Chapter 137: Impressive Stats

In the beginning, there had only been one pitiful Poison Slime and a rookie summoner with almost no confidence whatsoever.

Back then, he wielded broken weapons and had only Slimy by his side, a tiny summon that looked as if it could be stepped on and killed at any moment. Even facing a few low level monsters required careful planning.

Now things were different.

In a short span of time, he had gone from being the son of a graveyard keeper to someone who owned a mansion, a personal dungeon, multiple undead summons, and a long list of enemies.

The changes had indeed come quickly.

So quickly that even Zich found it a little absurd.

And the most exciting part was that this was even the beginning and was just the first layer.

"Things have gone fairly smoothly," he said quietly and then frowned.

He didn’t know why, but his gut told him that he shouldn’t have said that.

Some time later, he began walking forward.

Rainwater slid down his hair and clothes.

The black mud beneath his feet sank slightly with each step.

More newly appeared gravestones lined both sides of the path. Most belonged to monsters he had killed in the Undead Crypt and Golden Realm.

These gravestones were neither large nor especially powerful, but there were many of them, and every one of them represented pure undead materials.

Viewed individually, they were insignificant. But Zich had never judged materials solely by their individual value.

A large enough pile of low grade materials could still produce something useful.

And these undead materials happened to have excellent compatibility with his class. Whether for absorption, fusion, or future consumable use, none of them would go to waste.

Zich continued deeper into the Graveyard.

He passed several gravestones with much heavier presences.

These belonged to undead knights from the Golden Secret Realm, along with some graves left behind by defeated players.

Their auras were far more chaotic and violent than those of ordinary skeletons.

A normal necromancer might not even dare process such materials casually.

But here, they were simply part of the Graveyard.

They all belonged to him.

When he reached a certain point, Zich suddenly stopped.

Deep within the Graveyard stood a newly formed giant tombstone.

It was much larger than an ordinary tombstone, even more imposing than the Knight Captain’s grave.

Constructed entirely from black stone, its surface was covered in dark crimson cracks that spread across it like scars, as though some solidified power still lingered deep within the monument.

Whenever rainwater flowed across its surface, those crimson cracks glowed faintly, making the entire gravestone appear as if it were breathing slowly.

Even so, it was still smaller than Tiamant’s tomb.

That detail made Zich glance at it a second time, a glimmer of respect flashing through his eyes.

He slowly approached the gravestone.

The closer he came, the more he felt a heavy pressure.

It was not the lingering command instinct left behind by the Knight Captain’s grave.

This grave was quiet. Quiet in a way that felt as though it were waiting for orders.

Zich stood before it without immediately reaching out to touch it.

Rain struck the black gravestone. The dark crimson cracks slowly brightened.

A line of text gradually emerged.

[Here Lies the Devouring Bone Giant]

Zich’s eyes shifted slightly as he read the words.

After its death, the level seventy Boss monster had officially become part of his Graveyard.

Zich lifted his gaze toward the even larger Tomb of Tiamant in the distance.

The Devouring Bone Giant’s gravestone stood silently in the rain.

The Dragon’s Tomb stood silent as well.

There was no visible beam of light connecting them.

No system notification appeared to explain anything.

Yet Zich could sense a faint connection.

It was not compatibility between materials.

It felt more like acknowledgment from a lesser being toward a superior existence.

After a moment of silence, Zich spoke softly.

"Just what is your identity?"

There was no answer. Only the sound of rain filled the Graveyard.

Zich withdrew his gaze and looked once more at the Devouring Bone Giant’s gravestone.

Of course, he wanted to immediately test what he could fuse with it.

A Boss grade material sitting right in front of him was torture to leave untouched.

But he did not act. This kind of material could not be used carelessly.

Using it recklessly would only waste its value.

If utilized properly, it might create something far more meaningful than an ordinary Boss material.

The more valuable a material was, the easier it was to lose value by rushing to use it.

Thinking of this, Zich raised his hand and opened his status panel.

Cold rainwater slid down his fingertips, and translucent system text quickly appeared before his eyes.

[Name: Zich Grave]

[Race: Human]

[Class: SSS Spirit Summoner]

[Level: 18]

[Health: 280]

[Mana: 670]

[Strength: 57]

[Agility: 42]

[Stamina: 45]

[Intelligence: 67]

[Free Attribute Points: 25]

[Current Tombstone Slots: 10/60]

[Current Summons: Slimy Lv.6 | Leech Lv.5 | Silverback Ape Grunt Lv.4 | Iron Lv.3 | 5x Undead Skeleton Soldiers Lv.1 | Tiamant Lv.1]

[Skills: Blood Arc Lv.2 | Super Soldier Lv.1 | Shadow Blink Lv.2 | Spirit Flame Lv.1]

[Resistance: Improved Minor Necrotic Resistance]

After everything from the Undead Crypt to the Devouring Bone Giant, his level had risen from 14 to 18. Since he had spent twenty points on Intelligence earlier, only five had remained back then, but the four new levels added another twenty free points.

Zich quietly looked at the panel.

Even though he already knew he had grown stronger, seeing the numbers laid out before him still felt different. Especially his mana. It had gone from that pitiful amount he used to have to a full six hundred and seventy points. At the very least, he no longer looked like a poor guy who could be drained dry by his summons at any moment.

"The Soul Elixir was definitely worth it," he said softly.

If not for that bottle of Soul Elixir, there was no way his attributes could have increased this quickly. Strength, Agility, Stamina, and Intelligence had each been forcibly raised by thirty points. If something like this appeared on the market, it would absolutely trigger a fierce scramble among buyers.

Just as he was about to close the panel, a new notification suddenly popped up.

[Ding! SSS Spirit Summoner hidden talent condition met.]

[New Talent Perk Unlocked.]
