Chapter 1116: Chapter 1115: Counterattack

Although in a completely unfamiliar environment, Ba Lv was not in a hurry.

Being anxious doesn’t help anything; this is something she had learned as an assassin.

She didn’t know where the way out was, but she couldn’t just stand still.

So, unconsciously, she proceeded along the trail left by the White Wolf.

"All roads lead to Rome," she once heard her teacher say, and she curiously asked her teacher what this meant.

Jiang Cheng told her that the path to success isn’t limited to the ones you see; as long as you have the will, you will find many ways to achieve your goals.

At that time, after listening to her teacher, Ba Lv had an epiphany. Now in this unfamiliar place, Jiang Cheng’s words came back to her.

The deeper she walked, the less cold it became. Around her, various plants began to appear gradually; besides the low bushes, some trees also began to appear.

Among these plants, many small animals constantly appeared here, attracting some carnivorous animals.

However, these carnivorous animals were not very large. Although a few creatures foolishly regarded Ba Lv as prey, they ended up dead beneath Ba Lv’s sword.

Ba Lv searched for the traces left by the White Wolf along the way. As an assassin, she had great skills in tracking, and although the White Wolf’s scent and footprints were often faint, it could not escape her.

Now she was deep into the cave.

Suddenly, the previously lively little animals in the forest began to flee in panic.

Almost in an instant, the heated woods turned into a deathly silence.

Ba Lv quickly found a place to hide and promptly concealed her aura.

Though she didn’t know what creature was about to appear or how fierce it might be, she knew it was better to be cautious.

In Ba Lv’s line of sight, a black dot slowly rose from afar and rapidly enlarged.

As that creature entered the woods where Ba Lvluo was, Ba Lv couldn’t help but suck in a breath of cold air.

It was a Flying Dragon.

And it was a Flying Dragon unlike any Ba Lv had ever known.

It had a massive body and giant wings, and most crucially, this Flying Dragon had two heads.

According to the knowledge she gained from books, Ba Lv knew that some creatures were inherently powerful, and if they underwent mutations, they could only be described as terrifying.

The dual-headed Flying Dragon before her was precisely such a creature.

Yet, the Dragon did not linger in the woods; after circling above, it spread its wings and flew in another direction.

Ba Lvluo felt a stir in her heart; that was the direction where the White Wolf was.

After hesitating for a while, she decided to follow and take a look.

After all, she had nothing else to do at the moment.

The Flying Dragon’s body was enormous, and Ba Lvluo merely had to watch it from a distance, without ever losing sight of it due to its size.

The previously appearing White Wolf had left a deep impression on Ba Lv.

The White Wolf’s coat was pure white, without a speck of impurity, and combined with its tall stature, it appeared both majestic and intimidating, especially with those blue eyes that seemed to have the power to see through everything.

Perhaps it was due to this reason that Ba Lvluo couldn’t forget the White Wolf.

It seemed in this area, the Flying Dragon was an extremely ferocious presence; almost every animal fled at the sight of its silhouette.

Without the disturbance of these animals, Ba Lvluo saved a lot of trouble along the way.

When Ba Lvluo watched the Flying Dragon dive from mid-air, she quickened her pace.

On an open clearing, a White Wolf was confronting the Flying Dragon, and Ba Lv watched from afar, worried for the White Wolf.

While one cannot always generalize, in nature, larger creatures often hold a significant advantage.

And the White Wolf before her, although much larger than typical wolf species, was still far smaller compared to the Flying Dragon.

However, confronted with a powerful foe, the White Wolf showed no fear. It let out a low growl, lowered its head, and bent its back, adopting a stance ready for battle.

Flying Dragons are impulsive creatures. Facing the defensive White Wolf, it did not delay its attack.

After flapping a few times, the Flying Dragon ascended, stretching its neck, opening its jaws, and hurling a ball of flame at the White Wolf.

The White Wolf nimbly leaped aside.

Facing an airborne strong enemy, the White Wolf’s position was quite unfavorable.

Ba Lvluo couldn’t understand why, in such circumstances, the White Wolf didn’t choose to flee but instead chose to challenge such a powerful Flying Dragon.

Let alone if it was a Magic Flying Dragon, even if the Flying Dragon didn’t use its magic and merely fought the White Wolf physically, the White Wolf might not stand a chance.

But the White Wolf just wouldn’t retreat.

Although it didn’t have a good way to defeat its airborne enemy, it continuously maneuvered on the ground against the Flying Dragon.

Relying on its nimble movements, the Flying Dragon’s fireballs were always dodged, which provided Ba Lv a slight sense of relief.

Though she didn’t know whether the Flying Dragon or the White Wolf was more sinister, as a girl, she tended to favor those things with a bright appearance.

The White Wolf before her was precisely such a beautiful creature.

Thus, Ba Lv unwittingly found herself siding with it, silently cheering for it in her heart.

Watching as its attacks didn’t land, the Flying Dragon became furious, spewing fireballs towards the White Wolf one after another.

As the Flying Dragon accelerated its attack rhythm, the White Wolf’s evasive maneuvers became increasingly strained.

Inside the cave, Ba Lv had found a beautiful White Wolf, and it seemed to possess a magical allure to her, leading her, unconsciously, deeper into the cave.

A fierce Flying Dragon, for some unknown reason, had engaged in battle with the White Wolf, and Ba Lv watched the fight between these two creatures from a distance.

As a young girl, she silently rooted for the incredibly alluring White Wolf, hoping it could prevail against its opponent.

The Flying Dragon’s relentless attacks made it harder for the White Wolf to dodge. Its originally snowy white coat was now stained with dust and smoke, yet against the Flying Dragon in mid-air, it seemingly had no good approach and could only keep evading its aggression.

The Flying Dragon’s flame attacks weren’t endless; continually spewing fireballs began to wear on it.

Thus, it altered its method of attack, exploiting its height advantage, repeatedly swooping down from mid-air to strike at the White Wolf with its sharp claws.

The White Wolf began its counterattack.

Although it remained in a passive position, faced with the Flying Dragon’s new method of attack, it now had a chance to retaliate.

Utilizing the terrain dotted with large rocks in the clearing, whenever the Flying Dragon attacked from above, the White Wolf swiftly dashed a few steps, leapt onto the rocks, and using their elevation, lunged towards the Flying Dragon.
