Chapter 892: Another Knight Rank Subordinate
’Adversity breeds strength.’
Jason tightened his hand into a fist as Farlow’s words came back to him again, and Jason nodded at his decision before he finally turned to his left and narrowed his eyes as he sensed the battle that was still going on between the Bengari warrior women and his Legion on the other side of the island. The Legion was still fighting strong, but they were having a hard time since the Bengari were warriors who were used to being on the battlefield.
The Bengari were mainly made up of TITAN Rank I’s, with a few of them being as strong as TITAN Rank II’s, and they also had runes that allowed them to boost their power, so there was no way the Legion would be able to defeat them easily. Thankfully, Jason’s higher-ranking subordinates were taking care of the larger number of Bengari. Gina, Arcticus, Ragnar, Trigon, and a few high-level Machina were fighting on the frontlines. Stella was on the ground organising and commanding the weaker superhumans, but Stragga, Francis, and Katarina were allowed to fight freely since those three were the only ones that had finally broken through to the TITAN Ranks! Katarina was providing support to Stragga and Francis and boosting their power enough so that they could even go up against the TITAN Rank II’s in the Bengari army!
Jason decided that he would allow the superhumans and Legion subordinates to handle the Bengari warriors. The only people that were dying on Jason’s side were from the Legion, and Jason could always bring them back from the dead, so this would be a good opportunity for the superhumans to grow their power and for the Legion to increase its hierarchy level. Maybe after this fight, Jason might even be able to gain his first PRIMORDIAL Rank subordinate!
Jason looked away from that battle and focused on the bodies in front of him. Diane’s body was lying dead and burnt in the middle of the large crater he was standing in, and the large body of the dead Sky Serpent Boss was lying a few miles away. Arcticus had frozen the Sky Serpent Boss’ body, and either Ragnar or Trigon had used a fire breath to tear a hole straight through the Serpent’s head! Since both heads had been killed without beheading them, the Serpent had finally died!
’I wonder if it’ll still have the hydra powers when I resurrect it. That would be awesome. Having a subordinate that grows stronger every time you take off its head would be pretty useful.’
Jason put his hand out towards the Sky Serpent Boss, and he unleashed his mana before saying:
"Resurrect."
Doon!
Jason’s mana tore through the area as it headed straight for the boss’ dead body and latched onto its soul! A loud hiss echoed through the region as the mana pulled the soul out from the body, and Jason watched as the large Serpent Boss’ soul emerged into the real world! Jason hummed as he noticed the boss had only one head now, and Jason just shrugged and figured that this was what its soul truly looked like.

Jason hummed when he read the rewards he got from resurrecting the Boss! This was awesome! Jason had already been impressed by the [Vertigo] skill the boss used on him, and he couldn’t help but admit that the [Vertigo] skill was the one thing that actually caught him completely off guard in this entire fight! Not only was the skill unexpected, but the fact that it made his vision swim meant he wasn’t able to fight at a hundred percent! But that was all in the past! Now that Jason had the skill as well, Jason could use it to terrorise other opponents!
Jason let out a calm breath, and he turned to read through the boss’ information tab, and Jason couldn’t help the frown that came over his face when he saw how many upgrade points he would need to take it to the next level. Just to upgrade this one subordinate, Jason needed to gather a hundred million kill points! Jason already knew that it wouldn’t be impossible since most of the monsters above TITAN Rank I gave at least a million kill points after they died, but Jason still knew it would be undeniably difficult! And if a Knight Rank I subordinate needed this many upgrade points, then just how many would the Queen ranks need? Jason grimaced just from thinking about it!
’Well, I’ll have to figure out a way to get more kill points then. I should be getting a few hundred million from this Blue Gate. But I’ll need more if I want to upgrade the higher-ranking members of the Legion properly.’
Jason’s face turned serious as he thought about this, and he decided that he was going to have to find some new way to farm for kill points in the future. The best course of action would be to find a battlefield that he could join, and the other possibility was for him to find and enter a lot more high-level Gates like this one. Just this one Gate already gave him millions of kill points as well as hundreds of TITAN Rank subordinates, so going into another Blue Gate would definitely set him up to a new level! But that was something Jason would think about in the future. Instead, Jason turned his attention towards the dead body of Diane, and he frowned as he realised something. The spirit of the PRIMORDIAL that he killed wasn’t here. Does that mean he wouldn’t be able to resurrect it?
The system immediately brought up a message.
[The PRIMORDIAL killed by the user had already been claimed by the Grim Reaper millennia ago, and the user only fought against and killed the PRIMORDIAL spirit of the Weeping Angel. As a result, the Angel’s spirit was moved into the [River of the Afterlife] by the Grim Reaper immediately after death.]
Jason clicked his tongue in annoyance once he saw that old man Death was responsible for it, and Jason decided he would give the old bastard a piece of his mind the next time they ran into each other! Did that bastard know how important it was for Jason to have a PRIMORDIAL Rank subordinate!? How dare he take the spirit away just like that!? Jason decided not to let that bother him, and he turned to Diane and put his hand out.
"Resurrect."
DOON!
