Chapter 1044: You are not my rivals

A young man with the characteristic red hair of the Morgan family led a large group of Awakened Ones. Most of them were members of the Defenders Guild.

He is Octavian Primus Morgan, the current Leader of the Defenders Guild and the direct heir of the Morgan family.

There were six other young and attractive Awakened Ones standing next to him. Irene, Arslan, and the others recognized them as the other direct heirs of the great families of the Big Seven.

They were all Golden-ranked Awakened Ones and led their own Guilds, which were sponsored by their wealthy families.

Octavian, as if sensing their gaze, held their attention for a moment, and then turned away with a polite but cold smile. The other six heirs mimicked his gesture, studying the Kingdom group with undisguised interest.

There were two girls among them, and their presence immediately attracted Arslan’s attention, but Irene only glanced at them and lost interest. Right now, what was happening inside the Dungeon and the next rule changes were much more important than exchanging sharp glances with the high-born Awakened Ones.

With Prina on their side, few would risk getting too close. Irene was sure that even Octavian and the others, if they wanted to start a conversation, would first think ten times before proceeding to action.

Yulaya’s unexpected question distracted her from watching the broadcast.:

“Do you think they’re going to enter the dungeon?”

Arslan thought about it and replied:

“I doubt it. They are not just Awakened Ones, but the future heads of their families. And they value their reputation very much. The Gatekeepers have already shown that Golden Rank Awakened Ones are useless, so they won’t risk dying in front of everyone.”

The others nodded, agreeing with his opinion, but suddenly noticed a devious smile playing on Arslan’s face.

“If Octavian really dares to enter the dungeon, and if my sister and brother-in-law are really the Gatekeepers, then I don’t envy him.”

As he said this, he noticed that everyone was looking at him in disbelief.

“Octavian and my sister, despite being from the same family, don’t have a very good relationship.”

“You could say they’re even hostile.”

“What do you think my sister will do to him in the form of this crazy dragoness?”

Everyone immediately had an image of the jealous and deadly dragoness who had killed them all not so long ago, and the girls’ skin crawled.

If it really was Arabel, they could imagine that she would not have killed Octavian right away, but would have staged a showdown, as she had done to them, but crueler and humiliating.

“You or me?” Arabel turned to Idan and noticed that her husband was lost in thought again.

She liked this trait of his very much, but sometimes it caused some irritation.

“Dan,” she called, startling him out of his reverie.

However, before she could ask what he was thinking, he said:

“I’ll go myself.”

With that, Idan stood up and headed out of the castle.

“Was he really thinking about other girls?” Arabel thought briefly, but she immediately dismissed it. “No, my Dan is not like that, don’t try to mess with my head, damn bloodline!”

With Idan gone, she immersed herself back into watching the broadcast and reading the comments.

At the edge of the sinister forest, twenty Platinum-ranked Beasts explored the surroundings without splitting up and maintaining unity.

When the protective time was up, their attention was attracted by the powerful fluctuations of the force, and they noticed the approach of a mighty being. It turned out to be Idan, who possesses huge bloody wings created from the blood of his previous victims.

Despite the fear and obvious superiority of the enemy, the beasts did not flinch and did not give up resistance. Even when the colossal pressure of the Soul Force, surpassing the capabilities of any Platinum-ranked being, fell on them and pinned them to the ground, they resisted.

A multitude of bloody spears appeared behind Idan, aiming at all the beasts. With a wave of his hand, he sent them on the attack, and they fell on the opponents, kicking up clouds of dust and dirt in the air.

——————

{Damn, he’s so cool! He defeated 20 beasts at once!}

{Amazing!}

{I wonder if anyone is capable of defeating them?}

{Ahh… my beloved!}

{They are too powerful. And you know, I love it!}

——————

“Tsch!” — Arabel clicked her tongue in annoyance, reading the comments until she noticed that when the dust settled, all 20 beasts were still alive.

Her husband’s bloody spears pierced into the ground, stopping a millimeter away from the beasts’ heads.

The fury with which the beasts had resisted before had disappeared, and now they stared in disbelief at the bloody monster soaring in the sky.

In the sky, Idan thought for a moment. He had already studied the rules of the dungeon well and realized that it was not necessary to kill all the challengers. Their main goal is to prevent anyone from passing through the gate. So, killing opponents is just one of the possible ways to achieve the goal.

Moreover, the true gates will only open when they are Gatekeepers who die or surrender voluntarily. If they continue to hold back the next waves without destroying them completely, then in ten minutes the next group will enter. And then everything will start to snowball until the arena turns into chaos.

In addition, the beasts were the most ignorant and humiliated of all the challengers. They didn’t have a System, they didn’t understand what was going on inside, and they were simply sent to their deaths to get information. The thought made Idan feel a little sorry for them.

And that’s when he came up with the idea. But the rules didn’t say that he couldn’t poach challengers to his side.

“You are not my rivals,” Idan stated coldly.

“It doesn’t matter how many of you there are — twenty, thirty, fifty, a hundred or a thousand, you can’t beat me.”

“Especially since I’m not the only one here.”

The beasts were aware of his words. They knew they couldn’t defeat him, but they didn’t want to give up without a fight.

Taking advantage of their confusion, Idan suggested:

“How would you like to join me?”
