Chapter 334: Chapter 334: Finally Recognizing Each Other’s Childhood Faces
"Elias, come with me for a moment."
Mrs. Sinclair called Elias Langley aside to say things that Juliana Jacobs shouldn’t hear.
Meanwhile, Florence Sinclair poured a cup of red jujube tea and handed it to Juliana Jacobs.
"Your skin is so fair and delicate; everyone can see it, and Auden Hughes must be savoring you endlessly now."
Juliana Jacobs’ eyes darkened, and she slapped Florence Sinclair across the face.
This was precisely what Florence Sinclair wanted.
She aimed to anger Mrs. Sinclair, knowing that with Mrs. Sinclair’s emphasis on etiquette, she would surely fly into a rage seeing Juliana Jacobs act so arrogantly.
Today, Juliana Jacobs will not only face divorce but also suffer greatly.
Florence Sinclair almost laughed at her own plan’s twofold success.
She then swooned to the ground, smashing the teacup she held along with it.
However, Juliana Jacobs saw through her plan and instead of picking up the pieces for herself, she stepped down hard on Florence Sinclair’s hand amid the shattered porcelain.
"Ah—"
Florence Sinclair cried out in pain, her face turning pale.
Juliana Jacobs didn’t lift her foot; she leaned down, increased the pressure, and spoke calmly without evasion, "Do you think you can avoid this beating?"
For a moment, Florence Sinclair was startled, then heard Mrs. Sinclair shouting at Juliana Jacobs, "You cannot harm her! Someone, come quickly!"
As Mrs. Sinclair finished speaking, several bodyguards rushed in.
Among them was the slightly chubby man who wielded the Armor-breaking Whip against Elias Langley that night.
Elias Langley quickly moved to Juliana Jacobs’ side, pulling her into his arms to protect her.
Only then did Juliana Jacobs’ foot leave Florence Sinclair’s hand.
Florence Sinclair’s hand was immediately covered in blood, shockingly gruesome.
Mrs. Sinclair’s face flushed with anger.
"Juliana Jacobs, this is Sinclair Manor, and you are too presumptuous here. No matter who protects you today, I must teach you a lesson!"
As she spoke, she signaled the bodyguards to drag Juliana Jacobs out from Elias Langley’s embrace.
At first, the bodyguards hesitated, but under the lead of the slightly chubby man, they could no longer hold back and began to attack Elias Langley.
Just as things were about to spiral out of control, a sharp male voice came from the hall’s entrance.
"Stop it!"
Mrs. Sinclair turned to see Sebastian Sinclair suddenly appear at the doorway, her emotions highly charged.
"Husband, she hit our daughter in front of me; it’s not the first time. Now, still in the Sinclair Family, this is not just a matter of poor manners, this is... this is..."
Sebastian Sinclair ruthlessly interrupted her, "Manners are for people. If the other acts worse than a beast, the best manners would be to let her taste what it feels like to get a beating!"
Mrs. Sinclair was stunned by her husband’s words.
"But Florence is our..."
She hadn’t finished when Elias Langley’s phone rang.
The tech personnel analyzing IP addresses sent a report via email to Elias Langley and informed him.
"Though sent to Mrs. Sinclair’s email anonymously, with the address abroad, the video’s embedded data still has traces of being edited by a phone. We traced it back, found the phone’s serial number, and the owner is registered as... Florence Sinclair."
With the truth revealed, the Sinclair Manor’s living room fell into dead silence.
Florence Sinclair knew in front of Sebastian and Mrs. Sinclair, she couldn’t bluff any longer, so she knelt down with a thud.
"Mom," she said sincerely, "Juliana Jacobs is Auden Hughes’s ’white moonlight.’ It is true they were intimate in the booth. I did this for Elias’ future, to avoid letting the Sinclair Family lose face. I had no evil intentions."
Elias Langley snorted coldly, "Scheming against your own fiancé, secretly spreading victim videos everywhere; this method is already rotten to the core."
"No! I did not!"
Florence Sinclair calculated they couldn’t find direct evidence of her tampering with the air conditioner. Her voice raised several pitches.
"I didn’t plot against Auden Hughes. They met privately by themselves. I inadvertently obtained the video and sent it out during a moment of idiocy. Juliana Jacobs mingled with others because she doesn’t love you. How could you accuse me of drugging them baselessly?"
