Chapter 292: Hands-Off!
’Am I imprisoned?’
’Damn it... I was too careless.’
He had sensed something was wrong the moment he saw that old man beneath the black tree, yet the difference in strength between them had simply been too overwhelming. Before he could even activate the Escape Talisman, everything had already gone dark.
Suddenly, another thought flashed through his mind.
’Qingxi!’
His heart skipped a beat as he hurriedly turned his head.
Fortunately, Yang Qingxi was chained to the wall right beside him. Like him, she wore the same strange handcuffs, her head hanging slightly as she remained unconscious.
Seeing that she was breathing steadily, Su Mo couldn’t help letting out a long sigh of relief.
’Thank goodness... she’s safe.’
Only after confirming her condition did his tense heart finally settle down.
His expression soon became serious again.
’What exactly happened? Why did that Old Ancestor suddenly attack us? If he wanted us dead, he could’ve killed us with a single move. So why imprison us instead? Where’s Grandma Song?’

His thoughts had barely reached that point when something else caught his attention.
About five meters away, over a dozen Pishachas stood silently outside the prison, their eerie crimson eyes fixed entirely upon the two of them without blinking even once.
"...Seriously?"
Su Mo twitched the corner of his mouth.
’Forget it. First, I’ll wake Qingxi up... then we’ll figure out a way to escape this place.’
He drew in a deep breath before suddenly exerting all his strength, intending to snap the chains and handcuffs restraining him.
However, nothing happened.
"...Huh?" He frowned. "Where’s my spiritual energy?"
Only then did he lower his head and carefully examine the black handcuffs wrapped around his wrists. His expression gradually became serious.
Fortunately, one of his abilities wasn’t affected.
His crimson Devil’s Eyes silently activated.
Scarlet light flickered within his pupils as he focused on the restraints, and after only a brief moment of observation, their secrets were laid bare before him.
"So that’s how it is..."
The corners of Su Mo’s mouth twitched.
These handcuffs weren’t ordinary restraints.
They specifically suppressed a cultivator’s spiritual energy, rendering them unable to circulate cultivation or use spiritual techniques.
Su Mo fell silent.
"..."
Where in the world had that old monster found something this shameless?
Wasn’t this practically every cultivator’s nightmare?
More importantly, this was the first time he had encountered an item capable of completely sealing a cultivator’s spiritual energy. Such a treasure was terrifying enough to make even powerful experts think twice before provoking its owner.
Fortunately, panic wasn’t necessary.
Even without spiritual energy, he still possessed other methods to escape.
His attention briefly drifted toward the strange behavior of the Pishachas.
The entire situation felt increasingly suspicious.
Why had they captured him alive instead of killing him?
Why imprison them beneath such overwhelming yin energy?
What was their purpose?
There were too many unanswered questions.
Still, those mysteries could wait.
Escaping came first.
If that old monster returned before they got out, things would become considerably more troublesome.
Without hesitation, Su Mo lifted his head and looked toward the two Pishachas guarding the prison entrance.
His crimson eyes shimmered faintly.
Illusion.
The invisible spiritual influence silently spread.
The two Grade Two Pishachas possessed little resistance against his mental techniques. Almost immediately, their eyes became dull, and their bodies relaxed as they obediently fell under his control.
Su Mo nodded in satisfaction.
"Bring me the keys."
The two Pishachas looked at one another before simultaneously shaking their heads.
Su Mo immediately understood.
"...You don’t have them?"
A disappointed sigh escaped his lips.
"What a pity."

