Chapter 56: She’s Coming Back
Arianna blinked at her. "So what if I did, what are you going to do about it?"
Vivian was beyond pissed now. All she wanted to do was walk towards Arianna and pull her hair out of her head, make her bald and ugly as possible.
Unfortunately for her, she couldn’t do that.
All she could do was clench her fist and gnash her teeth which somehow only fueled her rage.
Vivian took a step forward and stood right in front of Arianna, staring at her eye to eye. "Delete that video," she growled.
"I told you, I wasn’t the one who uploaded it. But come on, you should have expected this after everything you’ve done. But it’s completely fine if you weren’t. Maybe from now on, you should watch the way you treat people. You never know who’s out to ruin you."
A single vein popped on Vivian’s head as she’s tried to contain herself from actually losing her mind.
She was certain Arianna was the one who’d uploaded that video. But because she had no evidence, she couldn’t prove it.
Either way, she wasn’t going to let that video stay on the internet for much longer.
"I’ll make you pay for this," Vivian whispered only for Arianna to hear. "You just wait."
Vivian gave Arianna a long condescending glare before she walked around here and headed for the elevator.
Vivian stormed through the hallway before she arrived at Leah’s office where she found the woman typing on her computer. She didn’t even pause to look at her as if she’d been expecting her visit.
"I want you to—"
"I’ve tried but I can’t have that video deleted off the face of the internet," Leah cut her off, still typing without sparing her a look.
Vivian’s eyebrows furrowed deeply. "What’s that supposed to mean? You’re the CEO of Starlife Entertainment. I’m being bullied on the internet because of that video and you’re telling me you can’t have it deleted?"
Leah paused her fingers for a second, tearing her gaze away from her screen and finally staring at Vivian.
"I can’t. I tried to but the team mentioned that it was impossible."
"That’s a lie. This is yours and Arianna’s plan to ruin me. You two are working together so you can orchestrate something like this together," she said through gritted teeth. "But do I need to remind you about my family and my husband? If this continues, I’m going to have them ruin your life, Leah. Don’t forget you owe me the success of your company. I built you."
Leah’s lips twitched as she tried to resist the urge to laugh in Vivian’s face.
Just because Vivian got signed into her company while it was slowly progressing, it made her believe that Leah owed her.
Unable to hold it any longer, Leah bursts out laughing.
Vivian glared at her, her face flushed in embarrassment.
"Stop laughing!" She demanded, slamming her fist against the table.
"Why not? Do you know how stupid you look right now?"
Vivian’s teeth gnash together as she tries to contain herself. If it wasn’t for one thing, she would have smacked Leah across the face until she was satisfied but she couldn’t do so for obvious reasons.
"You might deny it, but you know that you owe me your success. I was the only artist who managed to grow your company into what it is now. So you better treat me with some respect and delete that video."
Leah stared at her for a few seconds, as if searching for the right words to say to Vivian, then she parted her lips and spoke.
"No. I’ve warned you several times in the past to stop your bullying but you paid deaf ears to my warnings. Since you believe that you’re very popular, this little scandal shouldn’t affect your reputation much."
Vivian gnashed her teeth in rage while her fist continued to clench tightly by her side.
"You know you shouldn’t be bothered by this video at all. People are going to forget it quickly because you’re popular."
Vivian wouldn’t have bothered about the video if she wasn’t already getting bashed on the internet.
After Arianna returned, netizens have been calling her all sorts of names, and now this.
"Leah..."
"There’s nothing I can do about this, Vivian, so you might as well just forget about it."
Then Leah focused on her computer, completely dismissing Vivian.
Vivian scowled at her, but didn’t say anything.
She turned to leave the office while cursing under her breath.
Downstairs, Vivian felt gazes on her as she left the building. She mastered all the faces of everyone that was mumbling behind her back.
She made a mental note to deal with them appropriately, but for now, she’ll need to get the video deleted from the internet. And there was someone who could do that for her.
Reaching home, Vivian quickly went to Logan’s study where she knew she would find him.
"I need you to do something for me," she said as she closed the door behind her.
Logan raised his head from the documents, giving her a once over.
"What is that?" He asked with a cocked up eyebrow.
"Vivian uploaded a video of me on the internet. I’ve asked Leah to take it down but she has refused. Those two are working together to get rid of me but I won’t let that happen." She took a breath, trying to calm her nerves. "I need you to help me take down that video."
Logan went quiet. He went silent for only two seconds but that was a long time for Vivian.
"What?!" She snapped impatiently.
"You mean the video of you bullying Adrianna?"
She nodded.
Logan sighed as he leaned back into his seat.
"That was the reason you pushed Clara to the floor when I returned? Because you were mad about that?!"
Vivian rolled her eyes, unable to believe they were still stuck in that issue.
"She’s going to get over it. It’s not a big issue."
"Then I guess the video staying on the internet shouldn’t be an issue either."
Vivian’s face instantly went cold.
"If you can’t contain your anger towards our daughter, then maybe, you need to be taught a lesson."
Vivian scoffed as if she’d just heard the stupidest thing. "I’m pregnant, Logan," she said as a matter of fact. "We both tried to kill Arianna and somehow, she managed to return, and now, both she and Leah and both are planning to ruin everything I’ve worked hard for. I’m currently under a lot of stress while pregnant and you don’t want to help me out."
Logan glanced between her small baby bump that was barely starting to show and then at Vivian’s face.
Thinking back to what had been happening for the past two weeks, he couldn’t help but admit she was right.
She was pregnant with his child, and he needed to protect her at all costs, even from Arianna herself.
"I’ll help you," he said with a sigh. "I’ll take down the video but only if you stop harassing your juniors. You’re only making things easier for Arianna when you do those things. Lay low for now until we know what she’s really up to."
Vivian wanted to argue but quickly decided against it.
Rubbing her success in the faces of the younger models made her feel special. It fed her ego and made her feel wanted. She came from a rich family so she believed everyone envied her because she was so ready to run over their faces over and over again.
Then something popped into her mind, something that Logan had mentioned earlier.
"What did you mean when you said you gave Arianna a position back at the company?" She questioned with narrowed eyes.
Out of rage from earlier, she hadn’t paid close attention to his words but now that her head was much calmer, her blood started to boil.
Logan took a breath before he parted his lips to speak.
"I’ve lost a lot of investors for the company. After Arianna’s statement, they’ve made it clear they don’t want to partner with me anymore. I need her to convince them. She’s the only one who can convince them."
Vivian sneered, unable to believe her ears.
It was always Arianna. Arianna this, Arianna that.
After trying to get rid of her, she managed to survive, and now, Logan wants to get her back into the company.
"Isn’t there any way to do this? Why must she return?"
"I told you," Logan snapped, causing her to flinch back. "My company is going down. I can’t let my tears of hard work go down the drain just like that. If all they want is Arianna, then that’s what they’re going to get. All I need from you is to get along with her when you see her at the company. Do you understand me?"
Vivian was convinced that Logan had lost his senses. There was no way he was asking her to get along with the very same woman that they’d both planned to kill together.
