Chapter 154: Fighting Ryan
"It feels as if ages had passed..." Lukas mumbled to himself in a low voice, waiting for the hundreds of undead to stop moving as the gravity around him increased by ten times. Because of the fusion, he had been unable to use all of his abilities to their full potential. It was only now that he could go all out.
Loud popping sounds echoed as the skeleton bones pressed against each other, seemingly on the verge of getting crushed to bits. The next moment, one by one, every skeleton fell to the ground, their bones crushed to bits.
The scene of hundreds of skeletons suddenly getting crushed to bits was terrifying. The onlookers who were watching suddenly had their eyes widened in shock. For them, what Lukas had done was no less than suicide, yet the next moment they were proven wrong.
"What happened? I felt no sword aura, so how did these skeletons suddenly explode?"
Mary yelped in shock. She herself came from a sword family, so she was familiar with sword techniques. As such, she could have felt it if Lukas had used any sword moves.
Not just her — this time even Natasha was left tongue-tied. This was also her first time seeing Lukas use something like this. Such a wide area control attack was perfect against monsters like the undead.
"No — don’t lose yourself. Maintain sanity..." The cosmos pulsed like a war drum, circling the white blood at an instinctive speed, seemingly racing to Lukas’s extremities. At this moment, Lukas had the urge to let go of everything, releasing all restraint and going all out, using every single talent in his arsenal.
But it was with all of his willpower that he was able to control himself.
Right now, too many people were watching. It would not do any good to reveal everything at once. Still, some of his talents were more than enough to deal with these puny undead.
Wherever Lukas passed, the undead fell like twigs. He made sure to give the knight soldiers enough time for them to retreat. Because of his mistakes, he didn’t want to injure any one of them.
Just a moment ago, the undead which were overpowering and pushing the White Knights Guild soldiers back were brought to their knees.
Meanwhile, in the distance, the mysterious woman looked at Ryan with a cold look in her eyes.

"What are you doing? Finish him fast."
By now Ryan was also very furious, and the mysterious woman had struck a nerve. He could not bear it any longer and exploded. "Cut it out, woman. Do you think my skeletons are as worthless as you? I made all of them pouring my blood, sweat, and tears!"
Hearing Ryan’s words, the coldness in the mysterious woman’s eyes intensified further.
"Did you just call me useless?"
Ryan retaliated. "Was I wrong? If you were not useless, why would you come to stand aside instead of doing it yourself?"
Hearing those words, the mysterious woman chuckled. "It was for your own good. Don’t you want to reach the Fourth Sequence?"
"Helping me reach the Fourth Sequence — what are you, my servant or something? Do you think I am still some ignorant greenhorn who can’t see what you are planning?"
Just as they were arguing, Lukas went ahead and crushed another batch of undead. Witnessing this, Ryan’s face turned pale as paper. Lukas’s actions almost caused him to spit blood.
"How dare you, son of...!"
By now Ryan had to be completely stupid if he did not realize that if the battle continued at this rate, his losses would be thousands of times greater than any gains. Lukas might wipe away his years of hard work — something that the White Knights Guild had failed to achieve after years of hard work.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, the soldiers of the White Knights Guild watched Lukas absolutely slaughter the undead. At this moment, the entire battle had come to a standstill, with everyone present solemnly watching Lukas dominating the battle alone, fighting against thousands of undead singlehandedly.
It could no longer be called a battle but a one-sided slaughter.
Contrary to how others were feeling, at this moment Lukas’s heart was filled with pure regret. If Tommy was able to assimilate all these bones, how many sacrifice points might he have gotten? Just thinking about it caused Lukas to become greatly annoyed.
Maybe it was annoyance or something else, but Lukas’s attacks became even more ruthless.
Just at this moment, the undead suddenly stopped attacking. Natasha in the distance was the first to sense something amiss. She looked at Lukas and shouted, "Get back!"
Even though she reacted as fast as possible, it was still too late. At some point, the sinister figure of Ryan had appeared right in front of Lukas. The necromancer’s two eyes were filled with a baleful aura, looking down at Lukas’s figure.
"Puny awakener, how dare you think of going against me!"
These words echoed in the surroundings like thunder, shaking the eardrums of all those that heard it. The eardrums of a few weaker awakeners almost burst on the spot, blood flowing profusely.

"Who are you?"
Lukas instinctively asked, though he already had a rough idea about the figure forming clearly in his heart — a Sequence Three awakener.
The moment this thought popped up in Lukas’s mind, he immediately knew it was most likely true.
Realizing this, his eyes turned solemn. His fight against Natasha was still fresh in his mind — she had absolutely dominated him, giving him no chance to fight back at all. But now that his fusion was completely dissolved, would he be able to compete against a Third Sequence expert?
Ryan completely exploded after hearing Lukas’s ignoring response. To dare destroy so many of his skeletons and not know about him — this warrior was looking for death.
Then, as if going completely insane, Ryan lunged forward to grab Lukas, shouting, "How dare you destroy my undead! What gave you the guts?! Just watch as I make you into my undead — I will have you eat all these awakened persons here one by one!"
Ryan went completely nuts.
*Too fast.*
Lukas’s mind was barely able to keep up with Ryan’s speed as the necromancer’s hand approached toward his throat. His actions were eerily similar to Natasha’s.
However, this time Lukas was not as helpless as before. *Whoosh!* Ryan’s hand hit nothing but air.
"Where did you go, you piece of human trash?! Do you think you can escape me? Even if you run to the end of the earth, I will find you, and when I find you, I will do something that you will never forget!"
In the midst of his long speech, space in the distance rippled, and Lukas appeared immediately. He had used Traceless Steps at the last moment to escape.
Lukas’s face was serious as hell, a solemn look falling through his eyes as he sensed something.
*Gravity pressure seems to be completely ineffective against him.*
What had proven an absolutely sure-kill move against ordinary undead failed to do anything against a Sequence Three necromancer.
"You little rat. I have to admit that you have some skill in running away."
Before these words could even reach Lukas’s ears, Ryan’s figure was right behind him again. A fist powered by deadly energy shot forward.
Just exactly one moment before the impact, Lukas managed to react. An ice sheet seemingly materialized between him and the fist. Crack! The impact caused the sheet to shatter instantly, yet it managed to absorb most of the impact, allowing him to stay unharmed.

Lukas didn’t respond to Ryan but instead flicked his wrist. The moisture around the entire area instantly turned to sharp ice needles, attacking from all sides.
"Little tricks!" Ryan just sneered, letting all the ice needles strike his body. Bang! The impact caused thick white smoke to appear everywhere, making it difficult to look far into the distance.
Mary watched this play out with a solemn look on her face, though there was also slight confusion. Lukas was known as a swordmaster, yet he had yet to use a single sword attack. Through this entire fight, Lukas had yet to draw his sword.
She turned to Natasha with slight worry in her gaze, asking, "Should we interfere?"
Natasha heard this question and almost instinctively said yes, but at the last moment she stopped herself. She was curious about just where Lukas’s real limits lay.
Now watching him fight made her realize that earlier, he might have been hiding his true abilities.
But why? Now this battle was the perfect opportunity to see just how strong he was.
Seeing that their guild master finally wanted to take action, Mary also adopted a wait and watch approach.
.....
"Is this all you got? Weren’t you feeling heroic destroying my precious skeletons? Now why are you hiding?"
Ryan roared in frustration, slamming his legs against the ground. As if struck by something large, the ground caved inward, sending a terrifying shockwave rippling outward. The shockwave hit Lukas hard, launching him slightly upward into the air.
It created the needed opening — that was all Ryan needed.
