Chapter 348: Chapter 329: Deterrence

In an instant, the man was so scared his legs began to tremble. None of them had expected the new Huaxia boss’s two subordinates to react so quickly.

The skinny black man, who had been looking for a chance to get revenge on Fang Chenyi, was secretly relieved he hadn’t acted rashly. ’Otherwise, I’d definitely be a corpse by now.’

Seeing that the man had only fallen, Qi Xiaotian and his partner lowered their guns. However, they didn’t let down their guard. Their muscles remained tensed, ready to raise their weapons and fire at the slightest hint of trouble.

Fang Chenyi didn’t dare let them relax either. They just had to hold on a little longer. Once his own men were on board, they could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

The young man who had fallen managed to get back on his trembling legs. With Liu Yishou’s gun trained on him, he hurried over to the communicator, found the channel for the bridge, and initiated a call.

"Captain Roselrom, our new boss wishes to speak with you. Please respond immediately. I repeat, Captain Roselrom, our new boss wishes to speak with you. Please respond immediately."

He repeated the call twice, and then a booming voice came from the other end of the communicator:

"Roselrom here. Put the boss on."

It had to be said, the voice that replied was quite resonant and pleasant to the ear. Most importantly, judging by his tone, he didn’t sound anything like David Rogers. From his voice alone, the man seemed to have a straightforward personality.

However, his tone also seemed to carry a hint of anxiety.

Fang Chenyi stood up, walked over to the communicator, picked up the handset, and spoke in Chinese:

"I am the new owner of this cruise ship. I need to inform you of something. In a short while, a smaller cruise ship will be approaching us. It’s carrying my employees, so there’s no need for alarm. Bring our ship to a stop and prepare for them to come alongside."

After Fang Chenyi finished speaking, a frustrated voice came from the other end:

"Oh, damn it, why don’t I speak that profound and complex Chinese language? Can someone tell me what the new boss is saying...?"

Roselrom couldn’t understand Fang Chenyi, but Fang Chenyi could understand him. Clearly, the captain didn’t speak Chinese.

Shaking his head in resignation, Fang Chenyi didn’t wait for the captain to find a translator and simply repeated his message in English.

Hearing the perfectly standard English, Roselrom was stunned for a moment before bursting into laughter.

"Hahaha, Boss, you speak English! That’s wonderful! Oh, my new boss, I was actually about to report this very matter to you. We’ve spotted a decently sized vessel about ten nautical miles astern, heading for us at high speed. So, you arranged it! In that case, I’ll stop the ship here and prepare for them to come alongside."

Although the captain mentioned coming alongside, the *Ocean Harmony* was simply too massive. The deck of the approaching vessel wouldn’t come close to being level with it; even two of them stacked on top of each other wouldn’t reach the main deck’s height.

With Roselrom in command, the *Ocean Harmony* soon slowed to a halt, its propellers disengaging.

Ten nautical miles didn’t sound like much, but when you’re actually sailing, you realize how far it is. It was a classic case of a destination looking closer than it really was.

It took a full half-hour for the other cruise ship to finally come within five hundred meters of the *Ocean Harmony*.

By this time, the sky had lightened. The early morning sun cascaded down, making one feel refreshed and invigorated.

Just as most of the tourists who had partied all night were finally falling asleep, the largest cruise ship currently in Dubai Port pulled up alongside the *Ocean Harmony*.

Seeing this through the window, Fang Chenyi finally allowed a relaxed smile to spread across his face.

He stood up, beckoned to Qi Xiaotian and the other man, and then led the way to the deck.

When he arrived on the main deck, he saw a large group of sailors crowded around a boarding ladder, watching the commotion. Just then, a young Huaxia man dressed in black agilely leaped onto the deck.

He was followed by a second, a third, a fourth...

In no time at all, a large contingent of men was standing on the deck.

These men all shared a few traits: short hair, dark tanned skin, and a height of no less than 1.7 meters.

It was clear that these men had spent years living and working at sea.

One hundred, two hundred, three hundred.

As the last man leaped onto the deck, the three hundred men rapidly assembled into three formations of one hundred men each.

At the same time, the sound of a rapid count-off rippled through their ranks.

In less than half a minute, the entire contingent fell dead silent. A man jogged out from each of the three formations, ran up to Fang Chenyi, snapped to attention, and shouted:

"Reporting, President Fang! First Squad assembled! One hundred men expected, one hundred men present!"

"Reporting, President Fang! Second Squad assembled! One hundred men expected, one hundred men present!"

"Reporting, President Fang! Third Squad assembled! One hundred men expected, one hundred men present!"

The scene unfolding on the deck stunned everyone present. It was an absolutely staggering sight.

Three hundred men wasn’t a huge number. Compared to the over three thousand crew members on the ship, it was a mere drop in the bucket.

But the presence these three hundred men exuded was immense. Their movements were perfectly synchronized, their discipline absolute.

Compared to them, the ship’s own security team was worlds apart.

Some tourists, drawn by the commotion, came out onto the deck. They were startled by the spectacle. ’What’s going on here? Is this some kind of hostile takeover? Are they here to rob and kill people?’

Looking at these three hundred high-spirited young men, Fang Chenyi felt a wave of heroic pride wash over him. For a moment, he felt the grandeur of a general commanding a mighty army.

With a grand wave of his hand, he subconsciously called out:

"You’ve all worked hard."

The moment the words left his mouth, he himself was taken aback. However, the scene that followed made him laugh.

In response to his "You’ve all worked hard," the young men in the three formations all snapped to attention and shouted back in unison, "It is our duty, President Fang!"

The sight was truly something indescribable.

A smile lingered on Fang Chenyi’s lips. He waved his arm and said to the three squad leaders before him, "Have the men stand by for now."

Receiving Fang Chenyi’s command, the three men snapped to attention, then turned to relay the orders to their respective squads.

Once his men were settled, Fang Chenyi turned to the few original security guards who had followed him.

"Alright. Go and notify all management personnel to assemble here for a meeting."
