Chapter 50: Chapter 50

Shinning upon the earth with all it’s glory was the silver moon, and at an eerie distance, the Veiled world glowed. This combination made night time nearly as bright as day.

By now the strong and willing to continue existing had adapted to these changes, it was the twenty first day after all. However they were a few exceptions, those who ran on luck.

Squatting at the very edge of the building’s roof was a handsome muscular boy of seventeen, his bloody face lay grim as thoughts ran through his mind.

His eyes were wide open, his iris refusing to shudder, his eyelids refusing to blink. With a dagger in his hands and the cool breeze blowing across his face, he watched.

Sounds of laughter and chattering echoed through the cold night, causing the lose of serenity. The boy clenched his fists gritting his teeth in annoyance.

"Marcus..., Marcus, Your awfully close to the edge, come sit close to the fire." A female voice called out, but he didn’t reply. After some moments he rose and turned away from the edge.

Directly in front of him was a girl about his age looking at him with deep sorrow in her eyes. "You don’t have to worry about me Martha, I was just thinking of a way to get us all out." He said smiling for the first time as he touched her face.

At a little distance was a campfire and around it were seven people, in other words Marcus’s current responsibility. Or so he told himself.

Sitting at the fire, he looked at the people around him and sighed. "I am not sure these people have any intention to leave."

Hearing this everyone in the group lowered their heads. "I told myself I wouldn’t break your spirits, but it would cause more harm to leave you all in the dark." He began in a sorrowful tone.

"Tomorrow makes it the sixth day after we sent off Tim and Sera, no news, our food supplies have been gone two days ago. The bitting cold at night time and uncertainty of survival under an unveiled sun.

Our chances have been reduced to nearly ten percent if we remain here, lower if we confront those people." He cough at the last sentence and looked at all the members of his cohort.

"At this stage all we can hope for is a miracle. Sending Tim and Sera who had the highest chances of survival amongst us was our only hope..., And now we can’t afford another." Marcus said ending his analysis.

Tucking his head behind his knees, he became introspective as for once he was left totally stranded. If not for the awakened physiology of his cohort, they would have all been dead by now.

The freezing night colds reached subzero temperatures, without proper clothing most of them should have died from hypothermia. Coupled with hours of intense hunger, the nights were hell.

Day time was it’s own horror altogether, with high temperatures despite cloud cover. The cohort spent hours

Chapter Context: We are shown the situation on Marcus’s POV

Goal: It has been two days and Marcus’s cohort are trying to stay of the radar of who ever is after them.

Conflict: Hiding at the roof of the mall, they encounter and battle a Hushfeather Owl.

Turning Point: After a long battle is held the Hushfeather retreats after inflicting major injuries to the cohort.

Outcome: With almost everyone injured Marcus and one other venture into the mall to look for medication.

Emotional Note: Despair.

The unusually quiet vacuum of space stood still as normal with it’s glorious beauty of different coloured stars, galaxies and other wonders of space, nebulas swirled gracefully and the malevolent nature of black holes were hidden by the distance.

It was a pretty peaceful and relaxing sight to behold presuming you wouldn’t die of lack of oxygen, suddenly a violent burning line of light swiftly passed by but wait what was that and how was it burning in a place of no oxygen well sit tight for the tale of earlier moments in planet Savane.

.....

Moving at cosmic speed we arrive mer seconds later to an evergreen planet similar to earth, this planet was so similar if you were to look at both of them from space you would think they were cousins.

On closer inspection you will find out it revolves around a neutron star and has a total of nine moons, inside the planet a lot of planetary life can be seen here and there all were the earth extincted dinosaurs.

Crystal clear green rivers, seas and oceans flown all over the planet and floating citadels hung over the air with large imposing bustling cities covered a broad landscaping similar to all the continents of earth combined in a mega continent that stood as a city.

With it’s size you whole say it was the only city in the planet but you will be wrong other smaller cities were scattered across the vast planet, dense in population forest life was still preserved for the wild creatures of the planet.

The inhabitants of this planet didn’t always stay on this planet but been from an almost immortal expanding race some fractions of the main civilization left for other planets and a particular group found this planet named Savane.

They named themselves Zapiens and had a skin color of very weak scarlet with imbedded crystals on the back of their palms and forehead, the strength of an individual depended on the colour of their crystal, they grew as tall as humans and resembled them in every possible feature but were multiple times more intelligent, stronger and advanced.

Upon arriving on an unknown planet they were tasked with clearing the giant monstrosities that dwelled in the planet and set up their own civilization, built a formidable army and built advanced technologies to help with the harsh reality of their new environment.

