Chapter 2087: Chapter 2288: Xiaohan Liang Is Here!!!

At the moment they heard Liang Xiaohan’s voice, both Hao Jian and Zhang Danlin froze at the same time. They had no idea that when they left school and got into the car, they were actually seen by Liang Xiaohan, and she saw everything very clearly.

If she hadn’t encountered a red light in the middle and been temporarily stuck in traffic losing track of them, Liang Xiaohan would have been here earlier. She eventually found this place and discovered that Hao Jian followed Zhang Danlin to the hotel to get a room. A single man and woman suddenly came to the hotel room together; it was obvious what they were up to.

Therefore, when she learned the news, she was furious beyond measure and rushed upstairs in a few angry strides, skipping the elevator for wasting time, and ran directly to knock on the door.

She was beyond angry now, as if she had "caught them in the act", suddenly uncovering such a secret. It turned out Hao Jian and Zhang Danlin were having an affair, no wonder their eyes were often odd when they looked at each other, they often shared food and drinks, and yesterday they almost let something slip under the influence of alcohol.

Suddenly she felt like she knew everything, but also felt deceived by Hao Jian for such a long time, only understanding today how much had happened behind her back. She was furious. Since the first time she met Hao Jian, she felt he wasn’t a good man and repeatedly stressed this to her cousin.

And in the end, she was right—Hao Jian really wasn’t a good man, fickle and deceitful, flirting around, and her cousin hadn’t been away from him for long before he was hitting it off with a young girl. Shameless! Sleazy! Pervert! Beast...instantly, numerous words popped into Liang Xiaohan’s mind to describe Hao Jian.

At this moment, she was pounding the door loudly, the noise resonating even into the rooms next door or across the hall. Hotel staff saw her with an intimidating expression and were instantly afraid.

They kind of understood what was going on, so observing the situation they dared not say a word and just watched from the side. Especially when Liang Xiaohan’s eyes looked over at them, they didn’t even dare to look back.

In their minds, they wondered which man was so unfaithful to have such a beautiful and fairy-like woman at home yet still cheat outside—truly human desire is insatiable, with the flags flying high at home while those outside flutter around.

Onlookers shook their heads and left. If they had such a beauty at home, they would certainly never cheat outside.

Hao Jian and Zhang Danlin were still inside while Liang Xiaohan was pounding on the door, already doing so for over thirty seconds. Initially stunned, they began to ponder why Liang Xiaohan appeared here, clearly seeming to confirm their presence.

Typically, it wouldn’t matter—just getting a room, what’s the big deal? But now the primary issue was there were only the two of them in the hotel, nobody else. As classes were about to start, a lone man and woman suddenly getting a room at a hotel clearly hinted at what they were doing.

"What should we do?!" Zhang Danlin displayed fear and anxiety on her face.

She had only intended to call Hao Jian over to discuss something, as it wasn’t convenient to talk at school, thus arranging for him to meet her here in this private room. However, the subsequent actions unfolded out of her control. Yet she never anticipated Liang Xiaohan would show up at this moment.

She wasn’t afraid of Liang Xiaohan; if she were, she wouldn’t have purposely arranged to talk with Hao Jian alone. But caught in such a scenario, it would be impossible to explain to Liang Xiaohan, jeopardizing not only her own reputation but also Hao Jian’s innocence, to the point explanations would seem futile.

Therefore, she panicked when she heard Liang Xiaohan’s voice, utterly stunned, left unsure of what to do.

Meanwhile, Hao Jian shared the same sentiment. How did Liang Xiaohan suddenly arrive, and how did she get here? They left directly from the school gates by car—did Liang Xiaohan see them back then? He was puzzled. Or, had Liang Xiaohan planted a listening device on him?

Thinking this, he shook his head. Liang Xiaohan might be headstrong, but she would certainly never resort to such measures—there must be some other leak. That was his thought.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" More fierce knocking was heard, with Liang Xiaohan shouting outside, "Hao Jian, come out. Don’t think I don’t know you’re in there. If you don’t come out today, don’t blame me for what I do."

Zhang Danlin anxiously sweated, unprepared for developments heading in this direction, reaching what seemed a dead-end with no options but to hide. Although hiding wasn’t feasible given the room’s size, and if searched, being found would lead to further complications.

Yet besides hiding, there seemed no other option, or they might open the door allowing Liang Xiaohan in, but once inside how would they explain their presence? Her mind was chaotic, uncertain what actions to take.

At this juncture, Hao Jian forced himself to calmly deliberate on any viable solution. Opening the door was out of the question; if Liang Xiaohan found only him and Zhang Danlin inside, things could erupt, and this must be avoided. Hiding was impractical inside the room; once she entered and saw nobody, she would search everywhere, leaving no place to conceal.

Then Hao Jian glanced toward the window. Earlier, while drinking water, he noticed it—a small-window room, though having a window it only faced a wall without a view, with another window further along the wall.

This design was the hotel’s cost-saving measure, but in such cramped quarters where outsiders wouldn’t spot him, Hao Jian could hide outside without falling or facing danger.

An idea struck him, leading Hao Jian to tell Zhang Danlin, "Alright, I’ve got a plan."

With that, he headed to the window planning to open it and climb outside. Zhang Danlin assumed he had a strategy, but seeing the danger, her eyebrows furrowed with concern; she rushed over, grabbing Hao Jian.

"Too dangerous, you can’t do this. If worse comes to worst, we should open the door; after all, we’ve done nothing wrong, so what’s to be scared of!" Zhang Danlin spoke, albeit unsurely.

Hao Jian smiled reassuringly, telling her, "Don’t worry, I won’t get hurt. Once I’m ready, open the door."

Despite Hao Jian’s words, Zhang Danlin remained uneasy. This was the exterior of a window; a single misstep could result in a fall—and though not too high, it was still nine storeys, and a fall from such a height would likely be fatal.

Thus, she was overly concerned about Hao Jian, unable to let him take such a risk, preferring to open the door to Liang Xiaohan rather than let Hao Jian take such peril.

Yet, at that instance, pounding continued relentlessly, escalating to suggest Liang Xiaohan might break down the door if it remained shut. Seeing this, Zhang Danlin’s expression turned anxious.

"Open up quickly, or I’ll break the door down!" Zhang Danlin shouted loudly.

Others heard this, surprised at such fight from a seemingly delicate-looking girl. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"Open the door quick!" urged Hao Jian.

Unexpectedly, Zhang Danlin, previously hesitant about Hao Jian hiding outside, now ran to open the door upon hearing his urging, feeling instinctively that failing to open it might lead to Liang Xiaohan truly breaking in, which would be awkward.

She glanced back as Hao Jian hid himself, took a breath, and twisted the knob, opening the door.

Upon opening, she saw Liang Xiaohan’s angry face at the entrance.

Once the door was open, Liang Xiaohan barged in without saying a word, full of fury, quickly bypassing her and beginning to search the room.

After not finding Hao Jian, she checked under the bed, went to the bathroom, inspecting every conceivable hiding spot—but ultimately, Hao Jian was nowhere to be found.

Then, furrowing her brow, she recalled losing track of Hao Jian initially but spotting the car he was in with Zhang Danlin on the road, swiftly getting off and asking the driver where they went.

The driver initially didn’t respond, citing passenger privacy, but under her coercion, still divulged this address.