Thinking about it carefully, though, it made perfect sense.
After all, who would leave the prison keys with the guards standing directly beside the prisoners?
That would practically be inviting captives to escape while thoughtfully lighting the road for them.
"Forget it."
He looked at the two monsters.
"Use your claws to cut these chains and handcuffs."
The Pishachas faithfully obeyed.
Dark energy gathered around their razor-sharp claws before they approached Su Mo. Since he was the one issuing orders, they naturally chose to free him first.
Their aim... couldn’t have been better.
The claws descended with frightening precision.
Unfortunately, the claws themselves were several times larger than the handcuffs.
Slash!
The restraints were severed. So was one of Su Mo’s hands.
"..."
"..."
Su Mo stared blankly at the severed hand lying on the ground.
Then the pain finally reached his brain.
"...Damn it!"
His face instantly twisted.
"It hurts!"
The good news was that the broken restraints immediately released their suppression.
Like a dam collapsing, spiritual energy surged back into his body.
The familiar sensation was almost refreshing.
Before the pain could continue tormenting him for long, his Immortal Body activated on its own.
Rich vitality spread throughout his body.
The flesh wriggled. Bones rapidly extended. Muscles, veins, and skin regenerated at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Within moments, a brand-new hand had completely grown back.
Su Mo flexed his fingers several times before looking toward his original severed hand still lying on the ground.
His expression became rather complicated.
"...What a strange feeling."
Seeing your own detached hand on the floor wasn’t exactly an experience one encountered every day.
Isn’t that right? Du Wuchen: "..."
After thinking for a moment, he waved his newly regenerated hand.
The severed hand, together with the broken handcuffs attached to it, disappeared into his storage ring.
After all, these strange handcuffs were valuable research materials. Throwing them away would be wasteful.
Just then, one of the Pishachas faithfully walked toward Yang Qingxi.
Its dark claws rose high into the air.
Su Mo’s eyelids twitched violently.
"Wait!"
He hurriedly stopped it.
The Pishacha tilted its head in confusion.
Apparently, it intended to free Yang Qingxi using exactly the same method.
Su Mo looked at those oversized claws before imagining Qingxi waking up with one hand short.
"...Let’s not."
He immediately activated the Magnetic Control Technique.
Without needing spiritual force to physically break them, the black restraints trembled before slowly melting into streams of liquid metal.

The chains wrapped around Yang Qingxi loosened one after another before flowing through the air like silver water, eventually gathering into a metallic sphere that floated into Su Mo’s storage ring.
"No unnecessary amputations needed."
He nodded with satisfaction.
"This is much better."
Freed from the restraints, Yang Qingxi’s unconscious body leaned forward.
Su Mo instinctively stepped closer and caught her.
Her body was surprisingly soft. A faint fragrance drifted into his nose.
For a brief second, Su Mo froze.
"..."
Then he immediately shook his head.
"Damn this place."
He looked around at the thick yin energy surrounding the underground prison.
"The extreme yin energy is definitely affecting my thoughts."
The two Pishachas quietly stared at him.
"..."
Although they weren’t human...they felt that this guy was even less human.
He was even shameless enough to blame the environment for his lust.
Unfortunately, without any human rights, the Pishachas could only stand their silently, unable to voice out any opinion. Not that they could speak, eitherway.
Completely ignoring the silent disdain in their eyes, Su Mo lightly patted Yang Qingxi’s shoulder.
"Qingxi, wake up."
A trace of spiritual energy entered her body.
Yang Qingxi’s eyelashes trembled before her beautiful eyes slowly opened.
"...Where..."
She blinked several times in confusion.
"...Where am I?"
Her memories quickly returned.
The confusion instantly disappeared, replaced by blazing anger.
"That old bastard!"
She abruptly sat upright.
"He actually dared to sneak attack us!"
Only then did she notice Su Mo sitting beside her, along with the two Pishachas standing obediently nearby.
She blinked. "Huh?"
Then blinked again.
"...What happened here?"
Her gaze moved between Su Mo and the monsters.
"...And where’s Sister Song?"
"There isn’t time to explain."
Su Mo stood up and stretched his newly regenerated fingers.
"We’ll talk after we escape."
Yang Qingxi immediately understood the urgency of the situation and stopped asking questions.
She nodded without hesitation showing her unconditional trust for him.
Su Mo glanced toward the two Pishachas.
"Lead the way."
The two monsters obediently turned around and began walking deeper into the underground passage.
Without wasting another moment, Su Mo and Yang Qingxi quickly followed behind them, disappearing into the dimly lit corridor as the oppressive yin energy silently surrounded their retreating figures.

---
After narrowly avoiding several patrolling Pishachas and placing a few more under his Illusion to quietly clear their path, Su Mo and Yang Qingxi were steadily making their way out of the underground prison.
According to the Pishacha leading them, the exit was close. Even so, Su Mo never relaxed his vigilance for even a moment.
His senses remained stretched to their limits, constantly watching for any sign that the old ancestor had returned. If that terrifying old monster appeared now, escaping would become far more difficult.
Just then, a violent surge of spiritual energy suddenly erupted somewhere ahead, causing the surrounding air to tremble.
Su Mo’s expression immediately turned serious.
"Qingxi... don’t you think this aura feels very familiar?"
Yang Qingxi’s face instantly darkened as she recognized it as well.
"It’s Sister Song!"
Without another word, she shot forward.
"Quick!"
Su Mo followed close behind as the two rushed toward the source of the violent spiritual fluctuations, their speed increasing to the limit.
