Chapter 1040: Chapter 987: The Birth of Super Dad (Part 2)

Dribbling, relay running, long jump... When Adrian Desmond broke the Olympic record, the referee was starting to doubt whether the stopwatch was wrong.

"Jayce, is that your dad?"

"Yeah." Curly grinned proudly, watched Adrian’s silhouette, and shouted, "Dad, go for it!"

Adrian glanced back and gave his daughter a smile.

"Is your dad Superman?"

"Yep, my dad’s Superman, not from Earth! My dad’s awesome! Do you want to buy a photo of my dad? It costs 1 dollar and 50 cents each."

"A photo of your dad in a Superman costume?"

In a Superman costume?

Curly didn’t have any, but she could buy a cheap Superman costume online from the marketplace and sell a few photos to make her money back.

"Regular photos are 1 dollar and 50 cents each, and those with a Superman costume are 3 dollars each."

A boy said, "Jayce, isn’t that a bit expensive?"

"Can’t help it, the real-life version of Superman is always a bit pricier. If you want the movie’s fake Superman, that’s cheap, 1 yuan each."

"..."

"Glasses Kid, you’re so skinny and fragile like a chick, put my Superman dad’s photo over your bed and you’ll be strong like my dad, turning into Superman." Curly bragged without restraint, her little mouth rattling off praise for Adrian.

"Jayce, stop fooling others, there’s no such thing as aliens in the world. Superman is fake."

Before Curly could counter, George said, "There are many planets with life like Earth in the Milky Way, theoretically there are aliens, it’s just that they’re far from us. Once our spaceship speed reaches light speed, we’ll be able to meet aliens."

"George Hunter, you’re amazing, knowing so much."

"Not really, I just love reading so I know a bit more." George said humbly.

George was quite popular, surrounded by other girls, while Curly was annoyed because she hadn’t received any orders for Superman photos, as everyone’s attention shifted away.

"George, didn’t you see my dad is thirsty? Hurry and go bring him water?"

"Oh." George picked up a bottle of water and went to deliver it to Adrian. The girls’ gazes followed George as he ran, and Curly blocked their view to prevent them from seeing him.

"Do you want my Superman dad’s photo?"

"Jayce, although your dad is handsome, he’s a bit old for my taste. I still prefer George Hunter."

"Aren’t you tired of liking the same person?"

"It means I’m loyal."

"Go on, get out of here."

Glasses Kid walked over, pulled out 3 dollars and gave it to Curly, "I want a photo of your Superman dad."

"One won’t be enough, right? You should stick a few more. How about I give you a discount, 6 for 15 dollars!"

"Alright." Glasses Kid handed over all his pocket money for the month to Curly, who couldn’t stop smiling.

...

At the shooting contest, Adrian held a toy gun, his expression showing frustration; he had never thought he would be playing with toy guns.

Back then, his uncle gave him his first toy: an M95 Sniper Rifle.

"Can’t we use a real gun?" Adrian asked the woman next to him.

"Orienta prohibits illegal gun ownership. Besides, this is a kindergarten, what if kids got accidentally hurt with real guns?"

Adrian aimed at the balloons, shooting one with each shot, his expression showing boredom.

"Be discreet, don’t hit them all, miss a few shots."

"Then you do it."

Sienna took over, fired three shots in a row, and missed them all. Adrian frowned and asked Sienna, "Did you really miss, or did you miss on purpose?"

"Missed on purpose."

Sienna handed the gun back to Adrian and directed, "Hit the remaining ones."

Adrian aimed and fired a few shots, bursting all the balloons. He held the gun skillfully for show, stunning the little boys at kindergarten.

"Father-in-law, the next event is the marathon race, please prepare." George came over to inform Adrian.

Sienna asked, "I don’t need to do anything else, right?"

"After the marathon race, the sports event will end. Following that, there’s an award ceremony."

Adrian’s performance was outstanding, making Curly’s first place win a given.

"I’ll go wait in the stands, call me during the awards ceremony."

Sienna went to rest in the stands, having done the fifty-meter race and frog jumps... having been active all day, she was tired.

"...the final event, the two-kilometer marathon race. The rule is simple: the dad carries the child, and whoever reaches the finish line the fastest wins..."

In modern society, much physical labor has turned into mental work, leading to most people lacking exercise, which made Adrian stand out among them all. Just his presence overshadowed everyone else.

Curly sat atop her dad’s neck, clutching Adrian’s head tightly, waving to Sienna in the stands.

"Go Curly, go Adrian!" Sienna shouted.

Hearing Sienna’s cheer, Adrian sent her a flying kiss from the stands, feeling embarrassed under everyone’s gaze, she lowered her head.

"Ready..."

Bang... The gunshot rang out; Adrian held Curly’s legs, she clung tightly to her dad’s head, and the two began to run swiftly.

Sienna stood up, her gaze trailing Adrian’s figure closely, cheering them on.

...

"Is that man an athlete? Why is he so fast?"

"Probably."

"Then why haven’t I heard of him?"

"Don’t you see his features are so pronounced, he must be mixed race, possibly a foreigner."

Sienna chuckled beside them; though Adrian’s nationality was Abyanabad, his ancestors were from Orienta, making him an Abyanabad-Chinese.

Adrian easily completed the course, standing at the finish line, not short of breath, he looked at the men trailing far behind, waving at Sienna.

"Mom, we won." Curly shouted.

Sienna gave them a thumbs-up. Adrian placed Curly down, held her hand, and walked toward Sienna.

"Mom, aren’t Dad and I amazing?"

"Yes, amazing."

Sienna handed Adrian a bottle of water. He took a sip, then sat beside her, watching the men on the track.

He said, "If a war broke out, these people would be goners."

"You think everyone’s like you."

Adrian wrapped the two snugly in his arms and said, "Relax, if danger comes, I can carry both of you and run like the wind."

"What about Little Monster?"

"Little Monster is held by mom, dad holds mom, carrying Curly..." Adrian looked at Sienna, never missing a chance to influence her, "So, no more kids, any more, I can’t manage."
