Chapter 393: Holy Shit [1500 GT Bonus]

Grey started to laugh. He couldn’t manage to stop himself for a while.

These gloves were absolutely crazy. They were almost like a conduit of control, one that went far beyond any one Ability Grey had right now.

If he had to describe it, it was like these gloves gave him access to a Level 50 Ability while his strongest Abilities now, even with the boost of his Crimson Dragon Nexis Suit and his Wolf Spirit, were only just above Level 20.

It was almost like training wheels. He had never had to learn how to control the Ability himself, but the gloves did all of it. And he was pretty sure that this was just one application of this.

Grey put his hands out again and the lines formed again, but this time, a pair of hands appeared high above him. The lines of gold descended, connecting to his body.

’Holy Shit....’

Grey exhaled a breath so hot the air in front of his mouth sparked with it.

He was already used to using his Dark Solveign Frame to boost his physical abilities. Usually, that was done by varying his weight from extremely heavy to extremely light, and then using his body as a solar sail to accelerate or slow it down.

With a refined control of these methods, Grey could do all sorts of things from making it look like he could fly for a short time, to landing a hit that sounded, looked, and felt like a nuke had gone off.

He was quite good at it too, if he did say so himself.

But this was completely different. It felt like the light was pouring into his very cells and accelerating their abilities. Not only could he use this to heal, but his actual physical abilities were on another level.

And, if he used the Holy Energy of the lines to resonate with Last Paladin Spirit.

Grey’s body began to move, but this time, without the restrictions of his body, his reflexes were faster and sharper. It was like Last Paladin Spirit had cut out the middle man.

’I really don’t think anyone beneath Dominion Class could touch me if I used Last Paladin Spirit like this...’

Lv17 Last Paladin Spirit > Lv18 Last Paladin Spirit

Lv18 Last Paladin Spirit > Lv19 Last Paladin Spirit

Grey’s pupils constricted.

Last Paladin Spirit was undoubtedly his hardest ability to progress. The only reason it was even so high right now was because of the blessings he had gained from the Paladin Trial.

But in just a few seconds now, he had upgraded it twice.

These gloves... Bringing Light wasn’t a simple title at all. It didn’t just flood him with control over this light, but a comprehension of it. It was like the moment it realized he was trying to resonate with the rhythm of the Last Paladin Spirit, it enhanced the signal, amplified it, and made it practically impossible for him to ignore.

’These feel like... cheating...’

Grey looked down at the white gloves and gave them one more test.

He summoned his pimp gloves over them.

Surprisingly, there wasn’t even the slightest bit of interference. If anything, his pimp gloves only gained a hint of an extra accent color to them. From red and black, they gained an undertone of white underneath.

’Nice.’

Grey put his pimp gloves away, and since he didn’t have a better place to store his Bringing Light gloves anyway, he just left them on. They didn’t feel any different.

That was almost certainly going to cause him trouble in the future, but as far as he was concerned, if he was dealing with someone strong enough to bring him trouble while he was wearing these gloves, then trouble was going to come anyway.

As for the Lineage within the gloves... Grey actually felt some resistance when he tried to go deeper. It seemed the gloves didn’t feel like he was ready yet.

This was probably a positive thing, though. Who knew when he’d have the time to look at it anyway?

There was one more ability that these gloves did have, though.

Grey pointed a finger behind him.

Amunet wasn’t in the best state right now. She hadn’t said anything because she couldn’t say anything, but she was biting her teeth so hard blood had begun to seep through. Blood pooled down her ears and nose, and her strain was quickly reaching a breaking point.

Grey had said that she had to hold on for two minutes, and to her credit, it had almost been three now. But Grey wasn’t even in a battle, he was just having fun testing out his treasures.

The good news was that the arms he had killed before were very helpful in lowering her troubles. But there were just too many of them.

At this rate, they were going to die.

But then, a golden hand appeared above her head. Its strands of gold hit her before she could dodge and suddenly a flood of energy was pooling into her. Her face looked a lot better almost instantly.

She looked up, not sure how she felt about literally becoming a puppet on Grey’s strings, but what other choice did she have right now? She could only watch as Grey reached forward and touched a second of the three Legendary Loot Boxes.

A snow globe appeared after the light nearly blinded the both of them.

Within it was what almost looked like a soup of celestial bodies, a rotating orbit of moons radiating various shades of silver at different stages in their cycling lifetimes
