Chapter 595: New Moon Magic Academy

Third Person’s POV

If my assumptions are correct, it will not take long for someone like him to notice you with your talent and power.

And with this intention, I would suggest you not to hide your talent or power, i.e., you must not stay purposefully low key to avoid any trouble."

Her eyes lingered on him for a brief moment.

"And that is precisely my intention."

Ethan raised an eyebrow slightly at this bold so-called ’suggestion’ she was giving him.

It was practically an order, but this hypocrite of a woman wrapped her words in suggestions even though both of them knew the truth behind her act.

Shixea continued calmly.

"My actual plan is for you to attract his attention and gradually enter his circle as the closer you are to him, the greater the opportunities you will have to gain his trust and then deal the fatal blow when he has his guard down."

After reminding him once again that he was already involved in her schemes, whether he liked it or not, she reached into her storage ring and produced a small purple badge.

A blue rune shaped like a six-pointed ice crystal was engraved at its center.

The rune shimmered faintly beneath the light entering through the carriage window.

She handed it toward him.

"Take this, Young Master Eryndor. This is the badge issued to students of the Crystal Formation Realm of this academy."

Ethan accepted it and immediately felt that it was forged from some kind of magical metal.

The surface was cool to the touch and surprisingly heavy despite its small size.

The moment his fingers came into contact with it, the badge emitted a faint glow.

A moment later, Ethan sensed a tiny portion of his own aura being absorbed into the metal.

His eyes narrowed slightly as he realized that the badge had recorded his aura signature.

It was a sophisticated identification artifact.

From the feeling he received, Ethan was fairly certain that once it recognized an owner, it would reject anyone else.

In other words, this badge belonged solely to him from this moment onward.

He examined it silently while allowing Shixea to continue.

"Remember this carefully, Young Master.

This badge is the only proof that you are an official student of the Crystal Formation Branch of New Moon Magic Academy."

Her tone became particularly serious.

"Hundreds of Crystal Formation Realm cultivators from throughout the Northern Glacial Region compete every year for a limited number of seats.

Possessing this badge means you successfully secured one of those positions."

Ethan immediately understood what she was truly telling him.

This was not merely a badge.

It was an identity, a background that held this carefully prepared story.

If anyone investigated him, this would be the explanation he would provide.

Seeing the understanding in his eyes, Shixea nodded.

"You originally came from Dark North City within the Mist Domain.

You were an orphan with no notable background.

Through a combination of talent, perseverance, luck, and opportunities obtained through your own efforts, you rose through the ranks and eventually earned a transfer opportunity to New Moon Magic Academy."

She spoke the fabricated history so naturally that it almost sounded genuine.

"I have already arranged everything in advance.

The records exist, the paperwork exists, and the supporting identities exist."

A faint smile appeared on her lips.

"The Academy Headmaster will not personally concern himself with something as insignificant as a transfer student’s admission, so there is little risk of anyone digging too deeply into the matter, and even if they did, the false trails I have set up would help you to avoid any suspicion."

She gestured toward Elis.

"Elis will accompany you and introduce you to the Initiator Deacon responsible for new arrivals."

Ethan finally nodded.

Without saying anything further, he pushed open the carriage door and stepped outside.

Elis followed immediately behind him.

The moment his boots touched the ground, Ethan’s eyes widened ever so slightly.

Before him stood an enormous gate of deep blue stone.

The structure towered high into the air, possessing a majesty that immediately distinguished it from ordinary institutions.

At its peak were engraved three enormous words.

NEW MOON MAGIC ACADEMY.

The letters themselves seemed carved from ice crystal and shimmered beneath the pale sunlight, radiating a cold glow.

Several armored guards stood watch at the entrance.

Beyond the gate, Ethan could see countless pathways, towering academy buildings, training grounds, and elegant spires rising into the distance.

Behind him stretched the vast expanse of Ice Emperor City.

Snow-covered streets extended as far as the eye could see while merchants, nobles, adventurers, servants, and ordinary citizens moved through the bustling avenues without paying any attention to him or the ordinary-looking carriage from which he had emerged.

To them, he was merely another student arriving at the academy and nothing more.

Meanwhile, streams of young men and women could be seen entering and exiting the academy grounds.

Some wore robes embroidered with magical symbols.

Others carried staffs, swords, spellbooks, or magical artifacts.

Powerful mana fluctuations occasionally drifted through the crowd, proving that many of these students were anything but ordinary.

As Ethan stood before the academy gates and observed the endless flow of talented young cultivators entering the institution, a strange feeling arose within him.

For the first time since awakening from his year-long slumber, he felt as though he had finally arrived at the beginning of something new.

The New Moon Magic Academy stood before him like the entrance to an entirely different Chapter of his life.

And although he knew he had been dragged into countless schemes, conspiracies, and power struggles against his will, he could not deny that a faint trace of anticipation had begun to stir within his heart.

Especially when he considered that there was now a genuine possibility of having his long-awaited reunion with his mother.

That thought alone was enough to make his usually calm heart become restless.

Ever since awakening from his year-long slumber, countless questions had occupied his mind.
