Chapter 121: Pour Me A Drink Omega

The grand dining hall of Shadowmere pack compound had been transformed for the occasion.

Long tables stretched across the expansive space in carefully orchestrated arrangement, each position calculated according to pack hierarchy and political alliance in preparation for the second day of the Submit. The most powerful alphas occupied seats closest to the raised dais where Alpha Garrett would oversee the formal dinner. Lesser alphas filled positions farther back, their seating a visible representation of their standing within the werewolf realm’s complex political structure.

The air itself felt heavy with power and calculation.

Hundreds of warriors filled the space, their presence creating an undercurrent of controlled energy. Dozens of alphas sat at the tables, their conversations flowing between formal speeches and careful political maneuvering. Alliances were being tested. Hierarchies were being reinforced. Territory disputes were being discussed with the kind of careful civility that masked underlying tensions.

Lilith arrived with the other omegas assigned to serve for the evening, dressed in the standard omega serving attire...simple and functional. A plain black dress with long sleeves. Practical shoes. Nothing that would draw attention. Nothing that would mark her as anything other than another servant moving through the space.

She was trying to be invisible.

But the moment the brothers entered the dining hall, her entire body responded.

She felt that inexplicable awareness that had become constant since they’d arrived at Shadowmere. Her breathing hitched. Her skin prickled with awareness. Every nerve ending in her body seemed to suddenly activate and reach toward their presence.

Nicholas led the way into the hall, his dark eyes scanning the space. Sebastian followed with controlled grace, his awareness sharp and tactical, his presence commanding attention without demanding it. Lucian trailed behind, and even from across the hall, Lilith could see his gold eyes already scanning the room with an intensity that made her stomach tighten.

He was looking for her.

The other alphas noticed the Blackwoods’ entrance immediately.

These were top-tier alphas from major packs, powerful in their own right, commanding respect within their territories. But the arrival of the Blackwood triplets created a visible shift in the room’s energy. Conversations paused. Warriors straightened slightly. The natural hierarchy of the werewolf realm reasserted itself with their presence.

The three brothers took their seats at one of the prominent tables, positioned with strategic awareness of the entire hall. Nicholas sat down and Sebastian settled beside him. Lucian positioned himself in a way that allowed him clear sightlines to most of the room.

And to her.

The formal dinner began.

Garrett delivered opening remarks about the importance of the Summit, the protocols that would be observed, the expectations for all attending packs. His voice carried the authority of a host alpha, but Lilith noticed the tension in his jaw. Noticed the way his eyes occasionally drifted toward the Blackwood table.

As she moved through the hall with her serving tray, Lilith became acutely aware of the political undercurrent flowing beneath the formal civility.

The brothers were listening to the speeches, observing the dynamics, occasionally weighing in with quiet commentary that carried disproportionate weight. When Nicholas made a comment about territorial boundaries, other alphas nodded in agreement. When Sebastian observed something about pack alliances, conversations shifted to accommodate his perspective.

But underneath the political discussion, Lilith felt it...the constant awareness of her.

Nicholas’s silver eyes found her across the room as she served wine to a neutral section of the hall. Just a brief glance. Just enough to acknowledge her presence. Then his attention returned to the political maneuvering, but she felt the awareness like a constant thread connecting them.

Sebastian’s lips curved into a slight smile when she passed his table while clearing empty plates. The expression was knowing. Possessive. It lasted only a moment before he returned his attention to the dinner.

Lucian’s gold eyes never left her position.

He tracked her movements with the focus of a predator monitoring prey. Every time she moved, his gaze followed. Every time she paused, he noted it. His attention was so constant that it created a physical sensation of being watched.

Other alphas began to notice the pattern.

Whispers started...subtle at first, then gradually more obvious as the evening progressed. "Why are the Blackwoods so interested in that omega?, Is there a strategic alliance we’re missing?"

Luke, standing near the periphery of the hall in his capacity as Garrett’s representative, watched the dynamics unfold with growing concern. His warrior instincts recognized strategy when he saw it. The Blackwoods were positioning themselves deliberately. Making their interest in Lilith visible. Creating a public statement through their attention.

But for what purpose? Territory claim? Personal preference?

He couldn’t determine the answer, and the uncertainty gnawed at him.

Garrett’s jaw remained tight throughout the meal. He watched the brothers’ behavior with the careful observation of a political player trying to understand the game being played. His eyes followed Lilith as she moved through the hall. His expression grew increasingly troubled as he watched the brothers request her specifically when other servers approached their table.

"We already have a server," Nicholas said calmly when another omega arrived with water.

"Let her do it," Sebastian said simply when asked about clearing their plates.

The pattern became undeniable to everyone present. The Blackwood brothers had again claimed Lilith’s service for the entire evening, and every other server in the hall understood the implication immediately.

The tension in the room began to build.

It wasn’t obvious, not yet. But those who understood the language of alpha dynamics could feel it. Could sense the subtle shift in the air. Could recognize that something was happening beneath the surface of civility and formal protocol.

Lilith continued her work, trying to ignore the constant awareness of their presence.

She was serving wine to a table of mid-tier alphas when one of them called her over.

Alpha Kieran from the Northridge pack was a man in his mid-thirties with the kind of confident bearing that came from a successful pack leadership. He was ambitious, that much was obvious from the way his eyes tracked the political movements of the higher-tier alphas. He was testing boundaries, that much was clear from the slight smile playing at his lips as he watched her approach.

"Pour me a drink, omega," he said, his voice commanding but casual, as if he was stating a simple fact rather than giving an order.

"Yes, Alpha," Lilith said automatically, her training overriding any hesitation.
