Chapter 1113: Chapter 1053: Confrontation and Defeat

"I like them all!"

"How much do you like them?"

"More than I imagined."

Sienna Johnson actually wanted to ask if he liked her enough to impersonate Noah Phillips to get close to her?

Sienna withdrew her gaze and looked at the cooling sweet potato, saying, "Celia Rafael was right, I am indeed fickle and unfaithful."

"You don’t need to take that woman’s words to heart!"

Night Owl was very satisfied with Celia Rafael’s words, making his relationship with Sienna Johnson become ambiguous, but if Sienna disliked her, he wouldn’t mind making her disappear from this world.

"Words are terrifying."

Night Owl laughed, "I don’t think someone like you would care about what others say."

"What kind of person am I?"

"Smart, cunning, calm, patient!... Sienna Johnson, did you find out something?" Night Owl’s last words made Sienna’s heart skip a beat.

She responded quickly, saying, "I know you love me, but I can’t accept it. In my heart, I always see you as a brother."

"Brother? I like it when you call me brother in bed." He looked down at her, his gaze aggressive, and Sienna couldn’t help but want to retreat.

Night Owl grabbed her hand, placing it on his face. The two of them were very close, and Night Owl slowly said, "Do you still want to peel the skin off my face to see the real face underneath?"

Did he know she’s doubting his identity?

"Brother, what are you saying? I don’t understand." Sienna pretended to be confused, trying to withdraw her hand, but Night Owl held it, planting a kiss on her palm.

"No!"

"Don’t call me brother, except when in bed!"

"I will never leave Adrian Desmond!" Her mind unclear, these words slipped out.

"Don’t say forever, unless it’s at the moment of your death."

Night Owl liked Sienna Johnson now, but he didn’t know how long this affection would last. He had never been someone with long-lasting feelings; his nature was to favor the new over the old.

He didn’t believe in "forever"!

The sea can change into mulberry fields, let alone fickle human hearts.

In the game of wits against the man in front of her, Sienna Johnson was currently at a disadvantage.

Perhaps it was because of the sweet potato, Sienna suddenly felt she couldn’t breathe. She took off her coat and returned it to him, unable to continue this facade with the man.

She wanted to escape.

"Where are you going?"

Night Owl’s steps quickened, chasing from behind. Sienna forced herself to stay calm, but she felt like the mask on her face was about to fall off.

A black car suddenly stopped in front of Sienna, the window rolled down, and Adrian Desmond said, "Get in!"

Sienna opened the passenger door and got in.

Night Owl saw Adrian Desmond and stopped in his tracks.

"Drive!" Sienna said to Adrian.

Adrian stepped on the gas, the black car slid away. The road was covered with a layer of snow, and Adrian didn’t dare to drive too fast.

In the rearview mirror, Adrian looked at Noah Phillips’s face, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

Whoever was behind that mask, daring to steal his woman, would have to bear his wrath.

"That man is not Noah Phillips!" Sienna said, with a firm tone.

"Hmm."

"The real Noah Phillips is still alive." After a pause, Sienna continued, "But I don’t know where he’s being held right now."

Sienna originally intended to bargain with the fake Noah Phillips to extract some information, but she realized she couldn’t. That man seemed to know what she was thinking, leaving her exposed.

"A fake can’t become real. Since it’s fake, flaws will eventually show. We’ll have someone keep an eye on him." Adrian said.

"Hmm."

Sienna worried that Noah Phillips was in danger, not daring to delay a moment. She immediately called Lucas Robertson, briefly explaining the situation, and asked him to investigate the true identity of the fake Noah Phillips.

"Adrian, my mind is a bit messy now."

"Then don’t think about anything, sleep. We are going home."

"Hmm."

Sienna curled up in the passenger seat, about to close her eyes when a police car, siren blaring, drove toward them, the loudspeaker instructed them to stop.

"Were you speeding?"

Adrian looked speechless, "At this turtle speed, can I possibly speed?" The road was slippery, and Adrian didn’t dare to drive fast.

"...Stop!" The police shouted out their license number.

"What the hell do these damn police want?" Adrian cursed, his mood already bad today, and now the police were causing him trouble.

"Maybe it’s a routine check. Just park the car by the roadside. You weren’t speeding or running red lights anyway."

Adrian parked the car by the roadside, and four policemen got out of the off-road vehicle behind them, each holding a gun.

Click... Adrian’s ears slightly twitched; it was the sound of a bullet being loaded. As an arms dealer, Adrian was very familiar with the sound of various guns.

"Get out of the car and put your hands on your head!" the police shouted.

Sienna complained, "What’s going on? Even if we did run a red light or speed, is such a big show necessary?"

The two of them obediently got out of the car.

"We suspect that you two have committed murder and are on the run. You are now under arrest. You have the right to remain silent, but anything you say can be used as evidence in court!"

The police skillfully recited their lines, and Sienna couldn’t shake the feeling that this was like a scene from a Hong Kong movie, so unreal.

"Do you have any evidence?" Sienna asked.

"That’s the procusecutorate’s business; we are only responsible for making arrests."

One of the policemen came up to search them; since there were no female officers, they didn’t search Sienna, only Adrian.

When they found a silenced pistol on Adrian, Sienna felt entirely uneasy.

"Why do you have a gun on you?" Sienna asked.

Adrian knew that Orienta did not allow illegal possession of firearms. Usually, he did not carry a gun, but this time, without their bodyguard, he took a gun just in case.

The fake Noah Phillips was hitting on his woman, and the more Adrian listened, the angrier he became, so he came out looking for Sienna on an impulse and took the gun with him.

If the fake Noah Phillips dared to be presumptuous in front of him, Adrian would shoot him!

The police’s gaze at Adrian changed; what was once only suspicion was now certainty that Adrian was the murderer.

Sienna said, "I want to contact my lawyer."

"That’s fine."

"..."

"But it’s freezing outside; let’s head to the Police Station first."

The two of them got into the police car and went to the Police Station amid the piercing sound of sirens.

Sienna asked, "May I ask who is dead?"

"You don’t know who’s dead yet?"

"I didn’t kill anyone outside. How would I know?"
