Chapter 17: Chapter 17: Pharmacy Crisis
Qin Hongguo’s tone was filled with emotion, even a hint of sadness.
Qin Tuo asked in surprise:
"What kind of spell has Chen Man Ni put you two under? Do you really think she’s that great?"
Qin Tuo had to admit, while he also thought Chen Man Ni was great, he never expected his parents to approve of her so strongly.
Qin Hongguo pursed his lips.
"What’s not to like? Compared to that Xu Min, they’re like night and day. She’s such a good girl. If you don’t make a move soon, are you going to wait until you lose her to regret it?"
Qin Tuo nodded. His father had a point.

"Dad, I can handle my own future, but my relationship with Chen Man Ni really isn’t what you think."
Qin Tuo shook his head with a wry smile. He didn’t want to disappoint his parents, so he was trying to give them a heads-up.
"Oh? So you’re not boyfriend and girlfriend? Then why is she so obviously throwing herself at you?"
Qin Hongguo pressed him, determined to get to the bottom of it today.
After all, this was about his son’s future. It couldn’t be taken lightly!

A sudden idea struck Qin Tuo, and he quickly headed for the door.
"I just remembered I have to go buy medicine for Mom. I’m heading out!"
"That damn kid!"
Seeing his son was obviously trying to escape the conversation, Qin Hongguo snorted in anger, fuming helplessly.

A horn suddenly blared from behind. He turned to see a bright red Porsche Cayenne pulling up.
The window rolled down, revealing Chen Man Ni.
"Get in, Mr. Qin!"
Chen Man Ni said with a smile.
Qin Tuo nodded and, without any ceremony, hopped right into the car.
"By the way, Miss Chen, how come you’re out here too? Why didn’t you stay a little longer?"
Qin Tuo asked casually as he fastened his seatbelt.
To his surprise, Chen Man Ni chided:
"Mr. Qin, how could you just leave me there all alone to deal with your parents?"
Qin Tuo flushed. He knew he hadn’t handled that very well.
Leaving a girl who’d come to visit all alone with his parents was definitely an awkward situation for her.
Qin Tuo gave an embarrassed laugh and said:
"I just saw how well you and my mom were getting along, so I figured I’d give you two some space to get better acquainted."
But in reality, he had just been making an excuse to escape his father.
"Oh, we did get along quite well."
Chen Man Ni said, nodding as she drove.
"I can tell your mother really likes me. So... does that mean I’ve successfully passed the ’parent test’?"
she asked, winking playfully.
Qin Tuo knew Chen Man Ni would take any opportunity to tease him, so he just looked down at his phone to hide his embarrassment.
"By the way, Qin Tuo, where are we headed?"
Chen Man Ni asked nonchalantly.
They had already driven halfway down the mountain, leaving the Upper Bay Area and entering the Lower Bay Area.
Qin Tuo said:
"I need to go to a pharmacy to pick up some medicine for my mom."
"Okay."
Chen Man Ni didn’t waste any time. If it was for medicine, they should go to the biggest pharmacy in the city center.
Suddenly, a red BMW shot out from a side road up ahead, moving fast!

Chen Man Ni jumped in surprise and frantically honked the horn.
But who knew if the driver of the red BMW panicked, but they seemed to mistake the accelerator for the brake.

The two cars smashed right into each other.

"What kind of idiot drives like that? Are they blind?"
She got out to check the damage and frowned. The entire front end of her beloved limited-edition Porsche Cayenne was caved in.
The person in the red BMW was none other than Xu Min. She had just dropped off Zhang Yinhuan and never expected to get into an accident like this.

Xu Min’s face went deathly pale.
She had just seen with her own eyes that the red Porsche Cayenne had come from the Upper Bay Area.

She put two and two together. Chen Man Ni and Qin Tuo, out on a private drive... ’Could their relationship actually be serious?’
Xu Min’s heart twisted with jealousy, and her expression became extremely stiff.
"Miss Chen, if there’s nothing else, let’s get going," Qin Tuo said, not even sparing Xu Min a glance.
Getting his mom’s medicine was more important than taunting Xu Min.

The two of them drove to the largest pharmacy in the city center.
Qin Tuo got out of the car and was about to enter the pharmacy.
Suddenly, a group of burly men in black trench coats and sunglasses appeared from all directions!
"Hm?"
