Chapter 210: Extra Story: Eternal Happiness

Five years later.

Yudong City.

"...Three! Two! One! I’m coming to catch you!"

The innocent laughter of young cubs faintly echoed.

Wen Shu, holding Wu Xuan’s arm, had just stepped into the castle when a little black panther with its eyes covered, sensing the scent, leaped straight into her arms.

"Mother, mother!"

The little guy wrinkled his nose, tore off the blindfold, and rubbed his furry head against her affectionately, his childish voice melting Wen Shu’s heart!

She placed the ingredients she was carrying onto the cabinet and lifted the little black panther.

Seeing his eyes that were identical to Wu Xuan’s, those watery golden eyes gazing at her expectantly, she planted a kiss on his cheek.

"Bao Bao, have you been good at home? Did you listen to Uncle?"

Bao Bao is three years old this year, just at the age when beastman cubs love to be mischievous, yet he is incredibly well-behaved and adorable!

The little black panther nodded vigorously, sneaked a glance at Wu Xuan, and burrowed into Wen Shu’s arms to sulk, "Bao Bao is very good, not naughty~"

Seeing his child ignoring him and occupying Wen Shu’s embrace, Wu Xuan slightly curled his lips, raised his hand to caress Bao Bao’s head, accustomed to this behavior.

Bao Bao is indeed well-behaved, and ever since he arrived, the little ones have been clamoring for Ashu to accompany them every day. In recent years, Ashu has spent most of his time by their side.

Hearing their commotion, Xi Xi, who was playing hide and seek with Bao Bao, darted out like the wind. Her snake tail wrapped around the stair handrail as a slide and she slid down with a "swish."

"Mother is back!"

Rah, who was in charge of babysitting this week, quickly chased after her, fearing she might fall.

His feet were still tangled in household knitting yarn, making him stumble with every step.

His curled gray long hair, tied into many braids with pink yarn loops, coupled with his fierce-looking face, made him appear comical yet particularly warm.

He suddenly appeared, seeing Xi Xi jump into Wen Shu’s arms, and he breathed a silent sigh of relief, "Xi Xi, that’s too dangerous..."

Xi Xi, wise beyond her years, heard Rah was about to scold her, turned back to squint and wink at him, and hugged Wen Shu tightly, whispering close to her ear, "Mother, Uncle was thinking about you all day. Will you keep him company tonight?"

Her voice was soft, but the males heard it clearly.

Though looking fierce, Rah was gentle and caring toward the cubs, and besides Wu Xuan and Nan, he was their favorite.

Being a cub enthusiast, Wen Shu, upon hearing Xi Xi’s words, looked up at Rah, and kissed the two cubs before slipping them into Wu Xuan’s arms.

"You take Bao Bao and Xi Xi to rest first."

Wen Shu raised her eyebrow, hinting for Wu Xuan to entertain the cubs. Once they were gone, she whisked Rah into the kitchen to help.

Today is the fifth birthday of these two little ones, and she went out early in the morning to buy ingredients for making a cake.

"Rah, some more flour."

Rah wasn’t used to helping in the kitchen, so he was quite flustered. Wen Shu waited for a while before his strong arm stretched out from beside her, adding too much flour.

She turned to look at him, and seeing his handsome face smeared like a cat with flour, she couldn’t help but chuckle softly, "Come a bit closer."

Their distance wasn’t far, but as Rah saw her eyes crescented, mischief captured his heart as he moved closer, encircling her under his tall frame.

"Like this?"

He intentionally lowered his voice, his deep blue eyes filled with profound emotion.

Wen Shu met his gaze briefly before her cheeks turned warm, her long lashes slightly drooping as she rubbed his cold face with her fingers, "You’ve got flour all over your face..."

They’ve been mated for years, but they weren’t glued to each other all the time. During intimate moments, Wen Shu would still feel shy, as if they had just fallen in love.

Not only she felt this way; the males who often competed for her attention felt it even more strongly.

As her soft hands caressed the side of his face, Rah’s Adam’s apple throbbed, and with half a month without intimacy, her slight teasing made him longing.

