Chapter 103: Chapter 103: Particle Accelerator
Three weeks had passed since graduation and many things had happened, although none deserved to be seriously mentioned.
Among them, he had given a press conference which caused many things, such as an increase in his company’s popularity.
Another was that the Vice President himself came and thanked him for creating the cure for cancer, because his wife suffered from it and thanks to him, his daughter would not lose her mother.
He had even told him to ask for anything within his capabilities and he would provide it.
Taking that as a starting point, Peter asked him if he could find people to test him so he could potentially obtain some doctorates.
He readily agreed to the unusual request. Several days later, some people came to the company to test him, and by the end of the day, all those people left with their pride shattered, headaches, embarrassed expressions, and much more.
Peter just laughed in his office like a maniac, making many of them look like children fresh out of school, which also provoked a small scolding from Susan for making others feel inferior.
He refuted that it was not his fault for being scrawny and intelligent enough to understand and comprehend topics in an absurdly short time.
Four days later he received his doctorates in Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biogenetics, Psychology, Biology, and others. Some did not arrive because he wanted to do it the old-fashioned way by studying, and Missy, May, Susan, and Mary had asked, or rather ordered, him to go to university with them and get one of his doctorates there.
He did not do this because he did not want to be in the cave too much. That was the one thing he did not want to share with Bruce, someone who, if it were up to him, would be in that place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
He did not do that because he wanted to have a life, he wanted to have fun and other things. He did not want to quickly become someone overwhelmingly powerful, or else he would become someone like Saitama, and that was something he refused to become.
Forgetting this, back to the topic of doctorates.
Each of them had been duplicated. The duplicates were framed and hung on one of the walls of his office, while the originals were stored at home.
He had also acquired all the components to create his project, which he had long been eager to develop.
He should also mention that Cortana received an upgrade, which they obtained by hacking JARVIS and absorbing several of its codes, among other things. This happened when they went to Stark Industries to find the final part of his project.
For several days afterward, Cortana had been making pointed comments about JARVIS for being, in her words, an AI-sapiens. She also mentioned that she had already been on equal footing with JARVIS before they went to Stark Industries, and now she was superior to JARVIS in every way.

Parker Residence.
"Hi Sue, you are just in time for lunch," May said while smiling at Susan, who took off her coat and put it in the cloakroom.
"Sigh." Susan sighed. "Let me rest for a minute and then I will join you shortly. Where is Peter?"
"Well, I think you already know where to find him. He also mentioned that once we are done, we should come downstairs because he wants to show us something really cool," May smiled, having gotten used to her partner’s habits, while Susan just sighed in exasperation.
"And here I was, having to reschedule one of his meetings because I wanted him to come home quickly," she said while rubbing her face and taking a sip of water.
"God, today has been a crazy day. Since Peter gave that press conference there has been a lot of movement in the company."
"Oh, I do not doubt it. Peter is currently the man who created a company at such a young age, not to mention he is also the man with the most PhDs, surpassing Stark and Banner. I am still surprised he asked the Vice President for that," May said while shaking her head. That comment made Susan sigh deeply.
"Do not remind me. Right now I regret Peter giving that press conference at my request, introducing himself as the Founder of Abstergo Industries. The only good thing is that our company has gained more popularity since it became known that the creator of the cure for cancer and several sexually transmitted diseases, along with the creator of Baymax, is the founder of this company."
"You are lucky Peter did not reveal he is an excellent singer, otherwise you would be drowning in hundreds of thousands of fan letters by now. And God help you for what is in those letters," May mentioned, making Susan shudder. She had read a thing or two about fans taking their fanaticism to an absurdly perverse and unreal level.
"Yes, I am very lucky."
"I am done here. If you want, let us go downstairs and see what Peter is doing," May said as she finished putting the plates on the table.
"Understood," Susan smiled as they both headed toward the spider’s lair.
"If you are going to see Peter, go to Basement 2. That is where Peter is," Cortana said in a monotone voice through the television.
"Um.... Thanks, Cortana. I still cannot believe Peter created an AI at only 17 years old. He is way ahead of Reed," Susan sighed as she entered and went down to the Underground.
She saw him wearing a sleeveless shirt and black pants while fiddling with some things, but she did not pay attention to that. Instead, she headed to a booth where Yuri and Missy were sitting.
Working alongside him were five white robots with human faces. Unlike Cogman, these robots were used to help create this place, among other things, and to assist in their creator’s experiments. Susan, along with the other girls, did not fully understand the meaning of the names he gave his creations.
Susan, accompanied by May, entered the booth where the other two girls were and saw them looking a little uneasy.
"What is wrong? Why do you all seem a little restless?" May asked.
"Oh, it is just that Peter was laughing like a maniac for almost five minutes and Yuri and I were a little scared," Missy mentioned while remembering her boyfriend’s laughter.
While May, Missy, and Yuri were talking, Susan watched Peter and the NS-5s working. She stared for a few seconds at Peter and the robots’ creation until she realized what they were creating, and her eyes widened in amazement.
"Why the hell is he creating that?! Is he insane?!" The blonde’s screams caused the other three girls to look at her in confusion.
"Do you know what he is creating? All Missy and I know is that those two things are Tesla coils," Yuri mentioned while pointing at the coils, which Susan had just noticed.
"That big, huge circle taking up so much space is a particle accelerator, and if Peter is not careful with it, this whole place is going to be screwed," she said as she slumped into one of the chairs, her hands trembling, her face a mixture of worry and astonishment. "How is this even possible? Teams of scientists worked for years to build a particle accelerator and a large hadron collider in Switzerland, and this man builds one right under his house! He is defying the laws of logic and nature."
"Well, we are talking about Peter. He always makes the impossible possible," Missy said.
"That is hardly an answer," Susan said, making Missy shrug.
"God, if you reacted this way to that contraption, should I tell you that he also created a Quantum Tube to enter something called the Quantum Realm?" Yuri said, and when she realized what she had said, she covered her mouth and looked at Susan, who was about to have a fit. "Oops?"
"This is incredible, simply incredible! What is next?! Will he create a freaking teleporter or a spaceship?!"
That comment made the three women look at each other for a second and then look at Susan with pity.
’Poor little beautiful thing,’ Yuri thought.
’Ha, first time?’ May and Missy thought simultaneously.
"Ahem."
All the women looked ahead and saw Peter, who had a smile full of madness, happiness, and many other things. More than one of them felt a chill when she saw his eyes full of madness and happiness.
"It is in moments like this that I am glad Peter is not the bad guy in the movie," Yuri said, making the other women nod in agreement.