Upon hearing this, Juliana Jacobs squinted her eyes.
They never mentioned "drugging" here, yet Florence Sinclair seemed as though her tail was stepped on, rushing to deny it.
This was a self-exposure.
The teahouse booth scheme was her doing—who else could it be?
What remained was direct evidence to nail her down.
When Juliana Jacobs felt there was no proof to deal with Florence Sinclair, Sebastian Sinclair spoke.
"I’ve lived decades, and seen all kinds of monsters. If you want to talk evidence with me, fine! I’ll lock you up first; once evidence is found, I’ll either call the police or use family law."
"No! Dad, don’t be fooled by Juliana Jacobs’ pitiful act!"
Florence Sinclair, heedless of her bleeding hands, crawled towards Sebastian Sinclair crying.
"Dad, everything I did, was because of my deep love for this family!"
Juliana Jacobs laughed from Elias Langley’s arms.
"Florence Sinclair, don’t dress up your innate destructive nature as something noble. Summer Shaw still has an account to settle with you!"
Florence Sinclair shivered, her crawling motion froze.
Sebastian Sinclair observed her reaction and couldn’t help nodding, his voice carrying a calm before the storm.
"Fine, very well, after raising you over ten years, to raise a thankless wolf. Since you’re unworthy of being human, I need not show any compassion."
He looked toward the slightly chubby man, "Caleb Sinclair, drag her to the backyard; when all evidence is confirmed, directly hand her over to the law!"
Caleb Sinclair was an orphan raised in the Sinclair Family, obedient to the family’s orders, especially to Sebastian Sinclair.
Hearing this, he immediately had Florence Sinclair tied up.
"Mom, save me..."
Florence Sinclair, tears and blood flowing, struggled to reach out her bleeding hand to Mrs. Sinclair.
Mrs. Sinclair’s heart ached, she hurriedly stepped forward to plead.
"Sebastian! The one who erred is Juliana Jacobs; how can you treat our daughter this way for an outsider!"
Sebastian Sinclair chuckled coldly, "Madam, has she poured some mind-altering potion into you to confuse you again?"
Mrs. Sinclair was stifled by his words.
Sebastian Sinclair continued, "Florence Sinclair is not human, so she’s just a dog raised by the Sinclair Family. At an appropriate time, I will announce to sever the adoption relationship with Florence Sinclair."
Mrs. Sinclair inhaled sharply, staggering back two steps.
Florence Sinclair was even more devastated, her status, position, future, everything she relied on in Kingsford was obliterated by this statement.
Her entire body... lost the strength to resist.
Seeing this, Caleb Sinclair immediately ordered his men to drag her away.
Seeing the storm dying down, Elias Langley worried about Juliana Jacobs being exhausted, so he held her shoulder, intending to leave.
He turned to look at Mrs. Sinclair, his tone unfamiliaredly distant and sharp.
"Now that things are clear, there’s one thing I want to make clear: Whether past or future, I will never divorce Juliana Jacobs. If Mrs. Sinclair is idle with nothing to do, read more books and enlighten yourself."
Mrs. Sinclair bit her lip, unable to say anything, knowing she was at fault.
Elias Langley’s gaze was deep, implicitly continuing, "Before, considering you were elders, I tried multiple times to mediate for peace. Now it seems, I meddled too much. From now on, anything involving my wife, Mrs. Sinclair do mind your manners!"
After finishing, he departed with Juliana Jacobs.
A chill climbed up Mrs. Sinclair’s spine.
Her husband’s and Elias Langley’s attitude today, even if foolish, she should understand.
An increasingly apparent answer surged in her heart; she was somewhat unsteady, leaning against the nearby table.
As Juliana Jacobs passed by Caleb Sinclair, she paused and stepped out of Elias Langley’s embrace, walking towards him.
She carefully studied his face, finally recognizing his childhood likeness.
"Had I known you’d eat so much, growing flesh not brain, you might as well have stayed a ’stick.’"
Caleb Sinclair suddenly looked up, his pupils contracted...
Because the nickname "stick," in the Sinclair Family, only the young lady called him that; others who did, would get beaten!
