aether capacity : Zeta- →Zeta

‎Luck : Alpha-

‎Charm : Alpha

‎Techniques: Aether reinforcement (Grandmaster), Golden Drake spear arts (Perfected), Dragon dash(Perfected), Summers Spear arts(Grandmaster)...

‎Unique physique: Star-core physique (omega rank)

‎–initial ability: Star charged : [You can increase all variable stats by one minor rank.] (Active)

‎-Zeta ability: Light manipulation: [You can form hard light constructs in any form and shape you wish. Each construct is as strong as the amount of aether used to create them. You might obtain a lesser invisibility by shrouding yourself in light, and your ability has a suppressing effect on dark attributes.]

‎Dismissing the screen, Alistair turned to his master with a smile. He stretched out his palm, and a gold light construct in the shape of a cube appeared. A moment later, it turned into a cylinder, then morphed into many other shapes.

‎At the same time, numerous light constructs in shape of all weapons known to man, be it swords, spears, daggers, maces, and the likes all appeared just behind Alistair vibrating subtly under his will.

‎"Hard light constructs." Alistair said proudly. "Not only that, under the right conditions and as long as I stay still, I can keep myself invisible." A light washed over his figure and he vanished from view.

‎"The moment I talk or move however," Alistair raised a hand, and reappeared. "I’d immediately reappear. And my attacks also have a suppressing effect on dark attributes, which means, I have an advantage against the heretics."

‎By the time Alistair finished explaining his new ability, Lizzy was gobsmacked. Her eyes widened in shock, what a terrifying ability. It wasn’t the hard light constructs or the invisibility that shocked her.

‎Instead, it was the suppressing effects on dark attributes that shocked her. That on it’s own was not very powerful, but coupled with Alistair’s insane attack power, heretics of the same level would have no chance against him at all.

‎"Miss Summers, are you okay?" Alistair asked after a while of the stunning instructor being silent.

‎"Ah, yes." She said collecting herself, before her tone turned serious. "Listen to me very carefully, Alistair, you must never tell anyone about the suppressing effect your ability has on dark attributes. You already have enough bounties on your head as it is, you do not want more of that."

‎Listening to her words, Alistair nodded solemnly. He could get where she was coming from. Ever since his potential was announced, assassin’s have always been in his tails, if it weren’t for his family’s strength, he’d have been dead a million times over.

‎"No one will know." He said. It had been three whole months since the tragedy of Offshore city, and Alistair had thrown himself into training ever since that incident.

‎"Okay." Lizzy said, sighing in relief. "Lets leave here before Edmond starts to bother me, he only lent us this realm for two days."

‎"Right." he nodded. "But first, give me a minute to get used to my new strength." Alistair didn’t give his master a moment t to reply before he dispelled the light weapon constructs behind him, before bending his legs.

‎Boom!

‎In the blink of an eye, before the sound of a muffled shockwave even sounded next to Lizzy, Alistair was already in the sky, staring at the waterfall below him, the same one that had been pouring on him.

‎From here he was overlooking almost the entire realm. Alistair instinctively clenched his fist. "So this is what the Zeta rank feels like." He muttered, sensing the sheer amount of force hiding in his body.

‎As gravity began to take effect, Alistair conjured a circular platform of hard light beneath his feet, keeping himself afloat.

‎He closed his eyes for a moment, before another volley of hundreds of hard light weapons appeared behind him. With a wave of his arms the weapons behind him disappeared and shot towards the hill housing the waterfall beneath him.

‎BOOM!

‎The entire hill violently detonated under the rapid assault of the of the hard light weapons.

New light constructs rapidly formed and joined the remaining ones. With another one of his wave, the light weapons shot towards a nearby mountain.

Booom!

With a sound akin to an explosion, the mountain also exploded under the rapid assault of the hard light weapons.

‎After the mountain was destroyed, only less than a quarter of the hard light constructs still remained.

‎Still, Alistair smiled at the result, however, his smile soon faded as the construct beneath his feet began flickering trying to fade away.

‎"It looks like my remaining aether isn’t enough to sustain this construct any longer." He muttered as he willed the construct to rapidly descend. However, just as the construct reached around one hundred meters, it suddenly flickered and dissolved.

‎At this point though, falling from a mere one hundred meters meant nothing to Alistair. He landed on the ground with loud crack, the ground around his landing point cracking in a spiderweb pattern.

‎It had been three whole months since the tragedy of Offshore and every single one of the main cast had thrown themselves into training, each determined to get stronger.

"I’ve definitely moved forward." He smiled.

‎"I think you’ve done enough." Lizzy appeared next to him, surveying the shattered hill. "Edmond is not going to be happy about this."

‎Taking hold of Alistair’s shoulder, they both disappeared from the realm.

‎And everyone had been rapidly getting stronger, all. except for Elsa. Unlike the rest of the main casts whose upper limits were mostly at the Alpha rank, Elsa’s upper limit was merely at the Gamma rank.

‎Even with all the treasures and boosters she had gotten from her family and even Alistair’s, She was still struggling to even break away from the Theta- rank and break into the Theta rank.

‎Meanwhile, Alistair and the others were already at the Theta and Theta+ ranks. Her soul ached to no end. And most of all she feared that Alistair would leave her.

‎She had always noticed the way he sized up Anastasia, Delilah, and even the cold Rose. And Lizzy especially, that bitch of an instructor vexed her more.

‎Did she think Elsa didn’t see the way she looked at Alistair even during class? She never cursed her weakness like now. Elsa had already knew that she couldn’t keep Alistair all to herself, she knew a man like Alistair was bound to have more than one woman and she had long accepted that, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t manipulate him so he loved her the most.

‎The other women could all try but in the end they would lose to her. Just as Elsa was lost in thoughts, she saw a message from Alistair.

‎Alistair: [You’re the first im telling, so reserve a gift for me.]

‎Elsa quickly replied.

‎Elsa: [What is it.]

‎Alistair: [Guess what, I’ve just broken to the Zeta- rank]

‎"..."
