Chapter 105: Delectable
"I was not...’’ Daisy turned her face to the side.
’’You walked right past me without looking at me for even once. You think I believe you?" Ryle laned closer to her and her sweet fragrance wafted over to him, doing things to his body that were beyond his control.
In the past, it did not happen with him this way. No matter how beautiful a woman was, it was just a passing and fleeting moment of interest for him.
He had thought it was just that when he was attracted to Daisy initially. The longer he looked at her, the more beautiful she looked.
"I don’t like perfumes.’’
’’Oh, you are trying to sound disgusted by me now,’’ As she tried to put her hands forward, Ryle grabbed it by it’s wrist and pushed it behind her waist.
"I just don’t like it.’’
’’You don’t like what? Make yourself clear? You don’t like me with other women? The thought of it?"
’’The perfume, is what I meant. I don’t care about your private life.’’
’’Then, why are you not meeting my gaze when you say that?" Ryle looked at the woman who was looking anywhere but him, ’’I never pegged you as a woman who doesn’t dare to look into my eyes when she speaks. Unless you have something to hide.’’
’’I. don’t. care. about. your. private. life.’’ Daisy emphasized each word as she met his gaze.
’’Yet you shiver when I touch you and you eyes close when I lean in. For someone who doesn’t care about my private life, that’s quite a contradiction,’’ Ryle chuckled as he pressed his lips on the side of her neck, feeling her tremble under the touch of her lips. She instinctively gripped his shirt and leaned closer to him and he bit her supple skin, relishing in the peace that it gave to his chaotic heart.
Ryle licked the spot he just bit before biting it again. The marks he had given her the day before were not as apparent but they were there and he covered them with deeper marks this time, imprinting himself on her skin, ’’Are you not anticipating things with me?" Ryle dragged his lips up her neck, placing soft kisses on her skin till he was kissing her chin.
He bit the spot, his thumb stroking her wrist where he held it as he tilted his head and looked at her closed eyes, ’’You are right?"
’’Ryle...’’ Daisy wanted to speak in a reprimanding tone but when his name escaped her mouth, it sounded anything but cold. It was a hint of coquettish, a tone in which she never spoke before.
Ryle paused, pressing another kiss on her chin.
The sound of the glass shattering reverberated in the place as Daisy’s free hand somehow swung and swept the jug off to the floor.
Soon, there were sounds of approaching footsteps.
’’They will see us,’’ Daisy panicked and tried to push the man away.
’’I assure you not,’’ The man freed her hand and turned off the lights inside the kitchen.
The main door opened and the bodyguards rushed just in time as Ryle wrapped his arm around Daisy’s waist and pushed her up to the kitchen counter before he claimed her lips.
Daisy’s legs weakened and all strength seemed to have lost her body. Maybe it was the risk, or the darkness but she could feel him more, every touch, every graze of his fingers on her waist seemed to have heightened her senses.
Daisy’s fingers raked inside his hair as Ryle pulled her bottom lips between his teeth.
’’Ah...’’ A moan was about to slip his mouth when the man enveloped it by claiming her mouth again.
Ryle freed her hand and placed both of his palms on his knees and parted them wide as he entered the spot, standing between her legs all the while he kissed her. He grabbed the back of her knees and tugged her forward till every inch of her softness grazed his body and she felt the heat that was emanating off him... Just because of her.
’’Things you do to me, Daze,’’ he grabbed her hand and whispered, placing her palm on his jaws to let her feel the way his body was heating up in her presence, ’’Things I cannot control,’’ he said huskily before diving into her lips again.
Daisy’s fingers grazed his chin, feeling the slight stubble that had grown. As he intertwined his tongue with hers, she opened her eyes slightly, her eyes were limpid but she could see his faint silhouette in the darkness.
’’So delectable..’’ he murmured, releasing her lips as he pressed a kiss on the corner of her lips before licking the spot.
Daisy could feel a strange sensation between her thighs, where she was bare, without any panties as just his shirt reached her lower thighs. She could feel every time his body rubbed against her wetness, creating friction.
’’Did you check that way?"
’’I have covered the whole house. One bedroom is locked but the other is not. Little Miss Angel is sleeping there.’’
’’Where is Miss Chen then? Where did the sound come from?"
’’Which one of you checked the Kitchen area and the south?"
’’I wasn’t assigned to it.’’
’’You... The intruder better not escape this time because of your carelessness or Boss is going to kill us all.’’
The noise of the guards interrupted Daisy and Ryle.
Displeasured flickered through the man’s hazel eyes.
Unbeknownst to the poor guards, their boss was the intruder and despite whether or not they managed to catch the ’non-existent intruder’, the man was still going to kill them for the intrusion.
’’Ryle... they...’’ Daisy was muddleheaded and her head felt fuzzy. She could not get a grip over her mind or body, ’’They are going to see me. Let me go,’’ she finally started to get conscious as she started tugging her shirt down.
’’Here is the shattered glass... The noise must have come from here.’’
’’You both check in there and we’ll go over the windows and possible exits.’’
The sounds of their footsteps increased.
’’Scram.’’
Ryle’s cold voice had every one of the man stopping in their tracks, a few steps before they could enter the kitchen.
They could not see their Boss but that voice was not unfamiliar to them. They would recognize it in their coldest nightmares.
The men scurried off from the place with their tales tucked in between their legs.
Ryle closed his eyes in utter despair, wondering if he paid these people to make his life easier or complicate it further.
Sensing the movements from the woman, he leaned to the side to turn the lights on but Daisy stopped him before he could do so.
’’No... don’t,’’ he could still see her from the faint lights of chandelier, the rare coy expression on her face, the blush that was deepening on her cheeks with every passing second and those eyes that looked at everywhere but him.
Ryle placed the tip of his index finger under her chin and lifted it up, ’’Look at me.’’
Daisy hesitated for a moment before she gazed at him. It was not like this happened for the first time. She told herself to embolden herself.
Ryle let out a soft sigh as he looked at that beautiful face. Daisy Chen did not even have to blink to qualify as a femme fatale and he could bet that she did not even know it yet.
’’Like hell I would let someone see you like that,’’ he rasped, leaning closer to capture her lips in a softer kiss this time.
Daisy’s eyes instinctively cold as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Those words somehow tickled a tender spot in her heart and she could not help but lean into him, slowly moving her lips and responding to his kiss.
’’God!" Ryle mumbled against her lips, desperate and hoarse. And then the man captured her lips again with a fiery, an almost intense desire.
It was not until she was in a breathless mess did he let go of her lips. Ryle placed his face in the crook of her neck, panting softly, pressing tender kisses on her skin till soft moans spilled from her mouth.
His hand settled on her thighs as he gently flicked with the shirt of his that she had been wearing.
