Chapter 54: Agreement

Arianna left Daemon’s gate while stomping her feet hard on the floor. The men who’d spotted her earlier must have sensed the tension and quickly moved away.

From the look of things, she must have had an argument with her boss since her face looked less bright than how it was when she’d walked in.

"What do you think happened?" One whispered to another as they watched her get into her car.

"How am I supposed to know? We were both here when he led her into the house or have you forgotten?"

The first one scoffed and rolled his eyes back. "Can’t you follow a damn script?"

The second one looked at him confused. "What script? You didn’t give me any script." Then he turned to the other soldiers. "Did Terry give you guys a script except me?"

They all groaned as they facepalmed themselves and walked away, completely ignoring his existence.

"Did I say something wrong?" He wondered, scratching the back of his head in confusion.

Arianna got in her car and slammed on the steering wheel with full force.

"My life is on the line now because of him," she spouted out through gritted teeth. As if Crisanto Sanchez wasn’t enough, she had to worry about some Levi Sokolov who wanted to use her to get Daemon to do whatever he wanted.

She’d already asked Cassian to do any kind of research on the name, but nothing came up, which was why she had to result in asking Daemon and yet, the idiot didn’t want to explain who he was and what he wanted.

Arianna took a deep breath, realizing it shouldn’t be her business.

She may be caught in the crossfire between both men but for sure, Levi won’t be hiding forever. If he tried doing the same thing he did a week ago, he might not live to plan another day of his life.

Arianna’s fists were clenched tightly in her palm from just thinking back to the conversation she just had with Daemon.

She was about to lay a curse on him when she suddenly received a phone call. She grunted hard as she reached for her phone, only to find the person she’d been expecting a call from the whole week.

"Yes, Cassandra?" She said quickly after picking up.

"I’m with Leah now at her office. I’ve made a decision."

Arianna’s lips bloomed into a smile, completely discarding her fight with Daemon early. This was good news.

Her first phase of Vivian’s plan was finally about to get set into action.

Arianna quickly ignited the engines of her car and zoomed off before Cassandra could say anything else.

In twenty minutes, she arrived at Starlife Entertainment building.

As usual, the staff and artists whispered to each other when they saw her. What happened months ago still hasn’t left their mouths apparently.

However, Arianna was glad they still talked about it, because soon, they’ll have more to talk about.

Taking the elevator to Leah’s office, Arianna encountered more staff members who stared at her in confusion because they weren’t expecting her to come to the company.

Arianna ignored their looks and started to walk into the office where she found Cassandra sitting on a chair opposite Leah’s chair.

To think she’d walked into that office earlier that morning to see Logan offering her to come back to the company.

Arianna joined them.

"I’m glad you’ve come to a decision."

"That’s only because I want Vivian to suffer as much as I have. It doesn’t mean that we’re friends. We just have the same enemy."

"But you know the old saying, the enemy of your enemy is your friend."

"I’m not your friend," Cassandra deadpanned.

Arianna’s lips thinned into a straight line but she didn’t insist anymore.

She couldn’t blame her at all. After what she’d been through, it was natural for Cassandra to be cautious of Arianna and not want any kind of relationship with her.

"Leah has already given me the contract. I’ll hand it over to my lawyer to take a look at it first before I sign anything," Cassandra said, pointing at the contract that was right before her. "I wouldn’t want the same thing to repeat itself again."

Arianna and Leah shared a look but neither of them said anything.

Cassandra was extremely talented but out of favoritism, Starlife didn’t recognize her potential quickly.

"You can cross check the contract as much as you want, there aren’t any loopholes or a section that’s going to force you to do anything you don’t want to," said Leah.

"There’s nothing wrong with being extra careful."

Leah nodded in understanding. Then she turned to Arianna.

"Vivian messed up once again and this time, I have footage of it."

Arianna’s lips stretched into a smile.

Without saying anything else, Leah typed something in her computer and shifted the screen to face both Arianna and Cassandra.

From the looks of the background, the CCTV cameras had captured the moment from the lobby downstairs, the ground floor.

Vivian had intentionally bumped into one of the models. Her name was Adriana Sterling.

She was extremely popular but when it came to Vivian’s level, not so much. She was a junior to Vivian and she was bullying her.

"Can’t you see?" Vivian questioned, feigning anger. "Or are you too stupid to watch where you’re going?"

"You bumped into me, Vivian," Adrianna corrected lazily, as if she didn’t have the energy to deal with Vivian at that moment. "Stop trying to switch things up."

"Are you calling me a liar now?" Vivian demanded. "Trust me, Adriana, you wouldn’t want to get on my bad side. You saw what I did to get rid of Cassandra. I won’t even need to lift a finger to get rid of you as well."

Adrianna cowered as she stepped back from Vivian. "I don’t want any trouble. I didn’t do anything to you. Why do you always act like some stuck up bitch who can’t watch other people succeed? Oh wait, I know why. It’s because you’re insecure."

Vivian reared back as if she’d been slapped in the face as she glowered at Adriana.

"What did you just say?" She demanded.

"I called you an insecure stuck up bitch!" Adrianna repeated just loud enough for everyone to hear. "You stole your best friend’s husband and got pregnant for him after everything she’d done for both of you. It’s obvious you’re not only insecure but also greedy. You wanted to be her so badly that you had to betray Arianna."

Vivian stayed quiet, unable to talk.

"What? Realized you own your success to the woman you once betrayed? It’s crazy to me how you still have the nerve to bully the juniors here when you didn’t even work for any achievements in your life."

Vivian reared back once again, this time, completely speechless. Her fists were balled tightly by her side, her nails digging into her palm but she couldn’t say anything.

She parted and closed her lips, but nothing could come out of her mouth.

"I hope Arianna wakes up and takes back everything from you and I hope karma hits you so hard that you won’t be able to wake up until it’s already too late for you to change things."

Then Adriana turned to leave without waiting for Vivian to respond.

Vivian reached out to stop her, but her hand caught air. She couldn’t bring herself to attack Adrianna anymore.

She’d been slapped with the truth so hardly that she couldn’t fathom a proper word.

"Release the video," Arianna said once they were done watching. "No. Send me the video. I’ll create a burner account and post it myself."

Leah stared at Arianna for a second before she sent the video to her.

Right there and then, Arianna created an anonymous social media account and uploaded the video.

Thankfully, it received several views.

"Hold on! There’s no way this two faced bitch is actually bullying her juniors."

"Why hasn’t Starlife higher ups done anything about this? Is it because she’s popular? They just can’t let her bully other models for wanting to live their dreams."

"They should sue. She thinks she’s all that when in fact, she isn’t."

Arianna read each and every comment rolling in, a smile on her face.

She raised her head and turned to Cassandra.

"Once you’re signed in, Leah will do the rest of you. And don’t worry, this time around, we’ll be by your side and make sure Vivian doesn’t bring any harm to you."

"Good," she replied curtly as she picked up her bag and left. "I’ll be back after my lawyer reviews the contract."

Then she walked out the door.

Somewhere else, Vivian was casually scrolling through her phone when she saw a video that made her eyes nearly fall out.

The incident happened two days ago, and now, she is trending on social media.

"They’re trying to sabotage me," she said through gritted teeth.