Rah watched Wen Shu’s face, holding her hand against his lips, softly kissing her knuckles, "Female..."

The husky voice resonated in her earlobe, her fingers curled up as she attempted to withdraw, lifting her eyes to meet Rah’s assertive gaze before quickly lowering them, reproaching, "Let go, I’m still working here."

Seeing her like this, Rah only tightened his grip, pulling her into his embrace with an ambiguous murmur, "Let go if you let me accompany you tonight."

He was always straightforward, and even if Wen Shu didn’t agree, knowing his personality, he would likely sneak into her room late at night, just to sleep beside her without leaving.

Feeling his hot breath brushing beside her ear, he got closer, his hands starting to misbehave, Wen Shu hurriedly stopped him, stood on tiptoes to kiss his jaw, "Alright, alright."

Having received the answer he wanted, Rah finally ceased his mischief.

Their busy endeavor lasted till afternoon, and as the males returned home one after another, the cake was finally finished!

Wen Shu covered the cake, and Yining and Luo Fei entered the kitchen to prepare dinner. She hugged them both and left the kitchen.

In the courtyard, waiting patiently with a straight back, Xiao Wen Yang with an adorable young face entered the iron gate confidently.

Seeing Wen Shu come out to greet him, his eyes lit up, and his aloof expression flickered with a smile, greeting her maturely, "Mother!"

He lightly touched his right shoulder with his left hand, bowed slightly, and seeing his father hadn’t entered yet, he couldn’t wait to leap into Wen Shu’s arms.

"Mother, Yangyang really missed you~"

Wen Shu, feeling compassionate, embraced Wen Yang, crouching down to caress his face, noting that although he hadn’t lost weight, he looked exhausted.

Though Mious hadn’t mentioned his plans, Wen Shu faintly guessed he intended to hand Nayong City over to Yangyang.

However, Yangyang was still too young, and she had to discuss it with him.

As she was contemplating this, a tall and robust male dressed in a black City Lord’s suit strode in from outside the iron gate.

Once Mious entered the gate, he saw beside the flower bed in the courtyard, Wen Shu tenderly holding Yangyang’s face. The fatigue from the day seemingly eased a bit.

He swiftly approached, and before Wen Shu could speak, he enveloped them both in his embrace, smiling softly, "Ashu, I missed you."

The father and son were in sync, with their first words upon returning home being exactly the same.

Wen Shu embraced Mious back, gently soothing his tense back, and after a long while, gently pushed him away, "Go rest inside for a while."

She held Mious’s hand, leading him indoors while instructing Wen Yang to find the cubs to play with. When he left, she quietly asked Mious if Yangyang could rest at home for a few days.

Mious agreed, but after a few silent steps, he gazed at her with a hint of grievance, about to speak but hesitated.

"What’s wrong?"

Mious stood still, with his emerald eyes flickering, pulled Wen Shu into his embrace, "Ashu, I miss you every day. During this time, I’ve been cultivating Yangyang’s interest, and he now loves managing Beastman City affairs..."

"When he becomes an adult, I plan to hand Beastman City over to him. Can you spend some time alone with me?"

His voice softly echoed with a trembling yet firm note.

Indeed, he was always busy, apart from some significant events. He forcefully pushed away Beastman City affairs to accompany her and solved issues within days without rest, making their time together countable.

Wen Shu wasn’t accustomed to such a life; she missed him too.

"Alright..."

With fingers entwined, they ambled into the castle intimately.

By evening, the meal was ready.

The round dining table was filled with people, and amidst a harmonious atmosphere, with Nan’s help, Wen Shu rolled a two-tiered cake into the dimly lit dining room.

The flickering candlelight illuminated cheeks as she placed the cake between Xi Xi and Yangyang, seeing their eyes shine with excitement, softly said, "Make a wish."

Xi Xi and Yangyang exchanged a glance, their gaze sweeping over the smiling parents around the table, their innocent faces blossoming into big smiles.

"May our fathers and mother always be in love, and our little family always be happy and joyful!"

The end.
