Chapter 942: Chapter 1: Dragon Slayer Warrior
Reya Town is a quiet and peaceful little town.
The town has a total of sixty guards, with over four hundred residents living and working happily here.
A blond man in his early twenties, wearing a standard guard uniform, walked home with a smile on his face. He was handsome, with gentle features and a pair of blue eyes like the azure sea.
People who recognized him greeted him.
"Jesse, are you going home to cook for your sister?"
"Yes." Jesse waved happily and quickened his pace towards home.
There was a little angel waiting for him at home. Every day after his shift, he couldn’t wait to get home to see her.
At this time, Tianmiao, who looked only about six or seven years old, was wearing a dark blue little dress. She sat on what remained of the wall in the yard, reaching out to pluck an apple and gnawing on it, waiting for her "brother" to come home.
Jesse was an orphan and had always lived alone. Then one day, he found a little girl in the forest, sitting all by herself and incredibly cute. With black hair and black eyes, she seemed to be from another race, but he couldn’t tell which. Anything he asked the little girl, she just shook her head, only revealing her name was Tianmiao. He inquired around but couldn’t find her family.
So Jesse brought her back and adopted her.
When Jesse reached the front door, he saw Tianmiao sitting on the wall, her chubby little hands holding a huge apple as she gnawed on it. The apple was almost bigger than her face.
Ah... so cute, I’m dying, dying!
Jesse clutched his chest, feeling like he was going to suffocate.
She was just unbearably cute.
Tianmiao looked up at Jesse: "Jesse, you’re back."
"You should call me brother, call me brother!" Jesse lifted Tianmiao off the wall, "Are you hungry? I’ll make you some food." Oh dear, the little one must be hungry, she’s already started eating an apple. Jesse thought to himself reproachfully.
"I’m not hungry, just eating for fun." Tianmiao pointed to the house, "You don’t need to cook. My little friends have already made the meal."
Jesse couldn’t help but laugh because he thought Tianmiao was joking. Tianmiao had two pets that she referred to as her little friends: a small, silver-white cat (Kong Hou: I protested, I didn’t want to become a cat. But the owner likes fluffy things, what can I do?), and a small, fiery red bird (Dong Xiao: Not bad, still have wings).
Jesse carried Tianmiao into the house. His home was left to him by his parents, with two floors plus a cellar. It wasn’t small, but he kept it clean and tidy.
When Jesse saw the bread, sausages, and a roast rabbit set on the table, he opened his mouth in astonishment. Then, feeling a bit angry, he set Tianmiao in a chair seriously saying, "Tiantian, you’re still young. Cooking can be very dangerous. Wait for me to come home before you cook, okay? And where did that rabbit come from?"
"The rabbit ran into our yard and knocked itself dead under the apple tree." Tianmiao said seriously.
"Huh?" Jesse’s eyes widened even more.
"It’s true." Tianmiao nodded seriously again.
"Alright, alright. Let’s just say that’s what happened. But from now on, you can’t roast meat. It’s too dangerous, understand?" Jesse advised earnestly.
"Got it, then let’s eat." Tianmiao said with a cheerful smile.
