Chapter 238: Chapter 238: Anyone?

Back in Flowing Spring City, the grand hall of the Ge Clan estate presented a vastly different, yet equally tense spectacle.

Sitting heavily upon an oversized, reinforced golden throne was Patriarch Ge.

Much like his pampered son, the patriarch was fat as fuck, his massive, round frame practically overflowing from a set of extravagant, glittering gold robes.

Every single one of his sausage-like fingers was adorned with heavy, expensive spiritual jewelry, and thick jade necklaces strained against his triple chin as he nervously wiped his sweaty forehead with a silk handkerchief.

His small, piggish eyes were wide with a mixture of shock and deep worry as he stared at his son, Young Master Ge, who was currently trembling on the floor before him.

Instead of being in Crimson Iron City finalizing the highly anticipated marriage contract with the Cao Clan, the young master had fled back to their home territory like a beaten hound, his face completely pale and his expensive robes wrinkled and disheveled.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Patriarch Ge rumbled, his heavy jowls shaking as he leaned forward, making the golden throne creak beneath his immense weight.

"Why are you back here? How did the marriage alliance go? What the hell happened on the road?!"

The young master looked up at his father, his eyes welling with tears of lingering terror as he began to ramble frantically.

"Father! It was horrific! We were halfway to Crimson Iron City... right in the middle of the mountain pass... when we were stopped! Our entire escort caravan was halted by a single man!"

Patriarch Ge narrowed his eyes, trying to maintain his majestic composure.

"A single man? Who dared to block a grand delegation of the Ge Clan? Was it a bandit? An assassin from the Golden Cauldron?"

"No, Father! He... he wasn’t an assassin! He was... he was a handsome man," the young master whimpered, a slight, involuntary flush rising on his pale cheeks despite his absolute fear.

"He was so incredibly beautiful, Father... wearing these elegant green robes..."

The moment the words "handsome man" left his son’s mouth, Patriarch Ge’s face contorted into an expression of pure, exasperated agony.

He raised a heavy, jewelry-clad hand and violently face-palmed, letting out a loud, miserable groan that echoed through the empty hall.

He knew his son all too well.

This gay, degenerate piece of trash didn’t have a single shred of control over his own lust.

"You absolute idiot," the patriarch hissed beneath his hand.

"You got carried away again, didn’t you? You saw a pretty face on the road and your brain completely stopped working. Tell me the truth before I break your legs myself!"

"I couldn’t help it, Father!" the young master cried out, defending himself frantically as he curled into a ball on the polished marble floor.

"He was standing all alone in the wilderness! I wanted to capture him! I wanted to drag him into my carriage and fuck him until he couldn’t even stand up! Anyone in my position would have done the exact same thing!"

A senior elder standing near the throne shifted his weight, staring down at the whimpering young master with a completely flat, utterly exasperated expression.

"Anyone?" he echoed, his voice dripping with dry disbelief.

Patriarch Ge slowly turned his head, sharing a brief, painfully united look of profound exhaustion with the elder.

He pinched the bridge of his nose, silently cursing the ancestors for blessing his lineage with such a shameless degenerate.

Shaking off his bewilderment, he locked his piggish eyes back onto his blubbering son.

"And then what?!" Patriarch Ge roared, slamming his heavy, sausage-like fist against his gold-plated armrest.

The impact made his expensive spiritual jewelry rattle loudly like cheap wind chimes.

"If it was just some ordinary, defenseless rogue cultivator, you wouldn’t be back here shaking like a wet dog! Speak up, you useless whelp! What did that man do to you?!"

The young master swallowed hard, his voice dropping to a terrified, breathless whisper that made the temperature in the entire grand hall feel instantly cold.

"Father... he... he vanished right from his spot, like a ghost," the young master whimpered, his eyes wide with the lingering horror of the memory.

"He began slaughtering our Foundation Establishment guards one by one before anyone could even react."

"But then, the Golden Core expert I was fuc—I mean, the grand guard captain! He stepped up to block his path. But that monster... he just reached out and reaped the captain’s neck like he was snapping a chicken’s neck!"

He violently clutched his father’s glittering golden robes, his teeth chattering uncontrollably.

"He... he is a Nascent Soul cultivator, Father! A young, monstrous Nascent Soul expert!"

Thud.

Patriarch Ge’s silk handkerchief slipped from his trembling fingers, drifting uselessly to the marble floor.

The blood completely drained from his massive, fleshy face, leaving him looking like a giant, golden ghost frozen upon his throne.

A Nascent Soul cultivator.

The Ge Clan was a powerful commercial and martial entity in Flowing Spring City, but their absolute strongest powerhouse, the patriarch himself, was only at the peak of the Foundation Establishment realm, with a few hidden elders barely touching the early stages of the Golden Core.

They did not have a single Nascent Soul ancestor to back them up.

In the grand scheme of cultivation, a Nascent Soul expert could wipe their entire clan off the face of the earth in a single afternoon if they felt insulted.

"A... a Nascent Soul master?" Patriarch Ge stammered, his triple chin quivering violently.

"And you... you told a Nascent Soul master that you wanted to fuck him?!"

"I didn’t know, Father! I swear I didn’t know!" the young master wept, grabbing the hem of his father’s gold robes.

"But he didn’t kill us! He spared my life on one condition!"
