Chapter 946: Why Did You Ignore It?
[Jadar Royal Castle]
Jason appeared inside one of the inner bedrooms in the royal castle, and he looked around the dark room calmly. The only source of light was the faint glow of the moon shining through the window, and it allowed Jason to see a figure lying alone on a large bed.
Agiel looked like an angel bathing in the light of the moon! Her white hair fell around her like a halo, and the white gown she wore was loose enough to show a lot of cleavage. Agiel’s long pale legs and toned belly were visible under the translucent gown, and Jason could see that she was only wearing panties under the gown. Jason’s eyes trailed across Agiel’s body for a moment before he let out a calm huff as he moved towards the bed and leaned over Agiel.
"Hey, wake up."
Agiel’s face scrunched up into a frown as she muttered in her sleep. Agiel turned around so she was lying on her back, and her loose breasts bounced with her movement. Jason ignored that movement easily as he knelt and touched Agiel’s shoulder and told her to wake up again. Agiel’s eyes fluttered open, and she slowly focused on Jason’s face. For a moment, Agiel didn’t move at all, and Jason had already expected her to lash out at him for sneaking into her room like this. But Jason was surprised when Agiel suddenly reached up to grab Jason’s face in her hands, and Agiel pulled Jason down into an intense kiss!
"Mmh~!"
Agiel moaned into the kiss as she wrapped her hand around Jason’s neck and tried to pull him down on top of her! Agiel opened her legs, and she wanted to trap Jason between them, but Jason put his hand on Agiel’s shoulder and quickly pushed her back.
"What the hell are you doing?"
Jason frowned in anger, and Agiel’s brow furrowed in surprise when she heard Jason’s voice. Jason could almost see the gears moving in Agiel’s head for a few seconds, but in the next moment, Agiel’s eyes widened, and she moved back quickly with a shocked gasp!
"You’re real!?"
Agiel looked genuinely shocked to see Jason there, and Jason realised that Agiel must’ve thought this was some sort of dream. How many times had Agiel had this particular dream for her to dive into a kiss the moment she saw him!? Jason let out a small sigh, and he could see the emotions on Agiel’s face changing quickly from shock to embarrassment and finally to anger! Agiel glared at Jason angrily and barked at him!
"What the hell are you doing here!?"
"I came to talk to you."
"Talk to me!?"
Agiel’s anger somehow became even more intense when she heard that, and she grit her teeth so hard that they creaked from the force! Agiel got off her bed, so she was standing in front of Jason, and she glared up at him with intensity.
"Leave."
It was an absolute order spoken without any room for argument, and Jason took a step forward.
"Agiel."
"I said get out now!"
Jason let out a calm sigh.
"I just want to know what happened. Why’d you leave Earth? Why didn’t you let me know you were going?"
"What did I leave!?"
Agiel’s anger suddenly exploded as she took a step towards Jason! Agiel’s dress was thin and transparent enough for Jason to see everything underneath since she wasn’t wearing a bra, but the only thing Jason could focus on at that time was the fury in her eyes!
Agiel jabbed her finger at Jason’s chest!
"You have no right to ask me why I left! Not after you abandoned me when I needed you! I... I needed you! I needed you, and you weren’t there! You abandoned me, just like your father abandoned my mother! So don’t you dare ask me why I left, you bastard!"
There were tears in Agiel’s eyes at this point, but the expression on her face was filled with pure rage! Jason grit his teeth, and for the first time in a long time, he could feel a surge of anger rising from his chest as well! None of this made sense to Jason, and Jason hated the fact that everyone around him acted like there was some big secret that they couldn’t tell him about!
"What the fuck do you want from me, Agiel!?"
Jason grabbed Agiel by the shoulder as he got down to her face and seethed at her in anger!
"What the hell do you want me to do!? I don’t get it! I don’t understand any of this! You keep telling me that there’s something I’m meant to give you, but you never say what it is! You tell me I’m your soul mate, but you don’t explain what that means! I don’t get any of this!"
"You were meant to accept that feeling!"
Agiel grabbed Jason’s shirt and pulled him down in her own anger! The two of them were so close now that there was barely any space between them, and anyone who entered the room and saw them standing this close with the moon shining down on them would think that they were in the middle of a lovers’ quarrel! Agiel’s anger was almost like a physical thing at this point, and she was still glaring at Jason, but Jason could see the pain in her eyes as she yelled in a low voice!
"That feeling in your heart anytime you saw me! That pain in your chest! You were meant to accept it! I know you felt it too! I know it was there! You were meant to explore it with me! You were meant to come and find me! But you didn’t want to do that! You didn’t care about me enough to even ask me what that feeling was! You chose your duty over me! You chose your other women over me!"
Tears fell down Agiel’s face, and she was breathing heavily right now! Agiel wasn’t a stranger to this story. This was history repeating itself all over again, and Agiel knew she shouldn’t be surprised since this had also happened to her mother! But Agiel had hoped that things would be different for her. She really thought that she had a chance of avoiding the same fate as her mother!
Jason stared down at Agiel’s face, and he could feel that intense connection that he always felt coming back in full force! It felt like Jason and Agiel were tied together by some unknown force, and Jason ran a hand over his face and let out a sigh to calm himself before he said.
"How about we do it now?"
Agiel frowned.
"What?"
"I said, how about we do it now? That feeling you’re talking about, let’s talk about it. Just... just tell me what you need from me. Tell me how I can help you."
Agiel stared up into Jason’s eyes, and she felt a sharp pain in her chest when she sensed the genuine emotion flowing from him! Jason really wanted to help her, and he was ready to figure things out with her at that moment! Agiel felt her tears falling even more, and she grit her teeth and turned away as an intense anger filled her body! Why did it have to be now!? Why wasn’t he willing to do this the last time they spoke!? Why did he have to wait until she had already made up her mind!?
Agiel closed her eyes tight, and she spoke to Jason in a low voice.
"It’s too late now, Jason. It’s too late... I’m – I’m getting married."
Stab!
Jason felt a strange pain somewhere in his heart, like someone had just stabbed him in his chest with a knife, and Jason didn’t understand why those words hurt him so much!
