Chapter 1066: Chapter 1008: A Perfect Match (Part 2)
"He’s too small, he can’t eat it."
Sheehan didn’t appreciate it and threw the grapes on the ground, continuing to cry.
Adrian knew he didn’t want grapes, so he offered him several other things, but he refused them all, leaving only a roast chicken.
"Son, this chicken is greasy, you can’t play with it."
Sheehan didn’t care; if he couldn’t get it, he’d cry. Anyway, if he cried hard enough, someone would definitely satisfy him.
"Dad, Sheehan wants to eat chicken. Give him a drumstick."
Sienna tore off a drumstick and gave it to Sheehan, who immediately stopped crying. Sienna pinched his little nose and said, "You little rascal."
Sheehan didn’t have teeth, so he held the drumstick and licked it, getting his mouth all oily, and Sienna didn’t mind.
"Mom and Samara are both fine, and grandma is also doing well. A few days ago, she lost her coffin, and now she chases me every day asking for a coffin.
Definitely a young-old child, young-old child."
Sienna chatted with her father for a while and, seeing it was getting late, left.
Dusk settled, and the cemetery was quiet.
Sienna glanced back, and her eyes couldn’t help but become moist, "Adrian, if Dad were still alive, wouldn’t it be wonderful?"
Adrian held Sienna’s shoulder and consoled her, "Humans can’t come back to life after death, try to think positively."
"Adrian, you can’t die before me," she said selfishly.
"Mm-hmm. Didn’t you say good people don’t live long, and troublemakers last thousands of years? I want to strive to be a troublemaker and live a thousand years."
"You think you’re that turtle?"
"I’m a turtle, and you’re a tortoise. Turtle matches tortoise."
Sienna: ...
...
After experiencing the trial of the virus, Sienna suddenly realized there’s nothing more important than family.
So, she didn’t bother with the closure of Eastminster Pharmaceutical Factory, instead staying home every day with the kids and Adrian.
"Mom, I think straight hair is pretty too."
Curly lost her hair, becoming a little bald head, always very downcast, so Sienna bought her a bunch of wigs.
Because she had curly hair herself, Curly preferred all kinds of straight hair.
Adrian saw Curly with long straight hair and bangs and almost didn’t recognize her.
"Dad, am I pretty?"
"Pretty!"
"Who’s prettier, me or Mom?"
Adrian: ...
Sienna laughed, "You’re teasing your dad again."
"Hmph, dad doesn’t have taste. Obviously, I’m younger and prettier than you, yet he can’t answer."
Adrian: ...
Curly took Little Monster over and tried on various wigs on his head.
Babies are not easy to distinguish their gender, and with a wig on, someone who doesn’t know might think Sheehan is a little girl.
"Mom, take a picture of Little Monster quickly."
"Why?"
"I want to tell everyone I’ve got a sister now."
"If you want a sister, mom can have one for you."
Adrian: ...
"I want two sisters."
"Then let’s have two."
The mother and daughter enthusiastically discussed, while Adrian stood aside listening with a frown, thinking isn’t anybody going to ask his opinion on this matter?
As the one providing the sperm, he felt he had quite a say.
...
Nicole quickly adapted to life in the Johnson Family.
In the back residence, three women without husbands were enjoying each other’s company.
Sienna said to Adrian, "Looks like we need more sons, our Johnson Family is too female-heavy."
"Isn’t it better if your son has more sons?"
"Adrian, as a father, how can you shirk responsibility?" Sienna said seriously.
Adrian changed the subject, "What’s going on with you lately? The company is a mess, and you’re not dealing with it? This isn’t like you."
"I suddenly feel you all are more important than work, so I want to spend more time with you. As for the company, let it be like that. After all, it’s made quite a bit of money these years, it won’t go bankrupt in a short while."
Adrian clapped his hands and said, "President Johnson, I’m really impressed. You’ve changed to the point that I hardly recognize you."
Sienna ignored his mockery and said, "How about we have roast lamb tonight?"
"Alright."
As long as there’s talk of meat, it’s good.
...
They brought two black mountain goats from the hills, originally Sienna wanted to hire a master to slaughter them, but Adrian insisted on doing it himself.
Curly clamored to watch the goat slaughter, wearing a scarf with little bunny ears. The wigs worn for a few days, Curly didn’t like them anymore.
The little girl who likes the new and dislikes the old.
Sheehan watched the bleating goat on the ground, his eyes round. Sienna sometimes envied Sheehan, for his curiosity about the world.
"Adrian, Sheehan is so small, letting him watch the goat slaughter won’t scare him, will it?"
"He’s not a girl, how could he be scared by slaughtering a goat?"
Sheehan is only three and a half months old!
Adrian knelt and pressed down on the goat’s body, the black mountain goat seemed to foresee its fate, bleating with a trace of sadness.
"Wait!" Just as the dagger was about to pierce the goat’s neck, Sienna stopped him.
"What for?"
"Is your dagger clean?"
"Of course it is! I washed it."
That dagger, Sienna recognized; Adrian had used it to kill someone, and feeling uneasy, she asked someone to bring a knife from the kitchen.
"Use this one, this knife hasn’t killed the same kind," Sienna said tactfully.
"Such a fuss!"
Adrian raised the knife and brought it down; the black mountain goat let out a miserable cry and went still.
Sienna used a clean bowl to catch the goat blood, and Adrian asked, "What’s this for?"
"To make goat blood dish."
Sienna looked at the fresh blood in the bowl and told Adrian, "We can make stir-fried goat blood, hotpot goat blood... it’s very delicious."
"Are there any foods you Orientans don’t eat?"
"Yes, we don’t eat people!"
"If you Orientans ate your own kind, people all over the world would stay away from you."
"In Orientan history, most common folks were very poor, so we would try to make use of every ingredient to the fullest. It’s also a form of frugality."
