Chapter 639: Chapter 639 The Martial Saint Implement
"Deploy the Martial Saint Implement!"
The black and gold robed men traded nervous looks when they heard this command.
Everyone knew the Capital City Martial Arts Association hadn’t touched the Martial Saint Implement in years.
They hadn’t even brought out the Saint Weapon during the whole mess with Mason Raymond!
"Do we really need to go that far? We’ve got everything ready—no point dragging out the Martial Saint Weapon," one of them said with a chill in his voice.
"The bunch of us can handle that black-robed guy easy. Real question is if he’ll even bother showing up."
"The Martial Saint Weapon... that’s serious business."
But Phoebe Billy shot back coldly, "You guys have no clue how dangerous that black-robed man actually is!"
"How dangerous can he be? You saying he can take on all eight of us?" someone scoffed.
"Vice President Billy, you’re not telling us this black-robed guy is as big a threat as Mason Raymond, are you?"
"Sure, the black-robed man’s way stronger than Mason Raymond, but he’s not nearly as risky as Mason."
"Look, Mason’s just a kid—we’re worried about what he might become down the road. But this black-robed guy’s obviously hit his limit and isn’t any real danger to the Capital City Martial Arts Association."
Phoebe Billy slammed his fist on the table, almost ready to spill the truth that Mason Raymond was the black-robed man.
But in the end, Phoebe Billy held back.
He sucked in a breath and said, "Whatever the case, I’m putting in the request. I’d like all of you to just stick to what you’re supposed to do."
The group made dismissive sounds, kept quiet, and walked out.
Phoebe Billy took a long, slow breath, his face grim and unreadable.
For Phoebe Billy, this was all or nothing—Mason Raymond had to die!
*If he survived, his daughter would be in danger! He couldn’t let anything go sideways!*
So Phoebe Billy got up right away and went to Sybil Cooper’s office to lay out his plan.
After hearing him out, Sybil Cooper laughed mockingly, "Phoebe Billy, have you completely lost it? Deploy the Martial Saint Implement? What the hell are you thinking? Do you get what it means to bring out the Martial Saint Weapon?"
Phoebe Billy said urgently, "President Cooper, using the Martial Saint Weapon is the only way to make sure Mason Raymond dies! I..."
"Stop!" Sybil Cooper cut him off harshly.
"Phoebe Billy, letting you use the black and gold-robed men is already pushing it! Now you want the Martial Saint Weapon?"
"What if you grab the Martial Saint Weapon and run off? Who’s gonna answer for that? Do you have any idea what a Martial Saint Weapon means?"
Phoebe Billy clenched his teeth, feeling the urge to tell Sybil Cooper that Mason Raymond was the black-robed man.
But ultimately, Phoebe Billy gave up on the idea.
*He didn’t know enough about Mason Raymond’s tricks and was scared that revealing his identity would trigger the pill automatically.*
"Phoebe Billy, you better handle this thing right, got it?" Sybil Cooper said coldly.
Phoebe Billy nodded and answered quietly, "President Cooper, I got it."
After walking out of the Capital City Martial Arts Association, Phoebe Billy started setting up the operation.
They purposely created an academy, designed specifically for awakening bloodlines.
This academy was supposed to get built fast, but since Mason Raymond messed up the auction, the plan kept getting pushed back.
"Once word gets out about this academy, Mason Raymond will definitely show up," Phoebe Billy said, letting out a deep breath.
They’d already set up a perfect trap around the academy. If Mason Raymond dared to appear, he wouldn’t get away even if he had wings!
——
Right now, I packed up my stuff and got ready to move somewhere new.
I put on my hat and left the Capital City that same day, heading straight for River Town.
Night came.
I held my breath and carefully snuck into the Divine Alchemist Pavilion.
My reason for coming to the Pavilion was to give the Seven-Coloured Glaze to the Pavilion Master.
Under the Pavilion Master Building.
I moved light as a feather and made it to the top floor of the Pavilion Master Building.
Everything was dead quiet upstairs; the two servants helping the Pavilion Master had already gone to sleep.
I could see an old-fashioned, fancy bed right away.
White curtains wrapped around the bed, moving slightly in the soft wind.
I walked straight to the bedside and opened my mouth to talk—but suddenly saw something I definitely shouldn’t have.
The Pavilion Master was lying on her side on the bed, completely naked, her snow-white body completely visible.
Even though she wasn’t young, her body looked like a young woman’s: perfect, smooth skin and delicate, graceful hands.
My face went bright red, and I quickly looked away, whispering, "Pavilion... Pavilion Master..."
Even though my voice was quiet, it still woke up the Pavilion Master!
Her eyes opened, her eyebrows drew together, and her face turned serious!
Still, the Pavilion Master didn’t say anything. She knew deep down that I couldn’t show myself in public right now.
She waved her hand, and a long robe covered her body.
"What did you see?" the Pavilion Master said coldly.
I waved my hands frantically and said, "I didn’t see anything..."
The Pavilion Master frowned, looked toward the servants outside, and waved her hand, sending a breath of energy at their faces.
Both of them fell into a deep, unconscious sleep.
"Pavilion Master, I... I swear I didn’t see anything... Really, I had no idea you slept without clothes on..." I said, feeling embarrassed.
The Pavilion Master’s face turned icy as she ordered sharply, "Don’t ever mention this again!"
I quickly covered my mouth and nodded hard.
"Follow me," the Pavilion Master said as she stood up and walked toward a secret room.
She waved her hand, and the entrance to a secret room opened in front of us.
"Get in," she told me.
I stepped in first and saw a huge tea table, with lots of hanging calligraphy and paintings all around.
"You’ll stay hidden here for now; nobody will think to look for you in this place," the Pavilion Master said.
I shook my head and answered, "Pavilion Master, you’ve got the wrong idea. I’m not here to hide."
The Pavilion Master asked, confused, "Then what are you here for?"
I concentrated and pulled out the Seven-Coloured Glaze.
I put it on the table and said, "I came to give this to you."
Looking at the Seven-Coloured Glaze in front of her, the Pavilion Master sighed softly and said, "That black-robed man... it really is you."
Even though she’d suspected it for a long time, she still had some doubt in her heart. Now, my actions proved her suspicions completely.
"Mason Raymond, do you understand the mess you’ve made?" the Pavilion Master said grimly.
I nodded and said, "I know, but I didn’t have any other choice."
The Pavilion Master narrowed her eyes and said, "Do you get that the people hunting you aren’t just the Capital City Martial Arts Association anymore? The authorities have put out a warrant for your arrest too!"
