Chapter 2307: A bit too slow
Even if the first step had been taken, it was only a small step.
"It’ll take a long time for these plants to grow." I muttered to myself as I looked at the sprouts that came out of the ground.
Though I had been prepared to stay here for as long as needed, it wasn’t as if I wanted to wait forever for the plants to grow.
So if I could, I wanted to see if I could make the plants grow faster.
"Nature magic will just drain the nutrients from the ground and take away the vitality of the soil."
I already learned what nature magic was capable of and what the price of using that magic was. So there wasn’t a single moment that I considered using it since my goal was to revive this land in the first place.
It would be counterintuitive to harm the land that I was reviving.
But if I couldn’t use nature magic to speed up the growth of the plants, then there was only one thing that could do it.
"It’s natural since it’s just speeding up the flow of time, but it isn’t as if speeding up time is something easy to do." I said with a sigh.
Time magic was something that was regarded as ancient magic.
It was the kind of magic that didn’t exist in the current world.
Even in the ancient world, it was magic that was considered incredibly rare that it was barely used.
After all, time was one of the very fundamental laws of this world. To go against that was something that required a large amount of power.
But it wasn’t as if I didn’t have that power.
It was just that it wasn’t something that I could control well enough to do so.
In the trial world, I had already been shown a system where divine energy was used to control time. It was used to speed up the very world and it was so powerful that it even affected the divine realm of that world.
So there was no doubt that it was possible as long as one could control their divine energy enough.
It was just that I certainly wasn’t able to do that.
There were many things that I was able to do with the divine energy, but this wasn’t one of them.
Though as I was thinking about it, I realized that I had made a mistake.
"Is there a need to think about controlling the time of the entire space? There’s only a need to speed up a certain small area since I’m testing things."
I couldn’t help feeling a bit embarrassed because I had been trying to make things bigger for no reason.
If it was just the small patch of land that I had just planted, then it would certainly be much easier to control the time in this space.
However, I still had to figure out how to do it.
As I raised my hands in front of me, I thought to myself, "Think of that sensation from the trial world. When time was speeding through it..."
Though I thought this, I couldn’t feel the divine energy flowing through me.
It was as if it was refusing to accept this prompt with how it refused.
Normally I would be able to use the creation divine energy to stop the gap if I lacked knowledge about something. It would allow me to create something that I didn’t understand as long as I forced out the creation divine energy.
But this was a clear sign of rejection.
"So I just don’t have enough divine energy..."
I wasn’t surprised that this was the case. After all, it would certainly take a lot of divine energy to create something that would be able to control time.
But thinking about it, I realized that there was something else that I had missed.
The power that was used to control the flow of time in the trial world, it was an actual power. It wasn’t as if it was something that had been created that would control time, it was divine power that was applied to that world that allowed that console to use it.
However, that divine power was definitely something that was out of reach for me.
Trying to replicate it with the creation divine energy was reckless, which was why it had refused to listen to me. This power of mine was actually trying to protect me from doing something excessively reckless.
In that case, it was better to change my mentality and figure out another way to do this.
"What if I created a tool that would be able to control the power?"
With that thought, I started channeling the creation divine energy once more and found that this time, it actually flowed. That creation divine energy was concentrated in front of me and seemed to take the form of something.
Once it finished condensing, that thing landed in my hand.
"This is a stopwatch?"
That was the form that this thing took, but I could tell that it wasn’t exactly that either since there were more buttons on this thing than what a normal stopwatch would have.
It didn’t seem like any of the buttons on this thing had any labels, so I didn’t know what any of these buttons did.
But since this was what the creation divine energy formed, then it should be of use.
The first button that I pressed made numbers appear on the screen of the stopwatch.
This thing was a digital stopwatch, so it displayed numbers in a normal format.
Only the numbers were moving much faster than normal.
It was clear that the flow of time on this stopwatch was much faster than it should have been.
Looking down, I could see that there was a change that came over the sprouts as well.
It was slow, but it seemed like they were growing.
So this was the button that sped up time.
