Chapter 1036: It’s my turn now, isn’t it?
{Hey! Hey! What happened?}
{What is that red lightning?}
{What killed them?}
{Wow, how cruel!}
{So much blood!}
…
Hundreds of comments simultaneously appeared under Coco’s broadcast after Idan attacked, and the terrible bloody death of the beasts.
The video quality was excellent, but even so, no one had time to see what exactly happened, except for the bloody lightning.
Even Irene, the Platinum-ranked Awakened One, couldn’t pick up on her brother’s movements.
After the beasts died, the screen went dark, but soon returned to the entrance to the dungeon. To the surprise of many, three of the beasts that had previously entered and died flew out.
There was no blood, and, most surprisingly, their bodies were unharmed. Although their condition left much to be desired, they were still convulsing, unconscious.
“They’re all alive,” everyone concluded after checking the condition of the beasts.
Thanks to Coco’s broadcast, the Awakened Ones, unlike the others, clearly saw the death of the Beasts.
“So death inside the dungeon doesn’t mean real death,” they quickly realized.
And this information spread rapidly among all those present.
Although this news made everyone happy and dispelled many fears, looking at the condition of the beasts and the consequences of their false death, the fears still have not completely disappeared.
“Next,” said the Lord of the Domain of Saints, turning her gaze to the group of the Federation and the Awakened.

“Has Coco left the dungeons?” — Arabel raised an eyebrow in surprise when the broadcast switched to the events at the entrance to the dungeons.
“Dan was right. This place really looks like a Simularium. If someone dies here, they don’t really die-they’re just thrown out of the dungeon…”
Arabel’s face broke into an excited smile, mixed with relief. The fear that they might kill not only powerful beings needed by the world, but also their loved ones, has dissipated.
There was nothing holding them back now.
However, there was still the question of Coco.
“How’s it going?” asked Idan, returning.
Arabel shared her observations, including Coco.
“Hmm… I wonder if Coco herself was even inside the dungeon?” wondered Idan. “What if she wasn’t there, and she used some other way to keep an eye on those who entered?”
The more they thought about it, the more it seemed to them that this was the case.
Neither of them knew exactly how Coco recorded and transmitted the video. She could do this with her eyes, or she had some special devices similar to her favorite camera.
Soon, the ten-minute interval allotted for the first group ended.
Dong!
A gong sounded, announcing the arrival of a new group.
“It’s my turn now, isn’t it?” Arabel said with a smile, standing up and winking. She headed towards the castle’s exit, simultaneously using her soul powers to find the applicants who had appeared.
“Oh!” — Arabel’s surprise turned to a playful smile when she discovered as many as fifteen Gold—ranked Awakened Ones.
Idan watched his wife go, sat down on the throne and began to follow the broadcast.
As before, the broadcast switched to the fifteen Awakened Ones who had just entered the gate.

[Ding! You have entered the arena of the temporary Dungeon Opening event]
[Host’s Task: Defeat The Gatekeepers]
All fifteen Awakened Ones who appeared in the arena received notifications from their Systems.
When they saw the gloomy arena and the distant Gothic castle with their own eyes, they experienced a completely different feeling than when watching the broadcasts. Even knowing that death here did not mean final death, some of them began to tremble in fear and panic, remembering the pitiful deaths of the beasts.
Unlike the beasts, they were only Gold-ranked. How could they hope to deal with a creature that had already dealt with three Platinum-ranked creatures?
None of them hoped for survival.
Everyone knew they were going to die.
Their task was to try to gather as much information as possible about the Gatekeepers.
As ordered, they split into three groups of five and quickly dispersed around the arena. Everyone wanted to buy as much time as possible and, if possible, hold out for 10 minutes to wait for the next group, where there would definitely be creatures of Platinum rank and higher.
“I have less than ten minutes, so let’s get down to business, Belle. Let’s not keep Dan waiting,” Arabel said, closing her eyes. With her Soul Power, she pinpointed the location of each group and activated a new ability that she received along with the new Dragon bloodline.
Dark clouds began to gather over the three groups of five Awakened, and soon a drizzling rain fell on everyone.
“What the? Rain?” the Awakened Ones were surprised, raising their heads. And at that moment, they made the biggest mistake.
Because what was falling on them wasn’t ordinary rain.
It was rain created by combining the elements of Space and water, where space played a key role.
Falling, the water droplets, instead of crashing against the awakened one’s body, continued on their way without losing speed or changing their trajectory. They pierced through the body, leaving only thin holes in their wake.
For the first few seconds, none of the Awakened Ones understood what was happening. Only then did they realize that, despite the rain, they didn’t feel wet. And then everyone started experiencing itching first, and then a growing pain that engulfed their entire bodies.
All the Awakened fell to the ground in agony. Their torment did not last long, and soon the screams subsided, leaving only the sound of still drizzling rain.
Before their consciousness faded, they heard notifications from their Systems.
[You died at the hands of the Mad Dragon Queen]
Arabel opened her eyes and blinked in disbelief, realizing the power and effectiveness of her ability.
“It’s a pity that this ability only works against creatures whose rank is one lower than mine,”
Arabel was aware that otherwise this ability might have become too powerful.
Standing up and making sure that there was still time, she took a step and disappeared, appearing at the entrance to the castle. Her gaze fell on her husband, who looked perfect on the throne in the form of a vampire. Looking at this image, she was slightly lost in her dreams.

Outside the Dungeon, all 15 defeated Awakened Ones were thrown out of the gate at the same time, before even half of their allotted 10-minute time had passed.
Everyone who witnessed this event was trying to figure out what caused their deaths based on the video of their deaths.
Everyone came to the conclusion that the rain was the cause.
But how could ordinary rain kill them?