They built a dome to protect from harsh stormy weather, a gravitational pull back generator to help against the gravitation affect on them and finally they created a triple layered ozone layer to protect from the super ultra violet rays of the planet’s neutron star.

After years of accomplishments they lived peacefully reaping the fruit of their hard labor, but they were always envied by their incompetent neighbors the Abiens.

" My lord they are urgent massages for you from our founding planet Tir29 " A Male attendant Zapien said to his superordinate. " Read it out let use hear what they have to say " He said with authority and pride.

" Brethren Ganuis Vanslidcnu,

This letter is the last you will hear from us as we were attacked and are in grievous danger. All the races of the upper five have connived and plotted against us.

Currently five of our foreign colonies have been vanquished by this great holocaust that we couldn’t foresee in the depths of all our intelligence so you are the last hope take the five chosen and send them to the underworldly planets were they will reproduce and keep us from extinction Thank—."

*BOOM!!!*

" It’s happening, Ragnarok has befallen us " the male attendant panicked with his hands on his forehead blocking his crystal from view.

" Pull your self together fool, although we were attacked ignorantly we aren’t called the strongest for nothing " Ganuis said covering his body with a semi solid liquid bearing an akin semblance to tar.

He tapped a screen on him armor and his palace disappeared, well it was him and his attendant that teleported, they now stood in the middle of a plain grassland, he assessed the situation carefully.

The planets atmosphere was covered with millions of spacecrafts. Through they wouldn’t win but they had to buy some time for the chosen to go a far distance were they couldn’t be tracked until they reached their destination.

The chosen were the newly born Zapiens that were tested to be stronger than than the older Zapiens, five in number they were to be sent to an alien planet at eight days old.

" Tell the nurses to prepare the babies and the astronomers to begin the extraction, finally get me the remaining soldiers that can fight, we will live a mark they won’t forget " Ganuis said before he flew to the spacecrafts.

" YOU CAN’T FIGHT THEM ALL ALONE MASTER!!! " His attendant shouted but he wasn’t heard from all the explosion and destruction that happened nearly immediately, at that moment he realized that a Zapien in it’s zenith could destroy a planet by flying through it.

Then he set off to the last standing citadel, bodies scattered across the cities with lazer burnt holes on them citadels turned into brimstone with occasional occurrences of zapiens falling out of them.

The Attendant ran at a frightening speed and within mini-seconds he was in a small imposing castle that stood at the extreme of the planet.

*****

" How is this possible, he doesn’t have the same skin color as us and he’s fore crystal has five individual colours " one of the four astronomers in the room said In awe.

" His father is the cosmic primordial, this boy mustn’t die put him in the capsule immediately " a female Zapien said but this one dressed differently, other than the overflown gowns the astronomers normally wear she wore a military armor similar to the one Ganuis wore.

* BANG *

A sixty inches thick door flung open and a creature that could be pictured as an ant in comparison of the door it just destroyed came to view when the smoke cleared, " What is the meaning of this Ura-zel " the Zapien in military uniform said as it was the messenger had finally arrived.

" Commander Lia-vud, supreme commander Ganuis Vanslidcnu has ordered the launching of the chosen " Ura-zel said urgently, * SIGH * " Begin the count... * BOOM * " before the commander could finish her command the roof of this gigantic castle was blown away.

The astronomers rushed to an under ground bunker as Lid-vud and Ura-zel began tanking spacecrafts that flew into the castle raining Lazer beams at them, some scientist worked breathtakingly on holographic screens which hovered above wrists watches they wore.

Meanwhile the astronomers wore some type of glasses that enabled them to see space from ground level, currently they checked a route in which the chosen could take to get away safely but found none, " Boost the speed of the crafts to a cosmic level to be able to escape the enemies " a female astronomer said.

Time wasn’t on their side anymore as the quaking ground began intensifying and the smell of deaths were all over the room, Ura-zel staggered to the bunker with half of his upper body carved out.

" The count down is proceeding " a scientist screamed before continuing his work, five children were kept floating in a circular green orb filled with a strange liquid that bubbled occasionally.

Ura-zel walking into the bunker looking like a walking corpse, the workers couldn’t stop to look at him as a heavy responsibility rested on their shoulders.

He walked to the middle orb which held a unique masterpiece of a powerhouse, " Ah Zare-ma would have loved to seen you for the last time " * VHOOOOOSH *, the engine powered up and a five small spacecrafts fabricated infront the orbs before robotic arms held them and placed each of them into an individual spacecraft.

" Represent us well you all " Ura-zel said with a bloody smile on his face as he plummeted to the ground dead and the spacecrafts shot into space at cosmic speed.
