Chapter 1078: Chapter 1018: Noah Phillips’s Forceful Confession
Adrian Desmond commanded Sally, "From now on, anything related to Madam, you must report to me immediately!"
Sally hesitated a bit and did not answer immediately. Adrian, displeased, said, "Sally, did you not hear what I just said? Do I need to repeat myself?" Adrian was not someone with much patience.
Sally replied, "Madam said she doesn’t like being monitored. Madam also said that if Sixth Master wants to know something, he can ask her directly, but she doesn’t want to be surveilled."
"Can’t you secretly tell me?"
How could he have such a dull subordinate?
"Madam is so smart, how could I ever hide anything from her?" Sally muttered softly.
Adrian frowned and coldly asked, "Sally, whose person are you?"
"I am Madam’s person now!"
Adrian: ...
"Sally, we should get going." Sienna Johnson, holding Curly’s hand, walked over.
Curly was very cheerful, bouncing with joy, holding a large bouquet of roses, a bright smile on her face.
Sally saw Adrian hadn’t hung up the phone, and since his orders were difficult for her to fulfill, she handed the phone to Sienna Johnson directly, saying, "Madam, Sixth Master is calling."
"Oh." Sienna Johnson thought Adrian had an urgent matter when the call went to Sally’s phone, "Adrian, what’s up? I was just doing an interview show and couldn’t take the call."
Adrian didn’t expect Sally to pull such a trick, "The interview show, I watched it, and your performance was nice."
Sienna Johnson chuckled, "Are you talking about my performance or your daughter’s performance?"
"Both of you performed well."
"Adrian, I was put in a tough spot by your daughter today." Sienna Johnson felt utterly embarrassed.
"Kids speak carelessly." Adrian laughed, thinking of her embarrassed and flushed face on TV, Adrian said empathetically, "Don’t worry, when you return I’ll have the door replaced with one that’s more soundproof so she won’t hear you... there."
"You better not replace the door!" Replacing the door would only make her more embarrassed.
"Mommy, let’s go now, I want to go home." Curly shook her mother’s arm, urging her.
"Okay."
Sienna Johnson told Adrian, "If there’s nothing urgent, we can talk when I get back. I’m at the TV station now and it’s not convenient to talk."
"Alright, be careful on your way."
"Got it."
Adrian waited for Sienna Johnson to hang up before hanging up the call himself.
Desmond Manor was cold and empty, like a haunted house, lacking any vitality. The longer Adrian stayed at Johnson Family, the more he struggled to adapt to the coldness of Desmond Manor.
All these years, he didn’t know how he survived. But now, he lived a life of cold solitude.
He missed Sienna Johnson’s gentle face, missed the chattering daughter, and missed his son.
"Go find out about this person named Hilda Potter."
Marion remembered Hilda Potter, though unsure if this Hilda Potter was the one he knew.
"Hilda Potter, are you saying Noah Phillips’ fiancée?"
"You know her?"
Marion reminded him, "Sixth Master, have you forgotten? At Sheehan’s month-old celebration, Noah Phillips brought Hilda Potter along."
Adrian had thrown away all the gifts from Noah Phillips, which greatly irritated Sienna Johnson, though Marion dared not mention it.
Adrian thought hard but couldn’t recall this person. It wasn’t that his memory was poor, but wherever Sienna Johnson was, he couldn’t see anyone else.
Sienna Johnson was like a luminous entity, attracting his gaze and making those around her fade into the background.
"Investigate! Warn her to stay away from Sienna Johnson, next time if she dares to be reckless, don’t blame me for being ruthless!"
"Yes."
Adrian showed leniency for Noah Phillips’ sake, always being tolerant towards the women of his rivals.
Because, to him, rivals staying single wasn’t favorable.
Sienna Johnson had a strong moral compass; if Noah Phillips were married, even if Sienna Johnson still liked him, she wouldn’t have anything to do with him.
Back then, it was because Adrian was going to marry Melanie Carpenter, that Sienna Johnson left with Curly.
...
In early winter, the leaves had fallen, leaving a few lonely leaves on the branches, evoking a sense of sorrow.
Sienna Johnson, dressed in a dark blue trench coat, stood by the park’s fountain, watching her two children play, her face wearing a gentle, alluring smile.
Noah Phillips stood behind a tree, peeking.
Sally noticed, looked over, and saw Noah Phillips. Sally frowned.
She glared at Noah Phillips several times, but Noah Phillips only had eyes for Sienna Johnson, completely oblivious to her, Sally said to Sienna Johnson, "Madam, Mr. Phillips is watching you from behind the tree."
Sienna Johnson looked up, indeed seeing Noah Phillips in a similar trench coat. If it weren’t for the incident with Hilda Potter, Sienna Johnson would’ve greeted Noah Phillips, but now she needed to steer clear.
"Curly, we should head home." Sienna Johnson withdrew her gaze and called out to her daughter who was gleefully playing.
"Mommy, let me play a little longer... Little Monster enjoys it when I push him around." Curly was pushing Sheehan’s stroller, running to and fro, Sheehan giggling and excitedly patting the stroller with his tiny hands.
"Behave, look, it’s almost dark."
"Oh no, we just started playing and now we’re leaving. Mommy, I’ve decided not to like you anymore." Curly pouted, displeased.
At this moment, Noah Phillips approached from afar, making it impossible for Sienna Johnson to pretend not to see and walk away.
"Baby!" Noah Phillips called out.
Upon hearing this name, Sienna Johnson frowned a little but still smiled and said, "How is your fiancée? Last time she came to the company looking for me, she seemed to have some misunderstanding about me.
I tried to explain, but she didn’t believe me. Have you explained everything to her?"
Noah Phillips stood beside her and said, "We broke up."
"What?" Sienna Johnson asked in surprise.
Noah Phillips smiled lightly and said, "We suddenly realized our personalities don’t match, so we broke up."
"Is it because of me?" Sienna Johnson’s expression became gloomy.
Noah Phillips did not answer, Sienna Johnson pursed her lips, thought for a moment, and still said, "When I first met Hilda Potter, I felt she was a nice person.
Although our second meeting was unpleasant, I can understand her feelings.
If I knew Adrian was having an affair with another woman, I’d probably lose control too..."
"You wouldn’t!" Noah Phillips said firmly.
Sienna Johnson seemed not to hear Noah Phillips’ words, continuing, "You see, two people coming together is fate. Couples need to work together, don’t give up easily..."
"Sienna Johnson, the one I love is you!"
At such times, Sienna Johnson couldn’t continue to pretend ignorance; it wouldn’t be good for either of them.
