Chapter 304: Sect Prison!
Since it was obviously her personal secret, neither of them asked any further questions. Instead, the unexpected surprise greatly strengthened their confidence in the upcoming battle.
Shen Kai slowly nodded.
"Very well."
"I’ll secretly gather everyone from my faction whom I can trust. Elders, core disciples, and every reliable cultivator willing to stand against Wu Taeyong."
His expression became solemn.
"If possible, we’ll lure the battle away from the White Moon Sect. The farther it is from the disciples, the better."
Su Mo gave a helpless shrug. "That depends entirely on Wu Taeyong."
"If he insists on fighting inside the sect, we won’t have much choice."
Those words made both Shen Kai and Song Meilin grit their teeth.
After a brief silence, Song Meilin spoke. "Then Shen Xing and I will evacuate as many disciples and ordinary residents as possible before the battle begins."
Shen Xing immediately nodded.
"We’ll try to reduce the casualties as much as we can."

Everyone naturally agreed. The responsibilities gradually became clear.
Finally, Su Mo stood up from the sofa.
"Then it’s settled."
He looked toward Shen Kai first.
"Granduncle will secretly gather our fighting force."
His gaze shifted toward Song Meilin and Shen Xing.
"The two of you will move the disciples and civilians away from the area of the Sect Office where the battle is most likely to happen."
Shen Kai looked toward Su Mo and Yang Qingxi.
"What about you two?"
Su Mo smiled mysteriously.
"Qingxi and I will accompany Grandaunt."
"We still have some...necessary pre-battle preparations to make."
Seeing that smile, Shen Kai instinctively felt that whatever Su Mo was planning probably wasn’t something ordinary. Even so, he chose not to ask any further questions. At this point, everyone had their own responsibilities, and unnecessary curiosity would only waste precious time.
He slowly looked around at everyone in the room before his eyes finally rested on Wu Yuna.
"...Be careful."
Those simple words carried far more emotion than any lengthy farewell.
The next moment, Shen Kai disappeared from the residence to begin gathering his trusted allies.
Watching the now-empty doorway, Shen Xing quietly let out a sigh.
"How...did everything end up like this?"
She lowered her head.
Yang Qingxi gently patted her shoulder, silently offering comfort. Su Mo remained silent for a moment before standing up together with Yang Qingxi and Wu Yuna.
"Let’s go."
Without wasting another moment, the three of them quietly left the residence to carry out their own preparations.
Not long afterwards, Song Meilin and Shen Xing also departed, each carrying the weight of their own responsibility as the White Moon Sect unknowingly drifted closer and closer to the greatest storm in its history.

While the preparations before the inevitable battle quietly unfolded, Wu Chaochang had already sneaked into the sect prison with a completely different objective. His purpose wasn’t to interfere with anyone else’s plans but to rescue the subordinates who had been captured and locked away inside.
The infiltration went much more smoothly than he had expected.
After quietly knocking the prison guards unconscious with sleeping gas, he encountered almost no resistance along the way. Wu Chaochang knew his current strength was nowhere near enough to contend with the sect’s experts, so from the very beginning, he had been careful not to alert anyone or create unnecessary disturbances.
"As expected..." He let out a disdainful snort.
"These dogs are still as careless as ever."
With that, he continued walking deeper into the prison while searching each cell for his imprisoned subordinates. The prisoners inside merely glanced at him at first before lowering their heads again, their expressions carrying the numbness of people who had long since given up hope.
However, after noticing that the young man before them wasn’t wearing a prison guard’s attire and his sneaky actions, their dull eyes gradually brightened.
"Brother, how did you get in here?"
One prisoner hurriedly stepped closer to the iron bars.
"Boy, get me out of here! I’ll give you a powerful treasure!"
Another prisoner immediately shouted before anyone else could.
"Help me escape first. Whatever you want—women, wealth, treasures—I can let you have them all."
Their voices quickly attracted the attention of the surrounding cells.
"Hahaha! You poor wretches are making empty promises." A loud laugh suddenly echoed through the prison. "Brat, don’t listen to their nonsense. They’re all rogue cultivators. What valuable things could they possibly have? I’m a member of the Kirin Hall. As long as you help me get out of here, I can personally recommend you to the Hall Leader."
The noisy prison immediately became much quieter.
Several prisoners glanced toward the speaker with ugly expressions, yet none of them dared to refute his words.
Wu Chaochang, who had remained indifferent to everyone’s shouting until now, finally stopped walking and turned to look at the man.
"Kirin Hall?" He narrowed his eyes slightly.
"Are you serious?"
Seeing that he had finally attracted Wu Chaochang’s attention, the man’s eyes lit up.
"Of course."
He straightened his posture before introducing himself proudly.
"I am Dowblis Snake, the leader of the Fourth Division."
The moment those words left his mouth, several knowledgeable prisoners couldn’t help sucking in cold breaths.
"Dowblis Snake?!"

"Is he really telling the truth?"
"No wonder." One of the prisoners muttered. "I always wondered what kind of madman would cultivate physical arts every single day, even while locked inside a prison cell. So it’s actually Dowblis Snake."
A younger prisoner looked completely confused.
"What’s wrong? Is this guy really that amazing?"
The older prisoner immediately looked at him. "Amazing? He’s much more than that."
"He once fought his way out while surrounded by seven Golden Core cultivators and even managed to kill several of them before escaping."
"Now tell me. Isn’t that impressive?"
The younger prisoner’s eyes widened.
"Damn..."
Then another question naturally surfaced.
"But if he’s really that powerful, how did he get caught by the White Moon Sect? Aren’t the strongest cultivators here only at the Peak Golden Core Stage?" His expression became doubtful.
"Could he be lying?"
