Chapter 956: Two strong Red Lizards!

By following the previous route, he entered the barren land. This time, he paused his footsteps. He used his eye power to scan the surroundings.

He didn’t find any beasts nearby. The barren land was empty. But he knew what would happen if he went closer toward the abandoned valley.

He might come across dangerous beasts. He resumed the journey. It didn’t take long for his eyes to spot something.

He saw lizard beasts on the ground. Not one, but two. Another beast was resting on the ground, not far away from the first one.

It had been a long time since he fought against lizard-type beasts. He gripped the blade’s handle tightly. Next, he darted toward the beasts.

Swoosh!

He closed the gap between himself and the beasts within a minute. The Red Lizard was over 4 meters in size. It was a Tier-5 Beast, but it was close to becoming a Tier-6 Beast.

The Lizard felt the presence of someone. It raised its head and saw a Human Beast Tamer coming toward it.

Growl!

It made a threatening sound. Next, the other beast was alerted. It made the same sound as well.

Both the Red Lizards stood up from the ground. Their sudden movement and growling sounds sent a shockwave across the place.

Both the beasts saw a Human Beast Tamer approaching them at a fast speed.

Jeremy Night was using "Explosive Steps."

He also covered the blade in starlight power.

Swoosh!

The first lizard beast used a massive claw to strike downward. If those claws were to hit a human, they would shred the human body into pieces.

Jeremy Night felt the pressure as the massive claw came at him. He once again used his movement method to suddenly move away from the spot.

Boom!

The massive claw missed the target and struck the ground. The ground cracked, and a shockwave spread across the place again.

Slash!

Right then, he targeted the beast’s body. The blade in his hand flashed before going through the skin and flesh of the body.

Pfff!

The starlight blade split open the side of the body. In a flash, a long red line appeared.

Everything happened fast. He withdrew the blade and went to target the next beast.

The second Red Lizard was waiting for him. Its massive head came down fast to eat him.

Swoosh!

He shifted his body weight and avoided that attack. The massive head of the lizard had rows of teeth.

A single tooth’s size was larger than his head.

Jeremy Night used the blade again. He used his second eye power to find the weak spot. He thrust the blade into the neck of the beast.

Pfff!

The blood vessels severed. Right then, the lizard beast enlarged. A monstrous pressure set off from its body. Next, the lizard’s body moved all of a sudden. Its body collided into his body.

Boom!

His body rocketed backward before crashing into the ground. The new armour withstood the impact. He didn’t expect the beast’s body to enlarge all of a sudden.

The landing was heavy. He felt a searing pain all over his body. Fortunately, he was close to becoming Tier-4. His bones didn’t break.

But he got bloody bruises all over his body. Jeremy Night tried to stand up after some struggle.

Pfff!

On the other hand, blood gushed forth from the wounds of the second beast. Its body had grown in size compared to before.

Blood was flowing from its neck wound because of the severed blood vessels. The beast was finding it hard to move.

Growl!

The first beast was struggling even more. It was deeply injured. The starlight blade had left a long horizontal wound.

The blood was gushing out like torrential water. Both the beasts were struggling to move.

Jeremy Night was back on his feet now. He saw the two beasts struggling. Unlike other Tier-5 beasts, he thought these two beasts were different.

They were close to becoming Tier-6 Beasts. They had abilities as well. The size enlargement was a rare ability.

Swoosh!

Next, he charged at the beasts.

The two beasts were alerted. Seeing that the Human Beast Tamer was coming again, the beasts were enraged. They didn’t flee.

Instead, they were ready to engage in the fight.

Jeremy got closer to the second beast. The next second, a huge tail swept at him. The tail’s speed was fast.

Fortunately, he used his eye power. He predicted the speed and direction of the tail coming at him. His senses also helped him judge the threat level.

When the tail got closer, he decisively backed away. The tail brushed past his face, but the wind force still hit his face.

His face hurt a little.

The next second, the tail hit the empty air, causing a booming sound. Not only that, but the lizard’s tail reversed back with the same speed.

Fortunately, Jeremy Night had widened the gap. He gripped the blade. Once the tail returned to its position, he closed the gap.

He appeared next to the beast and used the "Shadow Slash" move. At the same time, he used his second eye power to target the blood vessels.

The blade swept across the body. It cut down the blood vessels along its path. He didn’t stop at slashing just one time; he did it multiple times in quick succession.

By the time the second beast could do anything, blood spurted forth from multiple blade wounds.

Jeremy Night next went to the first beast, which was in critical condition due to blood loss. He executed the "Shadow Slash."

Multiple blade slashes pushed the beast closer to death. The second lizard beast was lying in its own pool of blood.

Only a lingering breath was left in its body. He had attacked several blood vessels, which impacted the functioning of its internal organs.

It didn’t take long for the second beast to die. The first beast died shortly afterward. He saw the multiple blade injuries on the corpses.

He himself was a little displeased. He had wanted to end their lives cleanly, but the beasts were stronger than he had thought.
