Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Supreme Black Gold Card

This was a classic case of old enemies meeting, and the animosity was palpable.

Zhang Wenxia’s eyes, as she looked at Qin Tuo, were filled with deep suspicion.

"Qin Tuo, did you just say you’re withdrawing five hundred thousand?"

Zhang Wenxia asked doubtfully.

Qin Tuo nodded without saying much.

’He just wanted to hurry up, get the money, go back, and take care of things.’

"Qin Tuo, don’t tell me you’re just pretending to be rich. With that meager salary of yours, how could you possibly have five hundred thousand?"

Seeing Qin Tuo ignore her, Zhang Wenxia seethed with resentment and resumed her taunts.

Qin Tuo simply went about his business, pulling out the black card.

Just then, a bald, middle-aged man walked in.

"Honey, is it our turn yet?"

The moment Zhang Wenxia saw her husband, Hu Kai, her eyes lit up.

"Honey, you’re here! You know, I just thought of something!"

As she spoke, she shot a sneering look at Qin Tuo.

Hu Kai nodded with a doting smile.

"Whatever it is, darling, just say the word!"

As he spoke, he deliberately puffed out his chest to show off the thick gold chain around his neck, glancing around disdainfully.

Zhang Wenxia’s eyes gleamed as she said with a coquettish smile:

"I saw a BMW I really like, and my birthday is coming up... Why don’t you buy it for me as a present?"

Hearing this, the crowd around them immediately looked on with envy.

"Alright, consider it bought!"

Hu Kai declared magnanimously, drawing a series of gasps from the onlookers.

The smug look in Zhang Wenxia’s eyes grew even more intense.

"Honey, let’s get the money then!"

Zhang Wenxia urged.

Hu Kai nodded. In front of everyone, he brazenly sat down and smoothly pulled out his bank card.

This drew another round of gasps from the crowd, who were overcome with envy.

"Oh my god, that’s a gold card! I heard you need at least ten million in your account to have one of those."

"What? A card for accounts with over ten million?"

Everyone looked at Hu Kai, then back at Zhang Wenxia.

The women in the crowd, in particular, were green with envy, jealousy, and hate.

Seeing their expressions, Zhang Wenxia felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction.

But Qin Tuo didn’t even spare them a glance. Zhang Wenxia snorted inwardly.

’Fine, Qin Tuo. I haven’t settled our old scores yet. I’m going to make sure you’re thoroughly humiliated today!’

With this in mind, she deliberately raised her voice.

"Some people just love to come to the bank to feel important. Saying they’ll withdraw hundreds of thousands all at once... They don’t even think before they brag. When you can’t get the money out, I’d love to see how you’ll handle the fallout!"

Many people in the crowd snickered to themselves, knowing that Zhang Wenxia was deliberately targeting Qin Tuo.

Qin Tuo frowned, but he wasn’t in a hurry. ’Let’s see just what this Zhang Wenxia is trying to pull.’

"Hello, sir. How much would you like to withdraw?"

The bank teller, seeing how wealthy Hu Kai appeared, didn’t dare to be neglectful.

Hu Kai shot a questioning look at his wife.

Zhang Wenxia said without hesitation:

"I want to withdraw five hundred thousand!"

Five hundred thousand?

Everyone couldn’t help but glance at Qin Tuo again. They all knew now that Zhang Wenxia was intentionally targeting him—even the withdrawal amount was identical.

Qin Tuo sneered. ’In his eyes, Zhang Wenxia was no different from a clown.’

Seeing Qin Tuo looking at her, Zhang Wenxia said even more smugly:

"Qin Tuo, have you ever even seen five hundred thousand? I’ll withdraw it first to let you see what five hundred thousand in cash looks like!"

Hu Kai was just about to hand over his gold card when the teller frowned.

"I’m sorry, sir, but I’m afraid you won’t be able to withdraw that amount."

"What? Why not?"

Zhang Wenxia was stunned.

Hu Kai’s expression fell.

"What do you mean? Why can’t I withdraw it? I’m going to file a complaint! Get your manager over here!"

But the teller just shook her head and smiled amicably.

"We have a new rule: withdrawals of five hundred thousand require an appointment in advance. This applies even to our esteemed gold card holders. I do apologize."

At this, the expressions on both Zhang Wenxia and Hu Kai’s faces turned extremely ugly.

Hu Kai opened his mouth as if to say something, but he understood that if this was the bank’s rule, no one could break it.

Besides, how could a bank manager possibly come out personally to handle such a minor issue?

Bank managers are generally swamped with work, with many important matters to attend to.

They wouldn’t even meet with an ordinary customer.

Zhang Wenxia was fuming. She had wanted to show off in front of Qin Tuo, but she had been completely shut down.

Just then, she saw Qin Tuo also take out a card and hold it toward the window. She immediately sneered mockingly:

"Qin Tuo, just stop pretending. You know perfectly well that you need an appointment to withdraw five hundred thousand, so why are you still acting like you’re rich!"

Qin Tuo retorted disdainfully,

"And how do you know I can’t withdraw five hundred thousand?"

Beside them, Hu Kai couldn’t help but chime in.

"Young man, didn’t you see that even *my* gold card can’t withdraw five hundred thousand at once? So you might as well not even try. We’ll just pretend you have that much money, how about that?"

The crowd immediately burst into laughter. Clearly, everyone thought Qin Tuo was just putting on a show.

He knew he couldn’t withdraw that much money, yet he still asked. What was that if not showing off?

The bank teller instinctively began to refuse, smiling as she said,

"Sir, withdrawals over five hundred thousand require an appointment in advance!"

Qin Tuo smiled faintly.

"Oh? Are you sure?"

"Yes, sir, I’m very sure!"

The teller kept a smile on her face, but she was growing impatient.

Then, in the next instant, she saw the card in Qin Tuo’s hand. She stared at it intently, and her expression changed dramatically!

"This... This is..."

The shock in the teller’s eyes was impossible to hide.

She quickly bowed her head deeply and accepted the Supreme Black Card with both hands, full of reverence.

After checking it again and again, she was completely and utterly stunned.

’Oh my god, a limited edition Supreme Black Card? This young man actually has one?’

The teller snapped out of it and began bowing and scraping, smiling obsequiously.

"Please wait just a moment, sir!"

She typed something into her computer and quickly ran into the back.

"Huh? What’s the meaning of this? Why did she take his card but not mine?"

Hu Kai and Zhang Wenxia were instantly displeased.

Just then, the branch manager came rushing out.

The teller pointed at Qin Tuo. The manager’s expression shifted instantly, and he quickly plastered on a smile.

"Ah, sir! My apologies for the poor service! Please, follow me to the VIP lounge so we can discuss your needs in private!"

What?! The VIP lounge? For *this* kid?

The expressions on the faces of everyone in the crowd were a sight to behold.

And the manager, bowing and scraping with that fawning smile... it was simply unbelievable.

Qin Tuo nodded and walked over expressionlessly, escorted by the manager.

A dead silence fell!

Everyone looked utterly dumbfounded, a million questions running through their minds.
