Chapter 1120: Chapter 1119: Assault

She remembered feeling fortunate at the time, at least Ba Lvluo was her friend now, not her enemy.

Otherwise, with such an enemy, Jiang Cheng probably couldn’t even sleep peacefully.

So, Yanran is not particularly worried about Ba Lvluo now, apart from extremely cold weather, she believes nothing can threaten her.

Moreover, Yanran knows Ba Lv also loves these flowers and plants. If she can bring these plants back to the spaceship, Ba Lv would also think it’s a right decision.

"Teacher, I’ll be fine soon, just give me a moment," Yanran said to Jiang Cheng.

Not far from her, there was a large cluster of flowers blooming in full. Yanran wanted to see if she could transplant these flowers onto the spaceship.

The thought of the mundane space inside the spaceship becoming warmer and different because of these plants makes Yanran smile unintentionally.

She imagined proudly that if Ba Lv were to see it, he would definitely shout "Wow!" loudly.

Her teacher, though he would smile and shake his head, showing disapproval of her tinkering with these small things, would secretly think it’s a nice idea.

She stepped towards the cluster of flowers in full bloom.

There was still a short distance left when she was hit by the strong scent of the flowers, which left Yanran a bit disappointed. Such a strong aroma wouldn’t be liked by Jiang Cheng or Ba Lv, even she dislikes it.

Just as Yanran hesitated whether to take a closer look at the flowers, the ground beneath her feet began to shake suddenly.

Before Yanran realized what was happening, a huge monster launched an attack towards her.

Fortunately, Jiang Cheng was vigilant at a distance. He timely spotted the worm-like creature, and a protective shield promptly appeared around Yanran.

With a thud, the giant worm bumped into Yanran, knocking her away.

Jiang Cheng quickly arrived, reaching out to catch Yanran’s body in mid-air.

"Are you alright?" Jiang Cheng asked Yanran, confident in his protective shield’s capability.

Yanran was about to answer when the ground quaked again, as the enormous worm emerged from below, using its powerful body as a weapon, approaching them.

Jiang Cheng swiftly dodged, intending to put Yanran aside and deal with the worm. Then Yanran spoke.

"Let me handle it!"

Without waiting for Jiang Cheng’s response, Yanran darted forward from his side.

Jiang Cheng had no choice but to step aside, watching his female disciple engage the massive worm.

Externally resembling a worm, it was several thousand times larger than usual.

Though lacking other attack methods, its stout body was undoubtedly the best weapon.

Moreover, the giant worm always attacked from underground, causing substantial tremors right underneath, making it tough for anyone to stand firm.

Taking advantage of the delay in the worm’s retreat underground following its attack, Yanran charged in front of it, fiercely clawing its body with steel talons.

The worm received severe injuries from Yanran, twisting violently, and retreated underground.

"Even a worm is bullying me!" Yanran thought furiously.

"You think I’m a sick cat just because I’ve been quiet?"

She held her breath, listening closely to the movements underground, knowing these creatures wouldn’t concede after suffering such a setback.

Jiang Cheng and Yanran discovered a cave, suspecting Ba Lvluo had fallen into it from their observations.

Hence, they entered the cave and ultimately found traces of Ba Lv’s movements within.

While searching for Ba Lvluo, they encountered attacks from monsters.

Yanran waited patiently for the giant worm to resurface.

A tremor came from below, signaling the worm’s imminent attack.

Yanran leapt away from her previous spot.

The tremor ceased.

Yanran wondered why the worm suddenly halted its attack.

Her feet felt another tremor.

Yanran understood. If she left her spot too early, the worm wouldn’t emerge.

It would locate her new standing spot and launch an attack from there.

Meaning Yanran couldn’t move prematurely from her standing place, she had to wait until the giant worm was about to surface before moving.

She inwardly cursed the peculiar attack method, considering it bizarre and contemplating cooperation to eliminate it.

Yanran’s judgment proved correct. Though tremors continued, she stood her ground this time.

As the tremor intensified, just as the giant worm was breaking through, Yanran flipped sideways from her standing spot.

In a split second, the worm surfaced from her previous spot, finding no target. Just as it considered retreating, Yanran approached it.

Though its skin was tough, under Yanran’s indomitable claws, it was still susceptible to damage. However, its enormous size allowed it to endure for a short period.

After enduring several hits from Yanran, the worm fled underground again.

"Need my help?" Jiang Cheng called out to Yanran from afar.

The time-consuming attacks of the giant worm were frustrating. If it failed to detect Yanran’s presence, it wouldn’t emerge; only upon pinpointing her location would it attack, and leaving too early wasn’t viable — an absurd method indeed.

Yanran gestured to her teacher, signaling she could handle the worm without assistance.

Jiang Cheng knew Yanran’s fiery character well; she was strong-willed, particularly having just been struck by the ugly worm.

Rajmed would never willingly let its opponent escape after suffering a loss.

This enemy needed to be eliminated personally, using someone else’s skills was shameful in her martial practices.

She might as well buy a block of tofu to crash into if considering that!

Even if it were her teacher, she wouldn’t accept his help.

As soon as the worm reappeared, Yanran had already evaded its gaze, attacking from behind.

This time, Yanran was exceptionally brutal, intending to finish the worm quickly after grasping its attack pattern.

The worm anticipated in its fruitless search, while Yanran, hiding behind it, swiftly thrust her hands forward, inserting her sharp claws into its body.

Feeling the assault, the worm twisted to remove Yanran’s claws, and Yanran exerted her arms, inhaling deeply and yelled, "Ha!"
