Chapter 611: Growing Urgency

Third Person’s POV

Such a feat had never before appeared in the recorded history of the current era.

Everything surrounding this mysterious senior sounded utterly unbelievable.

Everything except his appearance.

Because of that, Aurelia couldn’t allow herself to recklessly ignite hope inside Eleanor’s heart.

She understood better than anyone that beneath Eleanor’s calm smile and composed demeanor lay nine years of silent suffering that very few people truly understood.

She was a mother who had lost her only child.

Although Eleanor continued living as though nothing had happened, Aurelia knew that she had merely learned how to conceal the pain rather than overcome it.

If this hope turned out to be false...

If the mysterious senior wasn’t Ethan after all...

Then Aurelia knew without the slightest doubt that Eleanor’s carefully maintained composure would finally collapse, and the last fragile hope that had sustained her all these years would shatter completely, or she would need a lot of time to get back to her current focused life.

Thinking of that possibility made Aurelia unconsciously tighten her grip around the corner of her book.

Her conflicted expression slowly disappeared, and in its place came quiet determination.

She would verify the identity of the mysterious violet-haired senior herself first, and only after she knew beyond all doubt that the impossible had truly happened would she tell Eleanor Mistborn that the son she had searched for during the last nine years might finally have returned.

As Aurelia continued sorting through those conflicting thoughts in her mind, a rich and refreshing aroma suddenly began spreading throughout the classroom.

The fragrance was unlike that of ordinary medicinal herbs.

It carried an earthy sweetness mixed with a faint metallic scent, making every student’s attention unconsciously drift toward the front of the classroom.

Even Aurelia instinctively lifted her head.

Only then did she realize that the brewing process had already reached its conclusion.

Within Eleanor’s graceful hands rested a transparent runic crystal vial, inside which a viscous yellowish green potion gently swirled.

The liquid shimmered with a faint translucent glow, while countless tiny runes occasionally surfaced beneath its surface before disappearing once again, giving the potion an almost living appearance.

Even from several rows away, Aurelia could feel a mix of dense earth and wood elemental mana radiating from it.

Eleanor calmly held the vial high enough for everyone to observe before speaking in her usual composed voice.

"This is a Grade Three Golem’s Blood Potion, young mages."

Her beautiful violet eyes slowly swept across the classroom before she continued.

"After consuming it, a translucent green armor will temporarily manifest over the mage’s body."

She lightly rotated the vial between her fingers, allowing the students to appreciate the density and purity of the potion inside.

"While that armor remains active, it can easily withstand physical attacks comparable to those launched by Rank Three Aura Masters and Body Refinement Warriors, whether those attacks originate from weapons, beasts, or natural environmental hazards."

Several students immediately began recording every word in their magic scrolls.

Eleanor, however, raised one finger to emphasize the potion’s greatest weakness.

"However, remember one thing carefully.

Do not overestimate this potion, as it only protects against physical attacks and physical trauma."

"If your opponent uses attacks formed purely from mana and augmented by elemental energy, the armor’s defensive capabilities will decrease drastically.

Against properly enhanced magical attacks like spells, it will offer little resistance, almost as though it doesn’t exist."

The classroom immediately became silent as everyone carefully memorized that warning.

Only after allowing them enough time to write everything down did Eleanor continue.

"For tomorrow’s practical lesson, anyone capable of successfully brewing a Grade Two Golem’s Blood Potion will receive this Grade Three potion brewed by me as a reward."

A ripple of excitement instantly spread through the classroom.

A Grade Three potion was valuable enough that many students could not normally afford to purchase one themselves.

The girls were excited for the potion, while the boys were excited for some other reason.

The goal in their mind was getting recognition from Professor Eleanor herself, and hopefully getting acquainted with her through this test.

Eleanor merely smiled faintly before adding another condition.

"Naturally, you will prepare every ingredient yourselves. As a small help, I have already prepared the complete ingredient list for you."

As she finished speaking, an old yellow scroll floated upward before slowly unfurling in midair.

Ancient black ink shimmered faintly across its surface as every required ingredient became visible to the entire class.

Aurelia hurriedly read through the list.

She had already decided that the moment the lecture ended, she would immediately leave the classroom before Eleanor had the opportunity to stop her and ask about today’s conflict with Sharon.

Her priority now was no longer potion making, as she needed to verify the identity of that mysterious violet-haired senior before anything else.

Yet after reading the ingredient list, another headache quietly formed inside her mind, as every one of these materials would have to be purchased from the academy’s magical ingredient market.

Some of them weren’t particularly expensive.

Unfortunately, others were both rare and difficult to obtain.

One of the ingredients even made her frown as it sounded simply too gross and absurd, but she knew that the potion field was famous for such weirdness and bizarreness that somehow worked in the end.

Rank Two Steelhide Rhino’s Horn ×1

Rank Two Stoneback Boar’s Testicles ×2

Ironbark Tree Heartwood ×250 grams

Granite Moss ×1 handful

Earth Crystal Powder ×50 grams

Rank Two Rockshell Tortoise Blood ×200 milliliters

Petrified Treant Resin ×3 drops

Aurelia silently sighed.

The first two ingredients alone usually required placing advance requests with hunting teams, while fresh Rank Two Rockshell Tortoise Blood was equally troublesome to acquire because very few adventurer groups bothered hunting those heavily armored magical beasts.

It would probably consume both time and a considerable amount of academy contribution points to gather everything.

Still, those concerns barely occupied her thoughts.

The instant Eleanor announced the end of class, Aurelia almost rushed out of the classroom.
