Chapter 901: I Do Not Support This

"Hahahahah! Katya! I like this one! He’s strong!"

The blindfolded man turned to look at the armless woman with a wide smile! Just from this handshake alone, the blindfolded man could tell that Jason wasn’t someone he could even dare to challenge! The power in Jasn’s arm was immeasurable!

The armless woman gave a disapproving glare before speaking.

"Please try to maintain decorum in front of the Overlord, F’yame. We are here for a purpose, and I will not tolerate you inciting a fight and distracting us from our goal."

Jason could immediately tell that this woman was a very uptight person, and she was usually in charge of keeping F’yame in check. F’yame turned to Jason with an exasperated look while pointing a thumb back at Katya.

"Sorry about her, she doesn’t know how to have any fun. They call her the vibe killer of the sixth domain. I feel bad that you’re going to have to deal with that from now on, so if you need any tips on how to deal with her, just let me know."

Jason actually scoffed in amusement, and he grinned when he saw Katya giving F’yame an even more annoyed look! Jason had already been briefed about these two. Both F’yame and Katya were members of the council of Elder Worlds as well. F’yame came from a world of flame users called Soroch, and Katya came from a world of Psychics called Tabigam. They were both TITAN Rank II mages, and their worlds were Rank III worlds, which had contributed enough during the Period of Lawlessness to be recognized by the council as Elder Worlds! Katya was a very strong-willed, no-nonsense person, but F’yame was very free-spirited, and he reminded Jason of the biker gang members on Earth.

Katya and F’yame looked like they were about to get into an even longer argument, but they were both forced to hold their tongues as the final person finally spoke up.

"Katya, F’yame. Try to remember where you are. I apologise for their actions. They are only a few centuries old, so they have not yet matured enough. My name is Ragran, lord of the dwarven race on Casras. It’s an honour to be hosted by the Overlord, but I would like you to know that I am one of those who do not approve of your appointment as the Overlord. You might possess the strength, but I believe you and your world are too young to lead our domain. I believe it is best you understand my stance first so that there will be no misunderstandings between us."

There was some murmuring amongst the soldiers gathered when they heard what Ragran said. It was something completely unexpected, and many of them wondered what Ragran was trying to do by saying something like that! Katya and F’yame didn’t look surprised by what Ragran had said, and Jason just assumed that this was the sort of man he was. Jason never expected everyone to be in support of his appointment, and Jason actually appreciated the fact that Ragran was bold enough to come out and say his mind without holding anything back! Ragran was also a TITAN Rank II, so the fact that Ragran was talking to a PRIMORDIAL Rank like Jason so freely showed that Ragran was not the sort of person to hide his real intentions.

Jason extended his hand to Ragran with a small nod.

"I hope we can find a way to work together regardless of your opinions about me."

Ragran was a little surprised to see Jason’s reaction to his words, but Ragran didn’t allow his surprise to stop him as he stretched his hand out and shook Jason’s hand. Jason smiled.

"Welcome to Earth. It’s a pleasure to host you all. Now, I believe we have a lot to talk about. Follow me."

Jason turned and began walking into the building, and the three leaders followed after him. Cersai and Juliet were walking ahead of the entire group, and they led everyone to a large meeting room that had a large oval table with twenty chairs arranged around it. The guards that came here with Katya and Ragran were told to stay outside with the other Gaia Agents while the leaders had their meeting! Jason sat at the head of the table with Cersai and Juliet sitting to his left and right. Lord Ragran sat beside Cersai to Jason’s right with one of his dwarven aides, and Katya and F’yame were sitting on either side of the table. Once they sat down, Lord Ragran immediately got down to business.

"Firstly, I’d like to congratulate you on your appointment as the Overlord. I understand that you won this seat through your own power and ingenuity, and after hearing the news of how the selection was carried out, I can only applaud how you handled that situation. I understand Earth is currently going through a transition period where it is trying to amass enough power to raise its world rank to III, but I hope you won’t allow that to stop you from carrying out your duties as the Overlord."

Jason was leaning back in his seat and listening calmly, and he said nothing even after Ragran was done with his speech. Jason could understand why Ragran was saying all this. Back when Rubik was the Overlord, Rubik had neglected a lot of his work and left it to the Elder Worlds to handle, but from what Jason could see here, it was obvious that there were some things the Elder Worlds just were not able to do on their own. If the members of the Elder Worlds were only this strong, then Jason was sure that the members of their race would be even weaker. Right now, the Elder Worlds were basically testing Jason to see if he was willing to help them or if he was going to be like Rubik.

Jason nodded for Ragran to continue, and Ragran hummed as he turned to Katya.

Katya’s eyes widened and glowed with a bright green light, and Jason was surprised when he saw a holographic image appear in the middle of the table. The image was of a barren landscape with multiple people dragging their feet around with their heads bowed. They looked almost like zombies! The hologram panned out to reveal that there were millions of people who had gone through the same thing, and then it shifted to show those zombies heading towards a large tower in the distance that had a bright light shining from the top.

Katya spoke up.

"This is the world known as Hondura. It had once been a prosperous world filled with powerful mages, but recently, a witch has been terrorizing the world using dark magic. The people of Hondura have fought back against the witch for nearly ten years now, but they don’t stand a chance against her. For some reason, the witch makes sure not to wipe out the people, and she is dragging out this battle while constantly drawing in more people from various parts of the world to add to her army of mindless monsters."

Jason hummed.

"Have any of you ever met this witch?"

The leaders all looked at each other, and F’yame frowned slightly as he said.

"She’s too strong for us to get close to her. Her powers allow her to keep constant vigilance over the entire world, so the moment any of our troops get close, they are attacked and killed by her army. We believe she might be in the upper level of TITAN Rank II, but it could also be that her soldiers were magically modified to make them stronger."

Ragran continued from here.

"We brought this case before Rubik years ago, but we were turned away because he believed it was beneath him to deal with this, and we’ve had to carry out constant damage control to make sure she didn’t affect too many worlds around her. If we could deal with this on our own, we would’ve done so already. But I think the best person for the job might be the Overlord himself."
